Hello everyone, in order to make the game run more smoothly, I switched the game framework from Nw.js to Webview2 in the latest version. But this also caused some players to be unable to save the game.
Generally speaking, this is because the version of Webview2 in the system is too low, causing the game to be unable to recognize your Steam game folder. You can solve the problem by downloading and updating Webview2 on the Microsoft official website.

This is a major update that touches every corner of Beef Cat Ultra, adding loads of new content and improving the content that was already there. The Remix Update will kick off a series of much smaller follow-up updates adding new upgrades and items over time to keep the RNG gods of Remix Island pleased. Let's kick off with the main event:
Added Remix Island
Added Dock and Ship to Stinky Coast
Added Blockerboy to Stinky Coast to lock Remix Island until Game Completion
Added 4 new stages with new mode "Remix"
--Randomized starting location, pickup locations, and enemy spawn locations
--Objective to Kill 5,000 enemies
--Difficulty Tier increases every 5 minutes, increasing enemy health and speed
Added 7 new level up options in Remix mode
--4 New Weapon Level Up Options
--2 New Survival Level Up Options
--1 New Bonus Level Up Options
Added 4 new pickups in Remix mode loot pools
New Shop: Great Reset - Resets all stat purchases at shops to ZERO and does not refund their costs
New Shop: Remix Difficulty - Increases the base Difficulty Tier of Remix Mode by 1
New Weapon: Uppercut - a vertical attack that deals high damage, upgrades increase range
New Weapon: Gross Grass - builds in the environment, has a %chance to spawn a tick, upgrades increase tick spawn chance
New Weapon: Bomb Flower - builds in the environment, trigger to set off an explosion, upgrades reduce planting cooldown
New Passive: Parry Pants - a successful dodge drops a grenade at your feet, upgrades drop more grenades
Above is very nearly everything new in Beef Cat Ultra as of today. No bug fixes or tweaks in that section, just new things to challenge yourself on. But that doesn't mean we didn't get around to some great tweaks and fixes.
Game-Wide Changes
Optimized Enemy, Object, and Pickup Parent codes - reducing code by 1000+ lines, should improve engine load in late-late endless stages
Bullet based weapons now factor in Damage Modification

Replaced the font in Shop menus
Added a description tip to every shop
Shop menus no longer display on top of settings menu
Shops can no longer be interacted with while settings menu is open
Re-located player spawn location in "High Seas"
Volleyball pickups now correctly draw a line to Choice Signs
Added subtle controller rumble to enemy kills
Difficulty Tier +1 now gives enemies a single extra HP in Endless stages (at the 10 minute mark)
Added Difficulty Tiers +6-8 to Endless Stages for particularly long games and broken builds
Added new Stat to Stats Screen: Explosion Mod, increase in value increases radius of explosions
New Passive Pickup: Cookbook - increases Explosion Mod by 5
Added Cookbook to World 3/4 Loot Pools and Encyclopedia
Reduced Corpse Bomb explosion radius from 20 -> 16
-Reduced Corpse Bomb frag count from 12 -> 10
-Corpse Bomb, Boom Sticks, and Grenades are all affected by Explosion Mod stat
Beyond some quality-of-life and optimization, an entire new stat was added to the game: Explosion Mod. Alongside this is a new Passive pickup that is available in the base game to increase your Explosion Mod. Shop menus are looking much cleaner and helpful, too. Beyond that was a re-configuring of Endless (and Remix) mode difficulty. Previously the difficulty curve was an amorphous thing with five tiers, it's now a much more defined 8 tier system, allowing the difficulty to get to punishing new heights. Controller players can enjoy the addition of a slight rumble as well, a small taste brought over from our burgeoning console ports.
Enjoy the Remix Update! This is not the end of Beef Cat Ultra, just another step, and we hope you follow along as the game continues to grow!
We'll be full-speeding away in supporting the main game to ensure you all have the best experience, so the demo will only be around until December 31st, 2024!
Workshop (UI) has been completely redesigned to be much more usable and convenient
Workshop now shows vehicle descriptions and more details vehicle information in separate windows
New private workshop allows you to save and load vehicles online, to be used only by your account, across multiple devices
Public workshop vehicles can now be bookmarked for convenience, allowing you to save them for later and subscribe to any changes the creator may make later
Public workshop can now be sorted by either most recent uploads or most bookmarked
Reworked load vehicles (UI)
Reworked preset vehicles, now also includes some community tech
Newly saved vehicle thumbnails will now always be pixel-perfect regardless of grid size (does not apply for existing vehicles from older game versions)
Faction roles: There can now be multiple leaders, and there is a new in-between rank of ‘officer’ who can not change faction settings or manage members, but can start sieges
Faction leader(s) can now choose designated vehicles for their members to use, which will show up in a new section of the faction info window
Per-vehicle error handling: A broken vehicle file (for whatever reason) will no longer prevent the others from showing
Added a drop shadow to Spacelings
Removed (annoying) Enter to dock keybind on PC
Pressing Enter will now open chat and highlight the message field on PC
Added support for super ultrawide monitors of 32:9 aspect ratio on PC
Chat bubbles appear closer to the nametag
Most ‘contacting matchmaking services…’ loading screens will now specifically tell you what they’re doing
Redesigned the tutorials panel, they will now always open in YouTube, and added in-game links to AtatataPR’s logic tutorials
Added the new parallax background to the main menu as well
Setting the faction search input field to empty will show all of them again instead of none
Workshop will now block exact duplicate uploads (although only with the same name)
Updated the save, load, workshop, and publish UI to the new dynamically generated UI system, previously only used by the new faction-related stuff
Added a bunch of new loading screen ‘tips’
Fixed new parallax background showing black edges for ultrawide monitors of 21:9 aspect ratio on PC
Fixed preset vehicles being slightly blurry and having distorted colors
Fixed exit camera block button text not fitting inside the button
