It’s been a while since our last update, but we are happy to report that the development of Rue Valley never stopped. In fact, it’s been picking up pace lately, and our team is having a blast! If you check our Steam page, you can see that we’ve updated screenshots to better reflect how Rue Valley’s art style has evolved. Our numbers are growing too. We even had to move to a beautiful new office, and at this very moment we are busy unpacking boxes.



We didn’t enjoy being quiet all this time, and now we have resources to chat with you regularly and share all the news about Rue Valley! So keep an eye out for more Rue Valley news here on Steam, and follow us on our official social media. Spoiler: you won’t have to wait for long!

Hello Candy Makers! 👋

Welcome back to devlog#2 of 🍬 Candy Shop Simulator! Today we’ve prepared a cool feature for you to check out!

In our game there’ll be an option to customize your character. It’s not going to be anything complex but you’ll get to make choices on the following elements:

    - gender
    - skin color
    - eye color
    - head shape
    - hair
    - clothes

We wanted to give you some way to make your character more personalized to allow you to further immerse yourself in the candy shop experience! 💪

On top of that, we do understand that the looks can get boring and you might want to mix things up a little. That’s why we’ve introduced ways to change your appearance during the gameplay! 🤩 With the help of shops in your city (That you can visit with the previously mentioned bike 🚲) you can change your character to some degree.


These shops are the hairdresser and the clothing store. 👕 Although you can’t change your eye color or the shape of your head, it is only natural to change your style once in a while, isn’t it?

thank you for the latest feedback.
Here are some fixes and minor changes for today:

  • Sephilim Core now gives 2 shields per turn instead of 3. Buy cost increased
  • 1HP Repair cost in the Upgrade tab has been increased to 150
  • Battery increase cost in the Upgrade tab has been reduced to 250
  • Corrected some mechanic names inconsistency
  • In the boss detection cutscene you will see the correct class being displayed
  • Fixed Recurring obliterator targeting issues
  • Some measures to prevent some of the soft locks reported
  • Minor visual changes to card layouts and other parts

  • In this newly added mode, players compete to see how far they can advance by avoiding randomly generated obstacles. You will also enjoy new music exclusively for this mode!

Visual updates and other adjustments
  • We will be updating the visuals for several obstacles.
  • Displays the remaining distance to the goal in each area.
  • Make it easy to see the direction of attraction to gravity.
  • Displays icons during special effects.
  • The amount of energy recovery should also be indicated numerically.
  • Add visual effects when using E-boost.
  • The menu will glow when there are custom items available for purchase.
  • Results will now show the difference when the ranking rises.
  • New achievements will be added for the endless mode.
  • Some other minor adjustments are being made.

Flank your enemies and send them back into the hangar with your amazing AP shells!

The revised demo for The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) is officially here! Whether you're an old or new player, we believe giving this new demo a try is 100% worth it: The UI has been majorly re-worked, all of the backgrounds have been updated, we have proper NPC sprites now, tons of new voice acting, and more! I mean, just take a look at the before/after of our main menu...



Isn't it gorgeous? And SO much less cluttered?! Look here! You can even immediately tell how to access the demo's individual chapters now!! Much better than randomly discovering the body text is clickable... 😅



...Anyway!

In all seriousness, we really hope you enjoy this update! When our Kickstarter first ended, we didn't think we would update the demo again, but after a year and a half of work put into the demo contents (i.e. Volume 1) and the upcoming routes, we felt that the original demo no longer accurately reflected our product! So: If you were already excited for this game, or are just now hearing of it, we hope this update will give you a better idea of what to expect when the first halves of Maeve and Shae's routes drop this fall!

By the way: If you played the demo previously, we would love to hear your thoughts on all the changes! We did our best to address most of the major issues/criticisms we received for the previous demo (i.e. navigational problems, the door puzzle, some unfinished-looking backgrounds, glossary errors) and hope to address a few more of them in future updates (e.g. multiple sprite options for Daonna/MC)! Our game, even when available for purchase this fall, is ultimately going to be in an "early access" state for quite a while as we develop the game — so any and all feedback is very helpful! 🙇🏻‍♀️ You can let us know what you think via the community hub/discussions area, or over on our Discord!

Champions, we're excited to share more about the content that will be available in Superball's Early Access. Get ready for fast-paced action in our "Dodgeball" mode! Here's how it works:

Rules:

3v3 battles: Before each match, players will be randomly assigned 3 heroes.
Knockout: Use your superball, abilities, or items to knock opponents down while dodging their attacks.
Power-ups only: You can only use items found on the field.
Shrinking arena and ticking time bomb: The arena gets smaller over time, and a timer on the ball counts down. If time runs out, an explosion knocks nearby players down. Hitting the opposing side resets the timer.
Three strikes and you're out: The first team to eliminate all opponents wins.

Dear Hogardians!

Even though we released a new patch yesterday, we’ve just found a solution to one of the most vexing issues since Cataclismo’s release. Thus, we’ve deployed a new hotfix.

Featuring:

Black Screen Bug
  • Fixed the “black screen issue”, caused by players having their gStats (Global Stats) file corrupted after an unexpected game closure.
gStats and Achievements
  • Now, resetting the gStats file doesn’t restart the achievements progression, letting everyone keep their current achievements.
