Hello agents and welcome to update 2011! This update gives you more bang for your buck as two of Intruder's most powerful weapons get an upgrade, a classic map gets a new mode, and the game is on sale for 50% off!


Summer is finally here, but intruders never take a vacation. In fact, the summer season is their busiest time of year! Faced with an ever growing demand for intruding, they have decided to slash their recruitment fee allowing you to get in on the action for half the price! That's right, Intruder is 50% off for the Steam Summer Sale! We are counting on you, Agent, don't let us down. But wait... there's more! During the sale, Agents earn bonus XP for every mission they complete. No there's no excuse for you to not unlock some cool gear!

2x XP from June 24th through June 26th
1.5x XP from June 27th through July 8th




With a complete graphics overhaul, the classic sniper rifle has been redesignated: The Falcon.



Strike your enemies down before they even know what happened! The Falcon is a semi-automatic sniper rifle with a fixed optic allowing you to take out your targets from a distance. Best paired with a spotter using the range-finding binoculars to give you wind speed and distance, no other weapon matches the stopping power of this gun. One shot is enough to knock over most enemies from any distance and leave them bleeding if they manage to get back up. With such a powerful payload, The Falcon has no problem shooting through doors, but you have stabilize yourself by crouching or going prone to reel in that recoil!






Also receiving a graphics update, say hello to The HammerHead, a pump action shotgun that is able to deliver lethal blows with a solid lead projectile. Best used on an unsuspecting target or to backup a teammate with a shield, The HammerHead knocks over most enemies at close range with a single shot, even through doors! Attach a red dot sight to hit enemies who are a bit further out to deal massive damage and stop them in their tracks. Too far, and the slug loses its energy making it less effective at both hurting your enemy and knocking them down. Keep your enemies close, but keep The HammerHead closer.




With Oceanside being completely transformed, it wouldn't be fair if Cliffside didn't get to join in on some fun. The classic Raid mode that you know and love from maps like Riverside and Oceanside have now come to Cliffside! With a single extract point located in the garage, The intruders have to get in and get out before the guards can lock it down. If fast paced action is your style, then this is the mode for you!




These unlocks will only be available during the Steam Summer Sale:

There are also 3 new "hats" limited to the Summer Sale Event:






The shotgun and sniper have been re-skinned and remodeled to become The Hammerhead and The Falcon. With this upgrade, over 50 new items have been made available including new skins, hats. patches, and more!

As always, we strive to make Intruder more fun and fair to play! With so many new players, there's bound to be a few rotten apples in the bunch. Things like abusive chat, mic spam, and AFK teammates can quickly make a game turn sour, so we've implemented a few changes to keep your games sweet.

Changes:

• You can now mute a player's text chat along with their voice chat
  
  
• Basic chat sanitization has been added that automatically mutes and reports abusive messages.
  
• The option to add a profanity filter can be found in the general options tab.
  
• The option to have the taskbar flash when a new round starts is available in the general options tab.
  
  
• The taskbar will flash when you are alt-tabbed out of the game so you don't forget to hop back in!
  
• You can now clear the map selection when creating a room.
  

Bugfixes:

• Tons of behind the scenes error fixes for more stability
  
• Legacy particles updated
  
• Check for best region upon app start
  
• Potentially fix hqbackground being reset
  
• Prevent accidental binocs mode switch whilst typing

With the update of Oceanside 2.0, some new map maker functions have been added. We'll get you the details on all of that soon!
