Where did the year go, we blinked and it was suddenly 2025! Well, Happy New Year! We hope you all had a great holiday.

We come bearing good news to start this new year off right…

Sun Haven’s first Nintendo Switch patch is available now!

This patch includes some updates and bug fixes for:
  • Crashing
  • Added a save button in the settings menu
  • Significantly reduced load times between maps
  • Sprites appearing larger than intended
  • Sprites appearing in the wrong locations
  • Reduced the time it takes to save
  • Minorly updated translations
The next time you open Sun Haven on Nintendo Switch, you should be prompted to update Sun Haven. You can also check for an update on the Nintendo Switch by highlighting the Sun Haven game tile on the Nintendo Switch Menu and pressing the + button on your JoyCon. Then, select Software Update to see if an update is available.

If you run into any issues, please let us know in the #report-bugs channel in our Discord server and follow the pinned report template so we can investigate the problems as quickly as possible!

Hope you're having a fantastic 2025 so far!
First of all, thank you very much for sharing so many amazing ideas for new game modes in our previous dev logs. We've collected all of them and will definitely discuss them further!


In this episode, our valiant designers would like to present to you the design approach behind Akai Hime.


Early designs of Akai Hime

Akai Hime v1


In this early concept design, we focused on the "Ninja" theme.

Based on the characteristics of the assassin class, this version of Akai Hime wears an outfit that merges Japanese-style armor with combat suit elements. Our initial goal was to create a cold, swift, and foxy ninja girl.

Akai Hime v2


The second early concept design for Akai Hime is rather "colorful," with more of her fursonality and cultural identity taken into account.

With Akai Hime red and purple as the main colors, this outfit combines elements of a kimono and a school uniform, featuring intriguing accessories such as fishnet stockings and rivets. The outfit gives Akai Hime a sense of danger, wrapped in a layer of exotic allure.

Akai Hime v3


Ah, this is the design we're all familiar with. The core idea of this concept design is to present Akai Hime's delicate and youthful charm. With the outdoor athlete-style outfit featuring a casual and energetic jacket, we want to enchant Akai Hime with adorableness, vitality and a bit of idol charisma.

Final Concept


We finally selected version 3 as Akai Hime's final concept design. Instead of using the red from Akai Hime's v1 and v2 designs, we opted for pink to further emphasize Akai Hime's adorableness and vitality. With the newly designed cute bow hair clip and heart & paw shaped accessories, we managed to make Akai Hime appear even younger and more lively.

Lore wise, Akai Hime's unfortunate childhood caused her to become skilled in manipulating others' minds and hearts since she was very young. Her seemingly harmless beauty is a powerful tool for easily gaining others' trust. Beneath her youthful appearance lies a cunning nature, allowing her to leverage her intelligence and techniques to deliver a fatal strike when her rivals let their guard down.

gogh: Focus with Your Avatar - ambr
Hello everyone and Happy New Year! 🎉

We are ambr and we are here with gogh: Focus with Your Avatar, a new tool to help you focus on work or studying or any other tasks you need to get done! As you can see in our announcement trailer, you can make your own customizable avatar in your very own customizable space and work along with your virtual self to some great Lofi beats. 🎶

While there is a mobile version currently available, we plan to release the Steam version in the spring.

Here are some of the minor but important updates that we’ve been working on in the past year.

You won’t have just one room where you can work… but multiple! Maybe sometimes you want to work in a library but other times you’d prefer a cozier space. With this function, you can create and save multiple rooms and switch between them to match your mood! 🌼




As a focus tool, this game includes a pomodoro-style timer. The best part is that you can customize it to your needs! You can input the number of sessions you want to work during in one sitting and even include a “skip” button. 💃🏽




And for those of you who love ASMR, we’re also working on the sounds that will come up when you decorate your room. Hopefully you find them satisfying enough that you’ll want to keep playing around with decorations… but don’t forget to get your work done, too! 🔉

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where PS5 clients were crashing after receiving an acquisition
  • Fixed an issue where Aphrodite's Back Off was causing players to be unable to fire abilities and basic attacks
  • Fixed an issue where after matches an 'ERROR - An error has occurred while processing your order' message was being displayed
  • Fixed an issue where some players in lobby were showing as WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW....
  • Fixed an issue where Gamepad/Controller players were unable to reroll and select an Aspect in the Assault match lobby
  • Fixed an issue where Conquest Wisps would stop moving when rotating around the pillars

Naev - bobbens
This is a maintenance patch that fixes a lot of small issues here and there. It includes improvements on deployed escorts, fixing looting FLF ships causing nearby planets and other ships to become hostile, and puts Dvaered ships for sale among other things.

Mineral Defense - Filthy Casual
Hi everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying the game!

This update changes a few things, most notably replaces every music track in the game. All the tracks are now made specifically for Mineral Defense, and content creators can now make videos without fear of the previously licensed music causing Copyright ID issues!

The update also adds a keybind menu, some extra QOL features, and some balancing changes.

Endless mode is much harder now, and should provide a challenge for players until the new content additions are finalized.

Added:
- New music tracks
- A keybinding menu in the "Gameplay" section of the options menu.
- Camera navigation controls now on both keyboard and mouse. WASD to pan, QE to rotate, ZX to zoom. Hold right mouse button to pan, Hold middle mouse button to rotate, and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom. These are now remappable in the options!
- Keyboard navigation controls added to the research menu. WASD to pan, ZX to zoom. Also remappable in the options.
- Added a "Close" button to the floating menu for selected structures.
- Added an "Explore" button to the game over menu, allowing you to move the camera around and view your game.
- Added the held cards display to the game over menu, this was previously only in the pause menu.

Changed:
- Increased the price of Laser Tower upgrades
- Reduced the Laser Tower base damage, but increased its sustained damage multiplier to 200%.
- The Laser Tower will now have a longer duration before its sustained damage multiplier starts to go down.
- Increased the cost of additional Optimizer towers.
- Increased the cost of additional Slow towers.
- The Slow tower will no longer do any damage.
- Drastically increased the enemy health scaling after wave 50, in endless mode.
- Clamped the enemy movement speed scaling multiplier to +500%.

Fixes:
- Numbers in the minerals and energy UI widgets will no longer overflow out of their container.
- Structures height bonus or debuff will now save and load correctly.
- Fixed the formatting of negative values in the structure stat list.
