Our friends at Pollard Studio are fellow members of the Wired Publishing Family, and today they announced that their first game, KARMA: The Dark World will officially launch on March 27th 2025, exclusively on PlayStation 5 and PC.
They've celebrated this with an ROCKIN release date announcement trailer focusing on the stunning visuals, surreal environments and emotionally-charged story inspired by cinema’s finest auteurs with shocking twists at every turn, asking the question "When every shadow hides a secret, who can you trust?"
Watch the Into the Mist trailer:
Karma: the Dark world is a first-person cinematic psychological horror title where players will be investigating the deepest secrets of their suspects’ minds.
Set in an alternate timeline where post-war Germany has fallen into a dystopian state, ruled over by the Leviathan Corporation using mass surveillance and mind bending technology - what starts out as another case for Roam Agent Daniel McGovern, sees him uncover a world of deceit and betrayal, where he begins to doubt everything he knows, including his own identity.
Inspired by the works of visionary creators such as David Lynch (Twin Peaks), Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid, Death Stranding), and Christopher Nolan (Inception, Interstellar), and developed in Unreal Engine 5, they'll have a demo coming out before launch that will let you try out your skills as a ROAM agent yourself - but for now, just like every wishlist and share of exciting news with friends helped us on our journey - spreading the word of an exciting new indie game with us is just another way to help indie developers share their works with the world!
KARMA will be available at launch for $24.99 / €24.99 / £19.99, with a 10% launch discount on PC, PlayStation and an additional 15% off on Steam for players who own any previous Wired Productions title.
With the latest update, you might have noticed that the scoreboard is gone… and in its place, we now have the Esplanade! But who are these citizens, and what’s their role?
A New, More Strategic Goal
The Esplanade is made up of four groups of citizens who will evaluate your city’s development. Their job? Guide you toward the ultimate goal! Here’s what they focus on:
The Syndicate - Resource Production Are you producing enough gold, steel…? Food doesn’t count here, but great news for traders: bought resources do!
The Alliance - Population Satisfaction Health, safety, creativity… Every need matters! If your citizens are happy, you’ll earn valuable bonuses. Keep an eye on those stats!
The League - Faction Power Power and trust go hand in hand. A faction that supports you will grant you useful bonuses!
The Coalition - Building Construction Unlock new buildings through faction support and construct Wonders to progress. Even repaired buildings count!
How Does the Evaluation Work?
Each age has three mid-term evaluations and a final one. Here’s an example: Right now, I’m in Antiquity, and I see that my resource production was too low during the Syndicate’s last evaluation. I didn’t reach the 8,000 points required.
I’ll need to boost my resource production! But on the other hand, I’m ahead in Building Construction (that bar is already full!). I’ve got 18 points when only 8 will be needed—objectives exceeded!
Your Strategy, Your Choice
You’re free to play however you like:
Try to complete all objectives at once,
Focus on just one or two key areas
Get ahead in one category, then balance things out later
Small tip: If you move to the next age before the final evaluation, the citizens will still assess your city!
Long-Term Rewards
Even if it’s not super clear yet, completing these objectives will earn you valuable rewards (coins!). They’ll be essential later on… and trust us, the Age of Enlightenment has some surprises in store!
The Esplanade is still in development, but remember: ignoring the citizens’ expectations will have consequences for your city and your final score!
Today, we’d like to tell you more about the upcoming Shadow Protocol Battle Path campaign as a whole along with the changes and improvements we’ve prepared for you.

You can now secure the access to the Battle Path early (and with preorder-exclusive items) in the Web Shop “Battle Path” section. The following bundles are available:
Shadow Protocol access with the Mists of Winter camouflage, the Winter Mercenary player avatar and the Cold-Hearted player title
Shadow Protocol access with 50.000 Battle Coins, the Mists of Winter camouflage, the Winter Mercenary player avatar and the Cold-Hearted player title
Shadow Protocol access with 10 Battle Coin boosters, the Mists of Winter camouflage, the Winter Mercenary player avatar and the Cold-Hearted player title
For more details about the Shadow Protocol Battle Path, please read below.
The bundles are available in our Web Shop:
Shadow Protocol
With this Battle Path, we are returning to the format of previous Battle Path. The Shadow Protocol Battle Path doesn’t offer a story to follow. Instead, it has two themes – mercenaries, and the past, the present and the future of warfare. Its topic can therefore be divided into three parts:
Mercenary history (covering the conflicts that involved mercenaries, starting from the Golden Age that were the sixties, to the 2000s)
Contemporary mercenary history (from the Caucasus to the Middle East)
Future warfare (where the focus shifts towards the Pacific theater of operations)
The assets will be theme-appropriate with some of the most badass camouflages, decals and titles to date.
Prizes
Speaking of rewards, there will be 50 levels packed full of prizes. As usual, we’ve prepared three brand-new vehicles for you:
As usual, you will also be able to claim a large number of camouflages, skins, decals, base paints, and much more. But that’s not everything – not by a longshot.
What else is new?
Good news, commanders. We’ve kept the low prices you’ve been enjoying in the Seahawks Battle Path, which means that each level will only cost 4.500 Battle Coins. What we have changed, however, are the prizes. Practically every second level now offers a Battle Coin booster reward (amongst other things).
The missions have been overhauled once again. This time, each mission will be possible to complete in any Tier 4 to Tier 10 vehicle. Since missions are not mandatory to receive your dose of Battle Path boosters, we’ve ramped the difficulty up – but also the prizes:
Finishing each of the four chains will award you with an exclusive skin that will not be available by any other means
Finishing each of the first three chains will also award you with 5 Mercenary Loot Crates
Finishing the top chain with the most difficult missions will award you with 15 whopping Mercenary Loot Crates
Mercenary Loot Crates are another new Loot Crates, exclusive to this Battle Path. They work much like the Iron Loot Crates. From EACH such crate, you can receive:
Premium vehicle (Tier 3 to Tier 10, including TOS-1M, Boxer RIWP, EMBT, Puma and many more)
Premium commander (including Ophelia Kitescu or Alexander Cortez)
No “last ditch” prizes such as Platinum Loot Crates or Boosters. Just vehicles, commanders, or, if you have the drop already, its full price in Gold as a compensation. And with 30 boxes on the line, that is one hell of a deal.
And, last but not least, we have added a couple of things to the Battle Path shop as usual – for the standardized prices, of course.
Conclusion
The rest of the Battle Path remains mostly the same. The Battle Path is currently planned to launch in early April but, as usual, the specific date will be announced a bit later.
We hope you’ll enjoy this Battle Path as much as we enjoyed designing it and, as always:

Helllooo!!! The world is going crazy but we are back! This update allows you to give names to your paintings!
And by the way, here's a little recap of our doings the past 6 years:
We released our debut title, the space-exploration roguelike Shortest Trip to Earth in 2019 (roguelite spaceship sim focused on exploration, ship management and tactical battles).
While working on Shortest Trip we also created the cute graphics for Circle Empires and Circle Empires Rivals (cute and accessible, fast tactical RTS titles).
We started working on Artist Life Simulator in 2020 and released it in 2022. thank you for playing it! Hopefully, we can bring you many more interesting updates :3
Our latest project, Monster Run: Downfall of the Empire is also a roguelike, and a pretty unique one, as you embody a giant house-sized firebreathing cat, fighting against massive medieval armies of tiny but evil humans). We are still working on Monser Run (ported version), but have also started working again on our old favourite games, including Artist Life Simulator!
Today’s update for Artist Life Simulator:
New feature: naming your paintings (when the painting is finished, in the message window)
Erotic paintings now only need 2 characters and 1 red feeling
Increased painting value of some red feelings
Shady Business Opportunity now needs 3 alcohol instead of 5
Changed numerous descriptions and texts into more accurate
Fixed a bug with the “Distant Aquaintance” upgrade for Charles
Smaller fixes
Upcoming plans:
New music
New content/feature updates
Difficulty will be further reduced
In other news, our little studio is struggling to survive amidst the indieapocalypse in the big world. If you ever thought about supporting indies like us (gamedev studio in Estonia), now is the perfect time! For example by wishlisting, recommending or buying any of our games and DLCs. Artist Life Sim is currently -66% off until 24 February.
