Hi everyone! Just wanted to share a quick devlog to keep you in the loop. I’m making good progress on the next update, the new ending is already implemented, along with several new panels. My trusty playtesters will be checking out the build soon, and if all goes well the update should be ready in about two weeks. See you soon!

• (Potentially) Fix the random crashes in online play
  
• Disable reset postions after succeeding a combo
  
• If descending during air Singular, set y velocity to 0 instantly and no gravity
  
• Show chip damage with "Block All" by only resetting health when red health is equal to yellow health
  
• Add playback options for: 214H, 421H, 41236H, 63214H, 5G, 236G, 214G, and AZ four reps of shot loops
  
• Fix character select song playing if starting a training match, then returning to Char Select, then select chars/gems

Have you ever looked at it and wondered why it looks so familiar?

Well, this painting is also based on a real one - George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River! This event occurred on the night of December 25th - 26th, 1776, during the American Revolutionary War. It was the first move in a complex and surprise military manoeuvre organized by George Washington, the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army. Here's the existing painting below!

There are so many IRL inspirations in this game! We've mentioned some of them in previous From the Court editions, but do you think you can spot any more?

This week on Behind the Dice, we asked the devs: What was the process of recording the voice overs for the characters like?

Luckily I have a lot of gregarious friends! Although I am of the firm belief that anyone can do VO, everyone has a great natural voice that can be used for fantastic characters, its just a case of finding the right fit. For Dicealot, I gathered some of my close friends (and my better half), and we winged most of it. I always have some lines written for each character, but its usually about half the necessary VO, and then we ad-lib the other half.

Its generally a case of me laying out what I thought about for the characters personality, and then whoever wants to do a take for them, we just go with that. There's some back and forth and little directing by me, but its really an exercise in silliness for the most part. Its always one of my favourite days for game production, even if I then have to spend hours cutting around the off-mic laughter to get the good takes!

I couldn't get any photos of them in the process of recording the VO, and I am not an artist by any means. So instead, here is my stick figure rendition of friends having fun recording some voice overs!

....Just pretend you can see the fun through their expressionless faces.
