They decided they had missed many titles in their earlier list of '10 Underrated Horror Games Released In the Last Decade.' We were delighted to see a couple of Wired classics make this new list of FandomWire's list of underrated horror games.
The Town of Light.
"Town of Light is an interesting first-person psychological horror game that deals with themes surrounding mental illness and sexual abuse across mental health institutions in the early 20th century. The game carries a genuinely unnerving atmosphere with the setting of a derelict mental hospital in Tuscany, Italy maxing the creepiness out to 11 with each creaking door and flickering light."
Close To the Sun
"Looking for a taste of that haunting retrofuturism without having to play Bioshock for the tenth time? Well, Close to the Sun will give you that fix. Taking place aboard the city-sized ship known as Helios, you play as a journalist called Rose who has been invited aboard by her sister Ada via a cryptic letter."
Both of the games join Martha is Dead which made the original list.
Martha is Dead.
"There is a lot about Martha Is Dead that makes it one of the most underrated horror games released in the last decade. From the engaging plotline, to the brilliant voice acting, to the brilliant graphics, Martha Is Dead presents itself as a rival to heavy hitters like Resident Evil Village, rather than just being yet another throwaway first-person horror title. It also contains an interesting camera mechanic and a number of cutscenes that use a creepy puppet show to provide a great deal of additional character depth."

Here is our good friend Tomas Sala, the games solo dev guiding you through the Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles Free Build Gameplay Reveal Trailer:
Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles is a chilled base builder, players can explore an unforgiving environment, manage the flow of resources as you help to breathe life into the land and provide asylum to those lost. Meet and hire commanders and specialists that unlock new building options, units and stories.
Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles requires a novel approach to building, something that isn’t about clicking over a screen but focusing on the world itself. In this sense, the game is one of experimental gameplay and controls, supported by a world and settlement that comes alive before your eyes.
Our friends at Rogue Sun have today launched Tin Hearts on Steam.
Step by step, Heart to heart, Left, right, left, We all fall down. Like toy soldiers.
To celebrate the launch of Tin Hearts, which last week saw an animated prequel story narrated by legend Stephen Fry, Artists Aisha Vaughan and Kieron Pepper collaborated with Black Razor Records, the indie music label founded by Wired Productions, to create a cover of iconic and classic Toy Soldiers by Martika. The devastating beautiful track perfectly encapsulates the emotion of Tin Hearts, winner of the ‘Most Anticipated Nintendo Switch Game’ accolade during Gamescom 2022.
Watch below:

Released on Black Razor Records. “Broken Walls” is the latest release from alternative rock/rap artists, Ivar & The Horde (Stu Brootal & Kieron Pepper), and draws inspiration from the war-themed arcade twin-stick shooter ‘Tiny Troopers: Global Ops’ which launched on 9th March.
The game highlights a series of military megalomaniacs from around the world, and their greed-filled desire to cause conflict and chaos.
Every contribution on the GoFundMe will receive a download code for:
All proceeds from the song on Bandcamp and the GoFundMe will be donated to War Child.
Please give as much as you can, because 1 in every 6 children in the world are affected by armed conflict and we can make a difference. If you can't support financially. Please, share the message and get it seen by as many people as possible.

However, Martha is Dead has gone even better and won the Grand Prix award at the Indie Game Award 2023 at the Taipei Game Show.
You can watch the awards below:
The organizers at the Taipei Game Show got to interview Luca Dalcò from LKA about the win.
"Winning such an award can change something inside a person. When my ideas and the team receive such an important award, especially from a distant place with a culture so different from Italy, it becomes even more special. It serves as a powerful motivation for the team to strive to do better."
The Indie Game Award 2023, one of the most prominent awards for indie games, unveiled award winners at the Taipei Game Show (TGS).
Shuhei Yoshida, Head of Indies Initiative at Sony Interactive Entertainment, was invited to present the awards at TGS, bringing incredible honour to indie game developers.
The Indie Game Award 2023 received 170 submissions from over 35 countries, which are record-high numbers that make the award more competitive than ever.
Only 8 indie game developers were able to take home the prizes and we are immensely proud to say Wired published title Martha is Dead took home the grand prize.
We are incredibly proud of this dark first-person psychological thriller crafted by the Italian Developers at LKA. A game that never shies away from loss, relationships, and the psychological undertones of a dark period of history. It also proudly embraces its Italian heritage from the breathtakingly realised Tuscany countryside to the authentic Italian soundtrack.
We have also celebrated Martha is Dead in a Collector's Edition. Our most ambitious one yet and is truly an item that every collector will cherish. Our initial run has now shipped from our warehouse and we are close to announcing the commencement of allocation two.
Register over at the Wired Store to be first in the queue.
