The Giveaway is open to every Steam user over the age of 13 years, in any country where Steam offers games.

The Giveaway will be available during the 2018 Steam Winter Sale. Standard entry is accomplished by clicking on a door on the Steam’s Extremely Cozy Cottage artwork while logged into a Steam Account that is not limited. Until the last day of the Steam Winter Sale 2018, January 3 10AM Pacific time, each eligible Steam user may visit Steam’s Extremely Cozy Cottage page each day to click on the door to receive a prize, while still being able to click on previously-unclicked doors from previous days to receive prizes from those days .

To manually enter the Giveaway, each eligible entrant must print his or her name, address, city, state, country, postal code, email address, Steam account name (account can be limited or unlimited), and telephone number, on a self-addressed 4”x6” note card and mail the completed form to: Valve Corporation, P.O. Box 1688, Bellevue, WA 98009-1688. Only note cards mailed in envelopes and postmarked during the 2018 Steam Winter Sale or by January 11, 2019 will be accepted. No e-mailed or faxed entries are eligible. Facsimiles, photocopies or mechanical reproductions of entries will be void. Only one manual entry per person. Each manual entrant will receive prizes equivalent to clicking on all 14 doors in Steam’s Extremely Cozy Cottage Giveaway. Proof of sending or submitting a note card is not proof of receipt of such alternate entry. Entries must be received no later than January 11, 2019.

Prizes for each day of the sale will be at random from all items created for the Steam’s Extremely Cozy Cottage event. These items include knick-knack items created by Valve, community items (e.g. Steam Profile Backgrounds and Emoticons) and in-game items for participating Steam games. Knick-knacks are items specifically for the Steam’s Extremely Cozy Cottage event. Consuming them will remove the item from the account’s inventory and increase the Winter 2018 Knick-Knack Collector badge level. Knick-knacks will expire on February 2nd, 2019 10AM Pacific time. Different items will be available on each day of the sale. The selection of prizes will be performed by a random computer process.

Prizes for manual entry via post will be provided to entrants separately within ten business days from the end of the Giveaway Period.

The prizes are not substitutable, and there are no cash alternatives to the prizes listed.

Decisions of Valve regarding the Giveaway are final and binding. Prizes will be added to the Steam Accounts inventory immediately after the eligible Steam user has clicked on the door to receive drops.

Valve will collect and process the personally identifiable information of the participants that participates in the Steam’s Extremely Cozy Cottage. This will include which door the participant clicks on. Any data recorded will be used for the conduct of the Steam’s Extremely Cozy Cottage Giveaway.
