Clean the city that is full of datatokens, deactivate the boxes to clean the city faster and close the energy feeding the alien enemies, the more you clean the city the more score you get :)

this build changes some stuff up in the game and could cause bugs in some areas, so please do check around the changed areas below if possible.

heres what is changed (off the top of my head):

- rehexing, tl;dr, the ability to abandon a run in post-game for the cost of 50 tokens
- new outline around characters you havent talked to before (will show up around everyone at first, dont report that as a bug to me because thats not a bug)
- Skip button for Cutscenes (this is already tested but if you wanna play around with it feel free?)
- New wheel spin animation for QTE in rebirths 2-4, also has abit of new dialouge to go with it too! (if anyone can, let me know if i forgot to implement it properly into certain scenes!)
- Slight optimization for Jellies
- Improved Steam Deck Support for scenes where multiple windows would typically appear (they should no longer appear, but if anyone can confirm they work normally thatd be great)
- Hover Icons for the menu buttons in-game, not rly smth that needs to be bug tested but let me know
- Slight rebalancing for the miners, not by much but its something! also replaces the mel miner with the charlie miner, (which is actually a rly good early game miner tbh, completely on accident.)
- New Melvin art, doesnt need to be bug tested but. its there

Finares - Frozenhorror

Hey dear people,

sorry that I haven’t posted anything about my game so far. In the future, I’ll write something from time to time and possibly share artwork or spoiler-free excerpts from individual chapters.

A lot has happened over the past year: I recorded SFX, added music, wrote almost 100 pages of dialogue, designed new chapters, and optimized the game.

If I don’t manage to release the game this year, I at least want to upload a playable demo of Chapter 1. I’d really appreciate your feedback.

Being Food - Hot_____Dog_

There is a concept I'm trying to bring to the forefront of this game and that concept is: "Making the Wrong Way, the Right Way".

The best example I have of this concept is the way Dark Souls tells its stories. I read somewhere in the depths of the internet that the storytelling in Dark Souls evolved from the way Hidetaka Miyazaki read English stories as a child. Since he didn't know English very well, there were gaps in the stories he read, and he would make up his own definitions of words and fill in the story in his head.

That, by all means, is not how you read a story. By all accounts, he was reading the stories wrong. The thing is, as a child, he didn't know any better, and through that concept, he spawned an entire genre of storytelling.

If you search on YouTube for FromSoftware lore videos, it has become wildly successful. Some videos crossing over 10 million views and allowing people to build careers around the discussion.

He made the wrong way, the right way.

I think this can apply to so many ways that we play games. A great example of this is the game Screen Cheat, by Samurai Punk. I think this one is pretty self-explanatory. Growing up with split-screen multiplayer gaming, I think it's safe to say we all occasionally snuck a peek at our friend's screen from time to time to find out where they were. In the game Screen Cheat, it brings that mechanic and says, no it's not wrong - it's right. The whole game is based around this, and the player is invisible and NEEDS to look at their opponent's screens to find out where they are.

The main concepts behind my game come from how I used to play Grand Theft Auto 3 and San Andreas as a kid (thanks mom). I don't want to elaborate too much as to not spoil things, but I wasn't in it for the story - I was in it for the chaos. I would chaotically press every button on my controller and cheat my way into elaborate car chases. I had the cheats for jetpacks, health, helicopters, and weapons memorized, and my friend and I would pass back and forth the controller to see what would happen.

I think there's a lot of inspiration to take from the way we did things wrong as a child or as adults for that matter - because it's not wrong if you're enjoying it.
