After much feedback on my original demo, I’ve listened and made significant changes. Prepare to experience a host of exciting updates and enhancements that elevate the demo to new heights. I hope this massive update reflects my commitment to the project. I am dedicated to listening to my fans and showing my unwavering effort to bring this game to life.

COUNTER-MINI GAME
A new counter mini-game has been added to combat. When an enemy misses an attack, R3-M1 can now counter with a light attack if a skill check is met through this exciting new mini-game, dealing additional damage.

NEW EVENT & ENEMY
Discover the new bile nest that transforms rat corpses into vile, dark creatures corrupted by the strange black substance found around the factory. Combat is introduced much sooner, as R3-M1 must eradicate these abominations. Destroy the nest to eliminate this new threat, or face these grotesque entities each time you enter a room with the infestation.


COMBAT ENHANCEMENTS
  • LIGHT ATTACK: Now has a chance to apply Disoriented.
  • HEAVY ATTACK: Has a chance to apply Exposed with new Reaction effects.
  • INCREASED ODDS: Increased chance of applying Disoriented and Exposed.
  • ARMORED HEALTH STATE: Several new skill reactions can now remove this state.
  • PROGRAMMING+: Skills R3-M1 can learn have been split up into 3 categories.
  • HOLO-BOT TRAINING: A new simulation has been added for counter-attacks.
  • SKILL SCREEN: You can now view your known skills through the Ring Menu!
MODULATING R3-M1
A brand-new mod system has been introduced, allowing R3-M1 to further enhance itself throughout the adventure. Discover a variety of nodes and install them at the ROBO-Unit across three categories: Combat, Ranged, and Utility.


EZ CRAFT WORKBENCH UPDATED
The crafting station UI has been completely revamped. You can now queue up multiple items and quantities, crafting them all in one go with a much cleaner interface!

CORROSION SYSTEM
Corrosion has been reworked. Instead of applying immediately upon a corrosive attack, a new build-up bar now fills up slowly. If left unmanaged, it will reach higher levels of corrosion, causing increasing damage over time.

ARENA-BOT COMPANION
You no longer need to locate and repair R3-M1's ARENA-bot companion. Instead, discover the new Research Center and solve an intricate puzzle to release them. They will immediately join your party to assist in combat, eliminating the need to return to the laboratory for crafting and retrieval!


OTHER MINOR UPDATES
  • The home quantum crystal will only teleport you back to the last visited connection.
  • Expanded the Central Production area for more exploration and combat.
  • New licensed music so streamers no longer get flagged while playing the demo.
  • R3-M1 can now find a Tool Kit to open wall grates for some additional hidden items.
  • Expanded the Western Corridor and created a shortcut to the boss for less travel time upon death.
  • Minor grammar and visual updates.
  • Improved lighting and performance updates.

  • If you haven't noticed Geometry Defense is participating in Tower Defense Fest and is on sale!
  • While it is recommended to wishlist the game until it is ready... the base price of the game will be increasing in the near future in anticipation of the exit from Early Access.
  • Current expectations are to get 1.7 out of alpha and Geometry Defense as a whole out of Early Access in Q3 of this year - if not before 2025.

The Collar - [OP] Lord Vader
Well another month has rolled by and lots of work has been completed and more has begun. The second Level, the Parking Garage, has been completed, optimized, and will be playable in the next update. Soon we will have some Alpha Testers playing it to make sure you do not get caught inside a car or fall off the map...cause...well...it happens.

There has been early development in some new items that will help the player and not just used to hit things. Keep an eye out for that in this update too.

As to the current work being done, the third level has been started and laid out. The images are a VERY early work in progress but gives you a tease what it is. Things are progressing but the details are important and I strive to make the levels great and not just throw assets in it. Keep watching for more updates and keep on enjoying the game!

Do not hesitate to jump into Discord and see some updates as they happen and meet some other players! Maybe find a gem to join and make some new friends.

Was requested to add a UI to show who you'd beaten a level as. Done that


Also reduced the image speed of shinsu's webs and lowered the opacity of the hypno spirals. this is technically a nerf but it only means it disappears a few frames earlier than before.

i've hopefully squashed a bug where you clipped through the tables in artist alley, I'm not sure how that happened since the tables are supposed to always move with the player collision wise, though some decorations such as pens on tables pop into existence still.
