We’re back with more info on the features and game mechanics of Biped 2. You’ll be able to see them for yourself very soon, but for now, we'd like to tell you more about what we have in store for you.
The Brave Four
Just like with the first installment of the franchise, one of the main features of Biped 2 is its co-op mode. After all, it’s a lot easier and more fun to overcome challenges when you’re teamed up with a friend. But this time around, we’ve made some tweaks and changes to the mode to make it even more exciting.
So get your friends together and get ready for four-player mode! You can play online or share a single screen using four controllers — whatever you prefer. And if you'd rather use keyboard and mouse controls, we’ve got you covered too — Biped 2 will allow one player to use PC controls while the other three use gamepads.
If you’ve played the first Biped in two-player co-op mode, you’ll be familiar with most of the features on offer here. For example, all four players will see each other on the same screen in real-time, and they’ll have to stick together to beat each level.
But there’s new stuff too! We’ve carefully updated the game's levels and mechanics to make sure that four-player teams have a seamless experience. These updates include new visuals for some levels and slightly tweaked rules for certain gameplay mechanics. It's all designed to keep your adventure fun and easy to navigate.
Element(al)s of Surprise
In the first Biped, you might have encountered robots that looked a good bit like the two main characters. In Biped 2, your potential companions include elementals, beings that can either help you traverse the levels or get in your way. There are fire, water, earth, and air elementals, and you'll find lots of ways to interact with them. For example, one thing you can do is…
Get them all rolling!
Adventurers will come across special elemental “buckets” with a mark on them telling you how many elementals need to be put inside. Catch the element-based creatures and put them in the buckets to clear the way. And don’t worry, they aren't the type to hold a grudge — even if you throw them around or give them a good kick. Many of the game's mechanics actually require you to move elementals in a certain direction.
Combine and Conquer
Sometimes, adventurers might need something special. A gust of wind to carry them far, far away? A stone platform hovering over a gaping chasm? That’s where elementals come in handy. Look for special machines to help you combine elemental powers, then stock them with the elementals you’ve captured. Fire and water will create a strong gust of wind, water, and earth will make a sticky mud platform, and two earth elementals together will make a nice stone platform. It's like magic!
Containing the Elements
There are elemental enclosures scattered throughout the game. You’ll need to fill them to progress through a given level. The enclosures say exactly how many elementals of a certain type you need but be warned: Catching elementals can be a bit like herding cats since some of them will try to escape by moving in the opposite direction. Teamwork is key here!
That’s all we've got to share about Biped 2 for today. What do you think of the new and improved mechanics? We’d love to hear from you.

Based on the feedback I shift the focus of AI Pals to something less complicated and to a more traditional AI assistant application (in a new software categorized project). It will be the priority in 2025 with a release soon. The new project AI Pals Engine is similar to AI Pals, but with less focus on game elements, but still with a focus on the Workshop, customizable Widgets and more!
Please be sure to check out and consider to Wishlist and Follow the new project as the release is coming soon. The AI Pals release date will remain TBD until AI Pals Engine is fully released. Here's the link: AI Pals Engine
Let's continue with the roadmap as announced, until we get to V1.0! Before we get to the changelog, a few words about the next V0.8.0 balancing update, it will be the final balance update for a while, so if you want to see a push for your favorite weapon let me know so I can take a close look at it, also I want to stop introducing new systems for a while so as not to break the balance again.
Any new skills/weapons you would like to see in V0.8.0? (Note that they must fit the current weapon style and not break the Time Survival difficulty)
The plan is to release the base V0.8.0 update in Jan/Feb and before the release of my new main 2025 project: AI Pals Engine. If you use AI, you might want to check it out, and please consider adding it to your Wishlist. The goal is to build the best AI companion tool - and if you're not using AI, why not?! (srly let me know, I'm very interested to know why) The base update will include new skills and review Time Survival, after which it is planned to improve balancing over a few weeks with live testing. So how do we define when the game is balanced? Maybe we set this goal?: - The ability to get to the 15 minute boss in Time Survival with any weapon combo that makes sense. - The ability to get to the 10 minute boss in Obliteration with any weapon combo that makes sense.
The balancing will start with the V0.8.0 base update and will continue for a few weeks to allow enough time to playtest different skill combinations, feel free to join the discord to give input as it is impossible to playtest every skill/weapon combination, so any help in discovering weak combinations is welcome!
Let me know your thoughts!
