We discovered a pesky bug in our last build that was causing some major performance issues with one of our plot point events in the Horror Theme. So for now we have removed Moonlit Inspiration while we take some time and interrogate this joker in the back room.

Also added a few other small fixes:

  • Removed Moonlit Inspiration from Plot Point rotation in Horror theme until fix can be added

  • Had a bug where some resolution settings weren't being saved locally on your devices. - Fixed

  • Added more local safeguards to our custom AI system in case of outages

I have updated the game with a bunch of changes! Unfortunately, inflation in the Spacenap's world rised a little during the night, but I am sure you will accommodate with the new prices :steammocking:

  • Fixed an issue where linked couldn't be done between stars

  • Fixed an issue with close distances constellations not detecting properly

  • Increased required level for Eras 7 and 8

  • Fixed an issue with empty stars dropping in last Era

  • Rebalancing of the overall progression

  • Fix tutorial sometimes getting stuck at step 3

  • Trade's stars choice now tries to fill all empty slots on the right

  • Fixed an issue with achievements not working if triggered simultaneously

Thank you all who are playing and trying out Exodus of Descent during Steam Next Fest! We will be having a more thorough update soon explaining what we are working on and our roadmap looking ahead. In the meantime, we are gathering feedback and constantly looking for improvements to make Exodus of Descent the best RPG experience we all want it to be!

In this update, I applied the new Unity security patch that has been plaguing games made with unity.
Also I set the default audio volume to 80%

Today's patch addresses two issues which impacted a very small number of players, so most players can simply ignore it. However, for those who were impacted by these issues, they made the game unpleasant or outright unplayable, so I did not want to wait until 1.1 to address them.

As always, please let me know if any new issues arise as a result of this update, and please leave us a Steam review if you haven't already! Our Steam visibility has fallen off a cliff this week and we really need more reviews to bring our store page back to life. Thank you for your help!

Fixed:
  • Solved an issue which could in rare circumstances cause the storyline of the second dungeon to be impossible to progress
  • Solved an issue which would sometimes cause users window resolution to automatically get changed to the lowest setting

If you are one of the people impacted by the bug in dungeon 2, please enter the dungeon once again and continue onward. The item you needed to progress will now be automatically placed in your inventory if you met the requirements to get it, but don't have it.
