Ray tracing is the hot new graphics tech of 2021, and Nvidia have just announced another fresh crop of ray tracing and DLSS games that are coming to PC later this year. To help you keep track of them all, I’ve created this list of all the confirmed ray tracing games you can play on PC right now, as well which ones will be getting ray tracing support in the future. And because ray tracing tends to go hand in hand with Nvidia’s performance-boosting DLSS tech these days, I’ve also listed all the current and upcoming games that support DLSS as well.

Bright Memory - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Natalie Clayton)

Breaking onto Steam last year, Bright Memory looked impressive enough. A slick, sci-fi FPS that bridged a gap between Shadow Warrior and Devil May Cry with some serious technical chops. Coupled with the fact that the game was seemingly the work of a sole developer, one-man studio FYQD, and you’ve got an impressive piece of work on your hands. After an overwhelming start on early access, FYQD is ready to call this version finished, moving towards a more fully-featured vision in Bright Memory: Infinite.

Bright Memory, a blend of FPS and Devil May Cry-style combo-heavy combat by solo developer FYQD, is to restart development almost after selling better than expected in early access. Those who bought the original ‘Episode 1’ version of the game will be upgraded to the new Bright Memory: Infinite when it’s released, although it’s anyone’s guess how long that’ll take. The new version of the game is aiming to be a short-but-sweet three hours long, but with a rewritten story, and a major rework planned for the levels in the initial release. See the sadly action-light reboot trailer below.

Bulletstorm-ish combo-chaining FPS Bright Memory – Episode 1 launched into early access on Steam over the weekend, and praise for the short, budget-priced game spread quickly. While it’s still unfinished and a bit patchy, it’s easy to see why people are impressed. Some rough edges aside, Bright Memory has the look and feel of a high-budget shooter, but is the part-time work of solo developer “FYQD”, voices and music aside. It’s also bloody good fun, feeling like a first-person Devil May Cry as you juggle monsters in the air with gun and sword. See the launch trailer below.
