Next Fest is going to the end, and for this event we made a small update with some little changes:

  • We made small balance for battle chance, because some players said the game is too hard.

  • As we planned, commanders now have passive effect. They give bonus for hit chance to different ship systems, and it grows with level.

  • Engineers now repair more ship health with level (from 20 on level 1 to 50 on level 4). But starting from level 3, cooldown is now 25 turns.

  • Added economy news that change prices of buying and selling ephrytium on stations, trade ships and mines.

  • Improved crew interaction when you try to fire member. Now you will see confirmation message and can cancel this action.

  • Also we added two new station missions to destroy Zuglu ships in the medium and hard mission sections.

  • Fixed some small bugs and softlocks.

We want to say this is still demo version of the game. Some things can work not perfect or look not finished. Of course later we will improve many parts and add a lot of new content.

We are happy to see new players and thank you for your support and feedback in Google forms - it really helps us make the game better.

Hello everyone!

I'm incredibly excited to release what is probably the biggest update for Jeff the Killer: Horror Game yet! I've been working hard, reading all of your feedback, and trying my best to make the game we all want it to be. This update touches everything—from the story and graphics to the game's stability.

What I've Added
  • "Jeff's Origin" Mini-Game: It's finally here! I've added a brand-new playable chapter where you can dive into the past and discover the horrific events that turned an ordinary boy into a merciless killer.

  • Complete Graphical Overhaul: I've put a lot of effort into the visuals. Most textures have been reworked to support up to 4K resolution. I also improved the lighting and added new shaders (like for gasoline puddles) to make the atmosphere even more oppressive.

  • Sleek New UI: I've updated the user interface with a stylish "frosted glass" effect. It now looks more modern and is less distracting from the gameplay.

  • New Intro Scenes & Achievements: To make your journey even more memorable, I've added new cinematic intro scenes and, of course, fresh achievements for the most dedicated players!

Fixes & Improvements

I've gone through a mountain of code and squashed a TON of bugs you've reported. No more falling through the floor, broken scripts, or visual glitches! Here’s what I focused on:

  • Stability & Gameplay: I eliminated critical errors that caused players to get stuck, fixed broken mechanics (like the elevator), and smoothed out object interaction.

  • Smarter AI: Jeff is smarter now! I've tweaked his logic, and he now reacts correctly to your actions, even when you're hiding.

  • Visuals & Audio: the infamous pink notes, audio playing on the pause menu, and laggy cutscenes are now a thing of the past.

  • Localization & Text: I fixed text scaling in flashbacks and added missing voice-overs.

For those who love the details, here is the full changelog: \[/p]

  • Fixed a critical bug that prevented the scene after the intro from starting.

  • Jeff's AI has been improved; he now reacts correctly when the player is in a hiding spot.

  • The item inspector mechanic has been completely reworked and fixed.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the player to fall through the floor after landing.

  • Fixed a bug where notes in the English version displayed with an incorrect color.

  • Players can now interact with hatches even while holding another item.

  • Added an improved shader for gasoline puddles to make them look more realistic.

  • Fixed bugs related to the elevator and resolved an issue where audio continued to play on the pause menu.

  • The opening hand-drawn cutscene has been optimized to prevent lag.

  • Adjusted text size in flashbacks for better readability.
