Product Update - Valve
An update has been released for Left 4 Dead 2.

Mac / Linux
- Fixed a buffer overrun which could cause a crash on start-up
- Fixed an audio bug which could cause a crash on start-up

EMS
- Allow scripts to write to sub-directories of the 'ems' folder
- Script system will look for *_entities.txt files in /ems/maps as a fallback

- Changed and improved interface for rituals’ window on the strategic map.
- Changed and improved interface for rituals’ tooltips.
- Changed and improved interface for special locations in the strategic map.

- Changed and improved interface for spells’ window on the tactical map.

- Added ability to control the province (hire guards, construct buildings, etc.) in the province’s info-window (in the bottom right corner).
- Icons for units and items are now clickable in all windows, an information windows is showed after a mouse button click
- Reworked skill information window for heroes/units and terrain information on the tactical map. They are now auto-scaled and can be changed. All tooltips are displayed normally, without covering the mouse cursor and an item.
- Added visual clue for inability to construct buildings in the Citadel and provinces, perform a ritual and hire a guard during the current turn.
- Achievements can now be viewed in the game and be exported to the Steam account.
- Added ‘Lord of Bones’ achievement (summon over 50 skeletons or zombies in a battle for the shard).
- Added two spells for multiplayer: ‘Create Golem’ and ‘Summon Phoenix’.
- Increased available screen resolutions number that can be selected in the game.
- Unified window close buttons.
- Added detailed tooltips for difficulty levels.
- Unit information can now be viewed during a shard attack.
- Icon for building status in its tooltip is replaced with the text.
- Improved tooltip for gold and gems status on the lower panel.
- Scout that takes the path of Warrior (‘Adventurer’) now gains ‘Second Wind’ skill on level 10 (moving and attacking in the same turn without spending additional energy) and ‘Swiftness’ skill on level 20 (moving after the attack).
- A few other small improvements.

Fixed:

- ‘Can’t Stop Building’ achievement.
- ‘Collector’ achievement.
- Item sets not working correctly.
- A bug that caused stamina to decrease before the shot happens.
- All resources in the Necromancy window are now displayed correctly.
- Incorrect location of the spells in multiplayer.
- A bug that let player deploy army on the arena for AI.
- A bug that caused disappearance of the whole garrison left in a province after upgrading Outpost to Fort.
- Some letters getting cut out in the hero’s level up window.
- Esc button working incorrectly in informational windows on the tactical map in some cases.
- Hotkeys not working in a neutral shop.
- Building tooltip covering contruction button on lower screen resolutions. Tooltips display is now generally improved on lower resolutions.
- Inability to exit the province list after pressing Esc button.
- Dialog bugs.
- Tooltips covered by the lower panel on the strategic map.
- Highlight of clickable elements on the astral map.
- Incorrect display of the tooltip after closing radial province menu.

- Rare bug that doubled unit’s death if the hero had ‘Master of the Undead’ skill.
- Empty trophy window after clearing an ambush.
- Missing number for damage by towers during capital’s siege.
- Game’s logic breach caused by long animation and inaccurate action order after the double shot.
- Game’s logic breach after calculation of the shooting results during fast orders giving.
- Synchronization bugs in attack and death animations on the tactical map.
- Game freeze caused by transition to the tactical map when player’s province was in rebellion and he chose to suppress it with his army.


Counter-Strike: Source - Valve
An update to Counter-Strike: Source has been released. The update will be applied automatically when you restart Counter-Strike: Source. The major changes include:

  • Fixed clients not being able to load custom player/weapon models using the custom folder
  • Updated with other Orange Box client/engine crash fixes

Futuremark SystemInfo updated to v4.20. SystemInfo is a component used in many Futuremark benchmarks to identify the hardware in your system. It does not collect any personally identifiable information. SystemInfo updates do not affect benchmark scores but you may need the latest version in order to get a valid score.

Futuremark SystemInfo v4.20 release notes:
• Updated CPUID module for improved hardware detection.
• Updated AMD ADL library for improved compatibility with latest hardware.
• Improved hardware scan speed by about 50%.
• Added Windows 8 RTC verification to online result validation.

Benchmark version numbers have not changed.


Team Fortress 2 - Valve
An update to Team Fortress 2 has been released. The update will be applied automatically when you restart Team Fortress 2. The major changes include:

  • Fixed a noclip exploit related to dueling and coaching
  • Fixed clients not being able to run on WindowsXP
  • Fixed The Filamental displaying the burning material in DirectX8
  • Fixed an exploit that allowed Strange counters to be incremented negatively
  • Fixed The Crusader's Crossbow healing teammates with The Equalizer or The Escape Plan deployed
  • Fixed The Expert's Ordnance, The Hibernating Bear, and The Medieval Medic item sets not listing their associated hats
  • Updated The Sticky Jumper to only allow 2 active stickybombs at a time
  • Updated The Rump-o'-Lantern
    • Fixed stock Medic not being able to equip it
    • Fixed not using the correct materials when equipped by the Medic

- Added the Arms Deal Contract, allowing players to exchange items from the Arms Deal case.

[ARMS DEAL]
- It is now possible to use Name Tags on stock/default items.

[UI]
- Clan tags are now displayed in the lobby.

[GAMEPLAY]
- Players can now only purchase 1 smoke grenade per round.
- Synchronized M4A1 and M4A4 reload completion event with visual magazine insertion and sound effect.
- Improved some bad cases of player radar visibility through smoke volumes.
- Enemy target IDs now only appear when the crosshair is over a target player's hitboxes instead of their overall bounding box.
- Looking at a weapon in-game (default F) no longer interrupts attaching or detaching silencers.

[MISC]
- The kill panel now correctly displays item rarity and owner.
- Kill panel damage given and received stats no longer add damage from before a player took over a bot.
- Fixed weapon inventory hud flashing when it didn't find the selected weapon in edge cases where you just threw a grenade.
- Fixed hud inventory not refreshing properly in some cases when picking up a flashbang.
- Fixed a bug that reported "hltv_changed_target" as an unused event in the console.
- Fixed weapon icons appearing dark for some Mac versions.
- When watching friends games on official servers, GOTV information is now requested asynchronously from matchmaking servers.
- CS:GO inventory items in Steam Community profiles now list most recently acquired items first.
- Improved CS:GO matchmaking servers stability.
- Fixed context menu popping up over the client info panel in the lobby.
- Added a cheat protected convar named "cl_draw_only_deathnotices" that turns off most hud except for death notices (for movie makers).
Product Update - Valve
A dedicated Mac version of Metro: Last Light is now available via Steam, with development duties handled in-house by 4A Games.

The studio are also putting the finishing touches to a Linux version, scheduled for release a little later in the year.

Metro: Last Light on Steam supports Steam Play, meaning that owners of any Steam version will automatically find the game has been added to their PC, Mac and (ultimately) Linux Steam libraries.

Metro: Last Light for Mac and Linux will also receive the same DLC packages as the Windows PC and console versions. Mac players can already download Ranger Mode and the RPK, and the first two pieces of DLC from the Season pass - the Faction Pack and the Tower Pack. And of course, purchasing the Season Pass will grant access to the last two DLC's scheduled for release, the Developer Pack and the Chronicles Packs.

Whilst we have loved seeing you enjoy playing Order of War on Steam, unfortunately it is no longer viable for us to continue to run the multiplayer servers due to the low volume of traffic and so the servers were switched off on September 1st, 2013. The multiplayer aspect of Order of War and Order of War: Challenge have subsequently ceased to function, and customers will notice that Order of War: Challenge has been removed from their Steam library.
