Watch Martha Is Dead | MetaHuman | AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.1 and Intel XeSS Support Trailer below:
What is AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.1?
FSR 2.1 is an enhanced upscaling algorithm used to and is designed to deliver similar or better than native image quality whilst improving frame rate on supported hardware. This allows higher resolutions or next generation effects (such as ray tracing) to be enabled to improve visual quality across the board in supported titles - without sacrificing framerate whilst maintaining a playable experience and enhancing certain visual aspects such as fine edges and detail over distance. This latest implementation of FSR shows additional improvements to upscaling image quality over FSR 2.0 - reducing issues such as ghosting or shimmering.
What hardware supports FSR 2.1?
AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution scales across a broad spectrum of new and older products, including integrated graphics, and is optimized for AMD RDNA™ and AMD RDNA 2™ architecture-based Radeon™ RX 6000 and RX 5000 Series graphics cards. FSR is also supported on select NVIDIA® graphics cards.*
AMD Radeon™ 6000 Series AMD Radeon™ 6000M Series AMD Radeon™ 5000 Series AMD Radeon™ 5000M Series AMD Radeon™ VII Graphics AMD Radeon™ RX Vega Series AMD Radeon™ 600 Series AMD Radeon™ RX 500 Series AMD Radeon™ RX 480/470/460 Graphics AMD Ryzen™ Desktop Processors with AMD Radeon™ Graphics AMD Ryzen™ Mobile Processors with Radeon™ Graphics NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 30 Series NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 20 Series NVIDIA® GeForce® 16 Series NVIDIA® GeForce® 10 Series
*AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution is “game dependent” and is supported on the products listed above if the minimum requirements of the game are met. AMD does not provide technical or warranty support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution enablement on NVIDIA® graphics cards. To prevent over-sharpening, we recommend not to use Radeon™ Image Sharpening with FSR-enabled games.
What impact does FSR 2.1 have on Martha Is Dead?
FSR2.1 is selectable from the settings menu by enabling ‘upscaler’ at the bottom of the page, you will be able to select between 3 visual modes with the upscaler enabled :
Quality : Highest visual fidelity and highest frame impact
Balanced : Increased visual fidelity over native, small frame rate impact
FSR 1.0 will also remain within the game.
Added support for Intel XeSS
What is Intel Xe Super Sampling?
Intel Xess is similar to AMD’s FSR and Nvidia’s DLSS upscaling solutions - with the benefit of being able to support a wider range of GPU’s across the board.
XeSS isn’t too complicated to understand. Instead of running a game at native resolution (let’s say 4K), it takes a variety of inputs from the game at a lower resolution (like 1080p). Those inputs feed into the XeSS upscaling engine, which includes an AI model to enhance the upscaling. The final result, theoretically, should be an image that looks like the native resolution but with much higher performance.
For specifics, XeSS takes depth, motion, color, and lighting inputs from the game. After performing the upscaling, the final results from these inputs are stored in an internal history. That history feeds data to the next incoming frame, and the cycle continues. While that’s happening, XeSS takes the frame you see and performs temporal anti-aliasing (TAA) to clean up jagged edges. XeSS replaces traditional anti-aliasing, as it can upscale and perform anti-aliasing in the same step.
Using the upscaling technology added in this new update on mid-tier PC rigs running on High Detail and 4k resolution has seen increases of up to 35 FPS average across various chapters - all without a loss of fidelity or detail.
Download the newest update now to enable the upscalers on compatible hardware and see Tuscany smoother than ever before - and don't forget to tell friends yet to play Martha Is Dead that they take advantage of our largest ever discount for the next week and join you in Tuscany.

In This special episode of Martha Uncovered. We go behind the music with Francesca Messina and Massimiliano Lo Sardo from Femina Ridens.
They talk about how their love of similar Music & Cinema to Luca Dalco helped them understand the music needed for Martha Is Dead.
Francesca Messina was born in Florence. From early age has had contact with different cultures and music styles that significantly inspired her artistic path. As a musician she constantly experimented with her voice, her music ranges from World Music to Dance (Gold Record Award with Lady Violet) shifting to Contemporary Theatre and Opera (the International Theatre Festival Biennale di Venezia and Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Theatre).
Massimiliano Lo Sardo multi-instrumentalist has developed his interest in improvisation and musical experimentation since the early ’90s.
Femina Ridens's latest project is Kalenda Maya. it's a collection of witty and touching songs taken from Medieval manuscripts written in Europe from the 10th to the 14th century. The project goes beyond paying tribute to European and Mediterranean roots, moreover is blending in harmony old and contemporary vibes through a fine reworking of melodies. This fresh approach to Medieval music creates live performances that seek to draw out different expressive possibilities suggested by the original material, truly creating a bridge between the past and the future.
