New Cutscene Welcome back to another Iragon changelog. We have a new camp cutscene for you guys. While Lexi's reading her journal Darick decides to try and bond with her. They have an intimate moment together and share their deep thoughts and feelings. Lexi’s face animations are still work in progress in the scene. You can see this in the Experimental Hall in both TP and VR in the Lexi End of New Solis portal.
Dark Elf Reaction Another thing we finished are the Dark Elf girl reactions in the Monster Girl Gallery. If you go and touch the girl on the head she reacts. This is testable in the Monster Girl Gallery after defeating one dark elf girl in the game.
Spell Visual Changes Lastly, we’ve made a number of visual improvements to all of the projectile spells and the Ice AOE spell. You can see them by going through the New Spell System portal in the Experimental Hall.
How was your year?
This year was a wild ride for us, with lots of ups and downs. How was your year? Play any good games? Go on any wild adventures?
In this post we're going to talk a bit about style meters, why Vernal Edge opts to not include them, and how we go about trying to more naturally encourage you to play stylishly on your own.
To start, a style meter is usually a letter grade you can see while in combat that helps you evaluate how "stylish" your combat performance is. What exactly constitutes stylish gameplay varies from game to game, but most games look for two things. That you don't use the same moves repeatedly, and that you don't get hit.
As for ourselves, we prefer to keep your decisions in combat practical (extrinsic motivation for you designers). Being efficient in character action games can sometimes result in gameplay that is far removed from the style the game sets out to achieve. Repeating single actions, using items that lower your style score, etc. We take steps to combat this and make players close to the skill floor of the game still feel like they can fight stylishly.
If you want to get all the updates about Vernal Edge, follow and wishlist the game!
There was an issue in the previous update which made it so the game sometimes wouldn't launch - this issue should now be fixed. Please let us know if you're still seeing this problem!
We also fixed a few other things while we were at it.
Thanks!
1.50.1
Added more shorthands for really large numbers.
Items no longer roll enchants/stats that are exclusive to a class that isn't being played, ie no longer getting random Shadow Damage when not playing a Warlock or Ammo enchants when not playing Mechanist.
Fixed some missing text in localizations.
Fix for game not starting properly on Steam sometimes.
Our Hellebore plush campaign is fully funded! Thank you to everyone who has supported us and made this happen. We are delighted to announce that campaign has been extended one more week!
It means there is still time for you to take home one of our limited edition cosy black cat plushies – but this is your last chance - so no dallying. A loyal cuddly companion for rainy days and cold nights who will look after you and your plants in return for pets and scritches behind the ears. That’s an offer you can’t refuse.
Take one home today (well… when they are shipped… but today you can make the commitment - to a life long friendship): https://shop.makeship.com/3TFRLrP
Remember, we will donate all our profits from sales to a local animal shelter (www.bluecross.org.uk) so a portion of every purchase goes toward helping find homes for cats and other animals that need them. Additionally all backers will get 4 bonus digital wallpapers.
A lot has been done in the past week! The main thing is transparency! You can now easily change an object's visibility to make things like windows or glasses!
Full changelog:
Features
- Added transparency - Added the ability the rebind the default movement keys - Removed reset button and a bunch of anxiety that people would save an almost empty scene thinking it's a new one, while it's actually the original scene they reset - Starting or restarting the tutorial will no reset the camera's position - Build music, as well as dance is now randomized every time you switch between build mode and dance mode. I know, those 2 songs got annoying. - Added reset buttons for position, rotation, and scale - The game now saves/loads the last selected dance animation between savefiles and sessions
Fixes:
- You can no longer use delete key 1 while dancing - You can no longer parent an object while dancing - You can no longer spawn in an object at the exact same time as pressing space to dance - Parenting from the hierarchy is no completely possible and no longer hides objects - You can no longer save, load, or start a new character while following the tutorial - You can no longer move, rotate, or scale objects while dancing by holding the left mouse button and pressing spacebar - Fixed rotation bugs caused by tiny numbers in the inputfields
Christmas gifts are part of the holiday tradition and since you, our #BestCommunityEver, have been extremely good and supportive this year, we’d like to show you our gratitude in the form of a small early present. The Christmas Paint Jobs Pack DLCs for both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 have received some new additions!
Last year during our annual Christmas World of Trucks event we introduced a number of uniquely painted trailers that contained gifts for transportation. After your excitement and many requests, we have decided to add these awesome-looking styles to the existing DLCs dedicated to this special holiday. That means with the start of the #ChristmasReflections event yesterday, both packs (ETS2 and ATS) received three new paint jobs for your trailers!
We can’t wait for you to combine the matching paint jobs on your trucks, but feel free to experiment and mix it up a bit as well. Make sure to tag us on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and show us what you will come up with. We truly hope this update to the packs will cheer you up and fully evoke the holiday spirit within you!

We are excited to launch a major update for Flashing Lights today, which introduces official modding support! For a long time mods have been a key part of the community, so we're excited to now make browsing and installing mods much more accessible. For now, supported mods are textures and sounds only, but we are looking into expanding the types of mods supported in the future.
We have over 150 community-created mods already up and running available to browse and install right now in-game, including custom uniforms, vehicle skins and sirens, so take a look once you've updated! (And if you're interested in creating and uploading mods yourself please visit our https://mod.io/g/flashing-lights/r!) Take a look at https://mod.io/g/flashing-lights to see the full selection of mods so far!
To install mods, simply hit the 'Mods' button in the main menu, click 'open mod.io browser', browse available mods, click 'subscribe' on the desired mods in order to download them, and then (back in the mods section of the main menu) click on the 'assign mods' button.
The update also includes a world update, with the City Marina and City East areas updated, a refreshed diner, and a number of new interiors all added throughout the open world. We've also done some additional background work to optimise loading for this update. As previously announced, we did a lot of optimisation work earlier in the year, and we will also continue working on optimisation next year.
We want to give a big shout out to the existing Flashing Lights modding community who have been making and sharing mods long before today's update, especially our modding support team on the Discord, the team behind FLMods.com and everyone who has created mods over the years.
Please note: Unfortunately, we have run into issues regarding modding support on Mac OS. We are doing our best to get these addressed as soon as possible. However, this may take some time and we hope to have further updates on this soon. You can still open the modding area and browse the mods, but these will fail to install.
Full Patch Notes
