Since the launch of Freelance Jobs capsuleers and corporations have found various incredible ways to put them to good use, nefarious and noble. Creating your own SRP programs, recruiting like-minded capsuleers to corporations, competing in PvE competitions, creating your own missions, focusing efforts in Factional Warfare, and just getting your name out there. Space is active, and you’re the ones creating the action!  

But one thing has been missing, because some deliveries take longer than expected. Others arrive precisely when they mean to. The latest update to the Legion expansion brings the much-anticipated addition of the “Deliver” job type to Freelance Jobs – a logistics addition that will take your creativity to the next level, allowing you to set up buyback programs, regular fuel delivery tasks, and so much more. Many of you have asked for this addition since day one (and we hear you: day one would have been nice). 

A special thank you goes out to everyone who participated in the Singularity test and those who made their voices heard via Discord, forums and Reddit. 

Delivery made simple 

This new job type allows corporations to request item deliveries directly to the Freelance Job, streamlining logistics and stimulating the movement of goods across New Eden. Allowing the delivery of the item to the job itself enables you to run concurrent requests for the same item without issue. No hangar space clashes, no asset pileups, just clean, trackable contributions. And for the freelancer, yes, it all happens ship-to-job, straight from your cargo hold. 

For corporations, it’s a way to tap into the capsuleer market for swift and scalable logistics. For freelancers, it’s a chance to earn ISK by moving materials and making your mark.  

Ownership transfer, contribution records, and payouts all happen seamlessly. It’s the delivery method you’ve been waiting for. Just a bit late. 

A Sizzling Summer

This summer is proving to be quite a busy time in New Eden. Legion recently saw a Not-so-little update and capsuleers have been busy generating killmails in nullsec and lowsec, PLEX trading has just become tradeable from anywhere, and between 15 and 22 July, Solar Fest is coming, bringing some hot drops for SKINR and more. Make sure you log in daily during Solar Fest to receive some amazing goodies, including a never-before-seen color-shifting gloss nanocoating.

The global PLEX market is now active, creating a single unified market region where all PLEX trades are visible and accessible, regardless of location (Abyssal Space excluded). All PLEX trades are now pooled into one unified market, with purchases still delivered to your Vault. No hauling or travel needed, just pure liquidity. 

With today’s release all outstanding PLEX orders were cancelled, and fees will be reimbursed within a few days.  

Please note, that global PLEX market prices will not be visible in private structures (e.g. citadels and keepstars) across New Eden, but trading from private structures with ACL restrictions will remain the same; you will not be able to buy items from, or sell items to, orders in stations that you cannot access. Listing taxes are still based on standings and location, no changes here.

So today, we want to share the next chapter in our economic vision for New Eden, one centered around friction-free trade, fairer access to utility goods, and the future of PLEX as a liquid currency that powers gameplay and EVE Online’s free-to-play business model. 

TLDR:   A major update to PLEX trading is coming soon with the introduction of a Global PLEX Market, a new global market region integrated into the existing market, allowing capsuleers to buy and sell PLEX from anywhere in New Eden. This friction-free system aims to boost liquidity, enable a fair market equilibrium, and support EVE's evolving economy. As part of the release to Tranquility, all existing orders will be cancelled and fees reimbursed. The exact date will be announced ahead of release. 

Framing the Vision: A Healthier Economy for New Eden 

The long-term goal is to ensure the EVE economy works for everyone: veterans, newcomers, and everyone in between. This means reducing artificial barriers, minimizing rent-seeking behavior, and improving access to goods that support your progression, convenience, and identity in the game.  

As stewards of New Eden's economy, CCP acts as both custodian and regulator, a central bank of sorts. And just like central banks in the real world, we care about economic health, access, and stability, tirelessly working on reducing economic friction and uncertainty. 

PLEX plays a foundational role in this system. But over time, as discussed in a previous blog, its function has drifted. It’s increasingly treated as a long-term investment or speculative asset, rather than a flexible, fluid currency meant to empower player choice. That dynamic distorts pricing, limits access, and creates artificial scarcity that benefits a few at the expense of many. 

We’re committed to fixing that, without resorting to harsh measures like inventory taxes, price hikes, or product removals. Instead, we're focused on system-level changes that move us closer to a healthy, fair market equilibrium. 

A Philosophy Rooted in Progression, Convenience, and Identity 

Every change made is grounded in EVE's core monetization pillars: 

  • Progression – enabling you to move forward at your own pace 

  • Convenience – making essential systems intuitive and accessible 

  • Identity – giving you meaningful ways to express who you are 

This philosophy has guided past changes such as: 

  • Introducing soulbound MCT to reduce hoarding and speculation 

  • Making Skill Books globally accessible to support new players and those specializing in their chosen careers 

  • Taking early steps toward regulated LP trading 

  • Unlocking a path for Artisan SKINdustrialists, enabling careers in personalization via SKINs, logos, and design assets 

  • Making select Expert Systems tradable on the Regional Market 

Each of these steps has helped remove friction and outdated bottlenecks that no longer serve the modern EVE experience. 

Friction-Free Trade and the Value Chain 

At the heart of EVE is its player-driven economy, a web of interconnected value chains. Every feature should strive to be a part of it while being exposed to ever-present risk, from exploration and harvesting of raw materials, to industrial research and production, to hauling and trade, to solo PvP and massive fleet fights. Every step adds value, creates emergent gameplay, and generates derived opportunities across and within that ecosystem, rare loot for explorers, margins for industrialists and in the end satisfaction to the end user. Trading then drives the value exchange of labor across multiple currencies. 

But not all goods in EVE follow the same lifecycle, there are a lot of moving parts in this value exchange. Over time, we’ve developed internal classifications for the various types of economic objects in New Eden. Let’s break it down a bit: 

  • Player-Made Goods  Ships, modules, rigs, boosters - anything manufactured and value-added by you from the ground up. These items reflect skill, risk, and market interaction, with the desired and expected utility, fairly estimated item value, and transparent price. 

  • Utility Goods  Items like PLEX, Skill Books, MCT, Skill Extractors, and Expert Systems, introduced by CCP and tradable, when not soulbound. They carry little to no player-added value, yet often generate profit through arbitrage and speculative investment. This is not part of the value chain - it extracts margin without contributing. These goods should be as accessible as their utility demands, which means eliminating unnecessary trading friction. Skip to the next chapter if we’ve got your attention here 😉 

  • Digital Goods  These represent identity and expression: apparel, logos, CCP-made SKINs and design elements. Many digital goods suffer from limited discoverability because they are treated like physical items. And here there is an important distinction between physical goods, the manufactured items that need to be hauled, fitted, and may be lost, versus personalization assets that confer no combat advantage by being available on-demand in the universe. If you want to swap a logo, put on leather boots and a pair of sunglasses, or find a legacy SKIN you’ve always dreamt of on the market without spending an hour acquiring it, you should be able to.  

  • Singletons  A term for player-made items that have a unique identity. These include artisan SKINs, abyssal rolled (mutaplasmid-mutated) items, packaged ship fittings, and more. Artisan SKINs are traded in Paragon Hub, while others are currently traded through contracts, and their complexity limits trade volume. By elevating these items and making them easier to discover and use, we can drive those specific value chains, such as blueprint research and invention, abyssal, and more. Paragon Hub plays a huge role in this, with its vision of becoming an intuitive, easy-access platform for trade, for things that are, in many ways, an overhaul of Contracts from a user interaction and experience point of view. It’s intended not only for trade goods, but also for ideas, concepts, and support materials that are often hard to find. These can also be player-made guides and useful objects such as Ship Fittings and Skill Plans, where the Hub can act as a modern browsable and searchable e-commerce platform, with voting, favorites, recommendations, and eventually even third-party integration. While we’re not replacing Contracts anytime soon, our long-term vision is to connect systems like Contracts and the Market with Paragon Hub, giving you better tools to find and share what you need. 

  • Currencies and quasi-currencies  ISK, LP, PLEX, and Skill Points are not only used for trade but are also traded themselves. The long-term goal is to support regulated currency exchange with depth and liquidity, eliminating the need to manually wrangle multiple orders or exploit Contracts to avoid fees. 

Each category comes with its own challenges. We prioritize reforms based on their friction, economic impact, and player feedback. Which category causes the most friction for you? Let us know on Discord, the forums, in space, or through your elected CSM representative. 

Friction-Free Trade for PLEX 

PLEX is unique in gaming history. From its inception to its role as New Eden’s foundational currency, it represents one of the boldest experiments in player-driven economy design, and CCP’s commitment to supporting it. PLEX is also a cornerstone of EVE’s free-to-play model and the most frequently traded utility item. However, its market is not as effective as we would like, due to several factors: 

  • It’s a safety investment, much like gold, having both intrinsic and extrinsic value, being the only item in the game directly tied to real-world currencies. 

  • It lives in the Vault and is usable from anywhere, but could only be bought regionally. 

  • It behaves like a currency in design, but like a speculative asset in practice. It does not bear any cost of capital, CCP has no interest rates on debt, wealth taxes, nor inventory costs, and there is no competition for investment like the stock market or bond markets. 

  • Its market is shallow, clustered in trade hubs like The Forge, Domain, Metropolis, Sinq Laison, and Heimatar. 

  • It’s simply the easiest and best way to store capital, in both the short and the long run. 

We’ve started increasing PLEX supply through Daily Goals, events, and other means, but one structural issue remained: capsuleers couldn’t easily buy or fairly sell PLEX outside major hubs. 

The Solution: Introducing the Global PLEX Market 

Later this summer, we will be launching a region-agnostic market for PLEX. That means: 

  • All PLEX buy and sell orders are pooled into a global region, a single virtual location accessible from everywhere; no travelling required. 

  • Bought PLEX is still delivered to your Vault, no hauling needed, as before. 

  • Location and standings based listing tax and fees won’t change for now

  • Trading from private structures will remain the same for now (you can only trade/sell/buy within that structure)

This will make it much easier to acquire PLEX from anywhere, whether it's to buy Omega, manufacture SKINs or buy anything from the New Eden Store, while making it much likelier that there is a competitive market for those who want to sell their PLEX, especially in smaller amounts. We expect this change to: 

  • Boost PLEX liquidity 

  • Enable conditions that move us closer to a healthy, fair market equilibrium

  • Encourage broader PLEX adoption across the game 

  • Reduce price disparities and improve availability 

We recognize that this change will reduce some regional arbitrage and speculation opportunities, but we believe the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks, so we will closely monitor the outcomes and be prepared to adjust as needed.

This update to Legion delivers a swath of improvements, largely based on capsuleer input, designed to power your purpose. Whether you’re engaging in Factional Warfare, raiding skyhooks, or simply navigating the Neocom with newfound ease, every enhancement serves to deepen your control over your unique journey in New Eden.

Your Feedback, Made Real

One of the goals with iterative expansion releases is to be responsive to the pulse of the cluster, which is reflected in the latest series of quality-of-life improvements, many directly informed by capsuleer insights shared at the Little Things panel during Fanfest 2025 and in the official forums. 

These suggestions, collected from passionate discussions and direct feedback, have now become real enhancements. Among these are the ability to delete multiple contracts simultaneously upon expiry, easily importing price information from the clipboard to the sell window, and more clarity in the UI about the performance of Triglavian weapons. 

Capsuleers are encouraged to continue contributing via the Little Things  forum thread. Your input helps shape the future of New Eden. We have begun the process of reclaiming our sofa by implementing the index card tips, and it’s up to you to fill it up again! Details on these changes can be found in the patch notes.  

Multiple adjustments and additions have also been made based on input from the CSM and wider EVE community. Skyhooks that will enter a vulnerable state within the next two hours will now be highlighted on the new, optimized map, offering enhanced clarity for raiding and making it easier to plan and strike with precision. The raiding window has been extended, giving room for tactical aggression and coordinated assaults. 

PvP enthusiasts will discover more conflict opportunities around Metenox sites, with changes that close loopholes previously used to avoid engagements. Owners can no longer unanchor their structures to escape a fight, making each deployment a true commitment. 

Nullsec aggression gets more strategic as capsuleers gain the ability to hack sovereignty hubs with Data and Relic Analyzer modules to gather intel. This enables skilled scouts to access important information about the sovereignty hub, including which upgrades are installed and which are online, allowing for more informed decisions when identifying opportune targets. 

When it comes to Pirate Insurgencies, capsuleers who wish to align with the Guristas or Angel Cartel can now sign on from Zarzakh, which lowers the barrier of entry, especially for newcomers looking to embrace a darker path. 

Miners will rejoice as pyerite yields have been increased from scordite, answering a long-standing call to bolster resource availability. This aims to empower highsec miners to act on the pyerite shortage. Meanwhile, Pochven has seen various improvements, including a reworking of smaller-scale sites to adjust balance and add more rewards, with opportunities tailored for agile cruiser teams to make their mark. 

And in the spirit of fairness in warfare, wardec loopholes have been sealed, leveling the playing field between aggressive corporations and those rising up against them. 

The Compare tool is being revamped with a new layout that allows you to find items within the window, rather than needing to be found elsewhere, making it easier than ever to find the right tools for your space adventures. Comparing will require less effort, and the differences between the attributes being compared will be clearer than before. In addition, the new layout offers options for search, grouping, filtering, and more.

A new era is coming to New Eden with the Legion expansion, as announced in the EVE Keynote at Fanfest 2025. Releasing on 27 May, it will introduce a host of new and exciting innovations, adjustments, and additions. These include Freelance Jobs, new ships, new sovereignty upgrades, and much more. Designate. Delegate. Dominate. 
Legion builds on the foundation laid with Corporation Projects, adding Freelance Jobs to further empower corporation leaders, and creating a free market for jobs – introducing a gig economy to New Eden. This is a great way to outsource and a fantastic opportunity to attract new members to your corp. 


Freelance Jobs are a real boon to new pilots, offering a player-driven source of ISK and experience, as well as guidance and purpose during their first steps. Through Freelance Jobs, corporations can initiate connections with promising recruits, removing a potential barrier to entry, as new pilots may find the prospect of applying to a corp intimidating. Where they might lack the confidence to approach a new corporation, Freelance Jobs allow them to take on fun activities and potentially get recruited, feeling valued and empowered to become a contributing member.

Each capsuleer can take on up to three Freelance Jobs at a time, and a corporation can have up to 100 jobs active. To begin with, corporations can offer the following project types to freelancers:
  • Destroy non-capsuleers 
  • Damage capsuleers, 
  • Mine materials 
  • Capture Factional Warfare complex 
  • Defend Factional Warfare complex 
  • Ship insurance 
In the coming months more contribution methods will be added, including an improved version of Deliver Item. 

See and Be Seen
Freelance Jobs are designed to be accessible and rewarding for both the corporation and the freelancer. Once a job is published, it will appear in the corporation's show info window, providing instant visibility. Freelancers browsing the Opportunities window will see all available jobs broadcast from within five jumps, making discovery fast and frictionless. 


Corporations have a range of options when setting up a job. They can open it to all capsuleers or apply restrictions, such as minimum/maximum character age. Each job can be broadcast from up to 20 solar systems with a rented office, letting corps target specific areas like rookie starting systems. More targeting options are on the way, including filters based on NPC corp affiliation, AIR Career Program score, and eventually full Access Control Lists (ACL) that pave the way toward Alliance Projects.


New ESI endpoints for Corporation Projects will be added shortly after the expansion launches, with support for Freelance Jobs following soon after.

Prepare for Deployment
Two formidable new warships enter the fray with Legion: the Sarathiel and the Babaroga.  



The Sarathiel, an Angel Cartel dreadnought, is a brutal addition to capital ship rosters. It features large bonuses to projectile weapon damage and falloff, allowing it to strike hard from across the battlefield. The Angel Cartel is known for designing ships with high mobility, and the Sarathiel is no exception. In addition to the usual warp speed bonus, it has a unique twist. While in siege mode, it has the ability to move and even use a capital micro jump drive (CJMD).  

The Sarathiel offers a lot of versatility, with five high power slots, seven mid power slots, and six low power slots. Armor and shield hit points are distributed equally, and the powergrid is higher than usual, allowing for great fitting flexibility. Blueprint Copies of the Sarathiel can be obtained from the Malakim Zealots LP store, which can be found in Zarzakh or in the Angel Pirate Insurgency FOB.  


The Babaroga is the Triglavian answer to the empire marauders: ruthless, elegant, and terrifying. With boosted tracking, increased optimal range, and max spool bonuses, it delivers incredible disintegrator damage at a distance. Thanks to the ability to fit a bastion module for powerful offensive and defensive bonuses, the Babaroga is far more resilient than the Leshak, while also claiming the crown for peak potential subcapital ship DPS. 


Sharing the Leshak’s 5-4-8 slot layout, the Babaroga has the space to fit top-tier armor defenses, and enjoys all the utility high slot bonuses you’ve come to expect from the marauder class as well as the Triglavian faction. Blueprint Copies of the Babaroga can be obtained by performing Invention Jobs on Leshak blueprint copies.These ships are bound to be popular, so opportunistic industrialists may want to adjust their facilities to meet the demand and make a tidy profit! 


Legion isn’t just introducing new ships but aiming to redefine what pilots can expect from them. 

Control the Battlefield
Meanwhile in nullsec, sovereignty continues to evolve. Legion introduces more flexibility and customization with three new categories of upgrades. New resource conversion upgrades give you more control over your resources, with the ability to generate workforce from power and vice versa. New system-wide modifiers let you lean into the strengths of your doctrine, offering bonuses to scanning, targeting, and specific combat styles:  

  • Gamma Stability Generator: increasing shield HP and capacitor capacity 
  • Plasma Stability Generator: increasing armor HP and benefits to overloading modules 
  • Electric Stability Generator: increasing capacitor recharge rate, targeting and D-Scan range. 
  • Exotic Stability Generator: increasing scan resolution and AU/s warp speed. 

Exploration upgrades return, revamped and more rewarding than ever. These upgraded sites not only boast improved spawn mechanics and distribution, but also feature guaranteed spawns upon installation and escalating path chances across each tier. With new implants and module rewards to uncover, they’ll turn strategic systems into true treasure troves. 


Taking over space becomes less of a grind and more of a strategic play. A single click lets you assume control of all skyhooks in a system you have conquered, allowing you to install upgrades and begin operations immediately, without interrupting raiding windows or needing to destroy and rebuild infrastructure.

Later this summer, ESI endpoints will reflect these updates to sovereignty dynamics, supporting third-party development and data visibility for sovereignty-focused capsuleers.

The key to corporate success and domination is a strong brand with a powerful identity. Legion, introduces the corporation palette which lets brand managers define up to three official colors using the full RGB/HEX range. Recruitment will also get an overhaul later this summer. New custom invite messages, local time display in corp ads, and broader language options will make it easier than ever for corps and pilots to match their playstyle, language, and schedule. 

Refit and Rebalance
Legion makes improvements across New Eden’s fleets. From strategic cruisers and logistics vessels to capital ships and beyond, this is a recalibration aimed at fostering more diverse engagements and deeper tactical play.

Remote repair gameplay is being retooled to reward risk and skill. Overheating remote repairers will now yield greater results, letting support pilots push their tools harder when the moment demands it. Logistics cruisers are receiving targeted buffs, while strategic cruisers’ support subsystems get additional powergrid to accommodate more defensive modules or higher strength remote repairers.

Cruiser hulls also benefit from this balance pass. The Thorax gains speed and powergrid, making it more competitive in fast skirmishes. The Rupture receives refined artillery bonuses, bringing new life to a long-standing favorite. Across the board, cruisers and Tech III hulls are being given enhanced remote armor repair capabilities, with the latter also receiving overheat bonuses, bringing new options for agile mid-scale engagements.

The capital meta is also evolving. Fighter salvos from bombers and heavy bombers are being extended by 50%, increasing their field time before reloading. Meanwhile, Space Superiority Fighters are seeing a decrease in damage to subcapitals – reinforcing their role as anti-fighter specialists, rather than general-purpose damage dealers. These adjustments aim to consolidate their identity and carve out more space for subcapital fleets.

Survivability is also going up. The rollback of the penalty to shield and armor extenders from the Surgical Strike update has been completed, now scaling up to 400% for supercarriers and 500% for titans. This is part of a broader effort to elevate supercapitals back into a more viable role, keeping pace with the rising power of faction and lancer dreadnoughts.


Directed doomsday weapons get a 20% damage bump, and the new Advanced Doomsday Operations skill book increases damage by a further 7.5% per level. This applies across the board, including bosonic weapons – but not to lancer dreads. And to round it off, several pirate faction dreadnoughts are receiving buffs to help them stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Sarathiel and hold their own against modern navy and lancer dreads.

Surgical Strike’s legacy is being revisited too. Resistance changes from that patch are being dialed back by 10%, making ships harder to erase with a single volley and giving logistics pilots a bigger window to intervene. Fights will feel more tactical and less binary, especially in mid-scale engagements where coordination and adaptability shine.

Chart the Future
The map is getting a major overhaul. A long-term project has begun to bring the new map up to parity with the classic experience and third-party tools. This first iteration will make it easier to apply and switch between filters, share filter sets in chat, and adds a view mode toggle as well as new quick action buttons to identify both your location and home station at a glance.


Visual upgrades also extend to the ships themselves. Five Tech I cruisers and many of their variants – 13 ships in total – have been redesigned and polished. With some of them also seeing improved geometry, texture fidelity, bespoke animation states, refined weapon platforms, and updated VFX. The accompanying balance pass ensures they don’t just look new – they fly new!

Streamlined and Sharp
A series of quality-of-life improvements are also coming with Legion. Neocom customization is on the way, allowing capsuleers to recolor their interface icons to suit their style. You’ll be able to view contact labels in character info windows and see how many blueprints you own across all of New Eden (or filter by specific location) from within the industry window. 

Shortly after the launch of Legion, damaged crystals will reveal their status at a glance with hover-over tooltips in the inventory. And those flying as Omega have even more to look forward to. The AIR Career Program will award twice the Skill Points for Omega pilots, giving a meaningful edge in progression. A visual rework of the Omega brand further clarifies what’s on offer – and why it’s worth the upgrade.
