We just fixed the first batch of bugs. To make sure you get the latest update restart Steam (Or on Steam Deck leave the game and turn it off/on)
- Fixing crashes with the Scriptor Rescue in Frozen Depths. - Lord of Greed should now properly spawn the Archaeologist's Threads that enable you to recover uncommon items. - The Vault should spawn normal and progress quest in a normal pace now after 30 minutes. - Make it more clear that it's on purpose that the Wellkeeper disappears with all your money. - Wellkeeper can no longer be talked to when he should be gone. - Horde Summoner II quest is now properly tracking. - Swordsman's Stance V will now properly be displayed. - Golem Trait "Devastion" no longer reduced the Force of everything. - Critical Prowess Quest had a wrong description, this quest is Shield Maiden only! - Cleric and Shield Maiden quests to get the rank V traits for metabolism and parry do work now. - Fixed a bug where quests would not pop midrun. - Fixed that the outro no longer gets displayed when dying in the Vault. - Fixed that uncommon items could be retrieved through the well, this has to be done via the special Shrine activated by the artifact "Archaeologist's Threads"
Notes: - Holy Relic has been accidentally removed with the 1.0 patch from stashes, but we won't attempt to fix this as this may cause more issues. Please just recover the item again - thank you! - Torment Shards could not be found before the language update, if you have little or none because you haven't played in the past three months, this is intended.
Thanks for your support, we'll keep an eye open for further reports and feedback over the coming days and weeks.
We put this message in the patch notes, but it’s been missed by some so we’re dedicating a post to it, as well.
As you might imagine, transferring over all the weapons and blessings in the game for our existing players – from the old system to our new system – is a huge task.
There are two important things to note.
First, we have disabled certain Mastery and Shrine of the Omnissiah features, as well as the Armory Exchange and Melk’s Requisitorium while the update is continuing to roll out.
This means if you’re checking things right now, you will not see any progress or mastery. However, it does not mean you lost it.
While this is happening, we’ve received reports that some players have not been granted the Mastery or Blessings they’re owed. It is likely due to logging in after the above maintenance had started. We’ll let players know when they can log in and check their Mastery progression.
Second, some players are experiencing crashes. If players are running the game with FSR 3.1 Frame Generation enabled, and they are tabbing between the exclusive full screen and windows, they may crash. Further, if players run FSR 3.1 Frame Generation, but without any upscaling enabled (such as FSR 3.1, DLSS or XESS), they will crash upon entering the Mourningstar.
The current workaround is to:
Use borderless fullscreen;
If they’re running the game with FSR 3.1 Frame Generation: Enable one of the Upscaling alternatives (FSR 3.1, DLSS or XESS).
Alternatively:
Disable FSR 3.1 Frame Generation
^ We are working on a fix for this to be included in a hot fix. Thank you for your patience today as we work to get everyone up and running again soon.
With the Dragons update complete, we're working hard on the Ultimates update. This one will include new spells for Mages, new combat mechanics, and a major balance pass for combat. We’re also doing an overhaul of difficulty setup to simplify starting a new game. As always, you can expect new QoL features as well.
We've added a release to the roadmap, The Magic Mirror. It will be all about new looks for the Mages and adding new ways to customize them. Of course, Mages that look great also need more recreation to feel great, so look out for that, too.
Finally, we adjusted the dates on Nexus and Endgame updates. We need to make sure we have plenty of time in beta and prerelease for the next updates and we have a lot of QoL and general improvements to work into the game.
The Nexus update will extend the Underschool with repeatable challenges, new mechanics, and unique resources, adding a lot more play to the mid and late game.
The Endgame update will tie everything together with lore, quests, and endgame goals, which each release is building toward.
For the first time, we're able to say that a 1.0 version of the game is now within sight. There's still a long way to go and we don't have a date for this, but sometime in the vicinity of the Endgame update, we'll be exiting Early Access.
On behalf of the whole dev team, thank you very much for all your play, feedback, and enthusiasm for Mind Over Magic!
Dear Queens and Kings, We’re excited to finally share some more details on Thronefall’s Full Release with you. Let’s start with the most important one: Thronefall will leave Early Access on October 11th 2024!
As promised, we will also launch a big content update with that. Here’s what to expect:
3 New Levels
The Full Release will come with three brand new levels (more than ever before in a single update): Moorweg, Freifort and Totend. As always they’re coming with unique challenges, new enemies and some boss fights!
New Equipment!
Get ready to hone your skills with the Potion Vials, the Battle Axe and the Bloodwand. But that’s not all, we will also add 11 new unlockable Perks and 3 new Mutators to the game, allowing you to get even more creative with your strategies and customize each play session to your liking.
Quality of Life
Along with the new content we introduce, we want to make sure your overall experience playing Thronefall gets even more enjoyable. We’ll add some of the most requested features such as being able to preview information on *all* the coming and past waves while in-game and the option to reset your campaign progress, in case you’d like to start over with a clean slate.
Eternal Trials
Of course all the new content gets added to the Eternal Trials mode as well. With improved balancing and more content than ever, we’re excited to start a new season (and chapter) for this beloved mode.
We can’t wait to share all of this with you soon! Thank you all so much for being such a fantastic community for the past 1.5 years. Your feedback and support was invaluable! It is thanks to you that we had the chance to turn Thronefall into a better game than we possibly could have dreamed of and it really means a lot!
