NosPlayers, your enjoyment playing NosTale is at the heart of everything we do. We always want to ensure that you can play on servers with lots of activity. For that reason, we have decided to carry out a merge of the UK/EN servers.
You’ll find a Merge FAQ below which should answer any important questions you may have.
The following servers are being merged together:
EN 4 (INT-Valehir)
EN 6 (INT-Jotunheim)
→ EN 4 (INT-Valehir)
No changes will be made to any other servers.
Server Merge FAQ
How did you decide which servers to merge together?
We conducted extensive analysis of the servers and are merging them in such a way that we can ensure a balanced population and activity levels on all servers after the merge.
What happens if I have multiple characters on both servers which are being merged together?
You have a total of four character slots available. If you have more characters than that, the four highest-ranking characters will be transferred to the target server. But! You won’t lose the remaining characters. They’ll just be deactivated. On the website you’ll be able to activate/deactivate your characters as you wish.
Please note that you only have one active slot for Martial Artists.
Here are the various situations which can arise, and how they will be resolved (the ‘original’ classes mentioned here refer to Swordsman, Archer, and Mage):
Situation 1: Three original classes and no Martial ArtistsThree slots will be occupied by your original class characters, and the fourth slot remains empty until you create another character.
Situation 2: Four original class characters and no Martial ArtistsAll four slots will be occupied by your characters.
Situation 3: More than three original class characters and no Martial ArtistsIf you don’t have any Martial Artists, all four slots will be occupied by your highest-ranking characters. Your remaining characters will be deactivated but can be reactivated via the website.
Situation 4: More than four original class characters and at least one Martial ArtistThree slots will be occupied by your highest-ranking original class characters. The fourth will be occupied by your highest-ranking Martial Artist. Your remaining characters will be deactivated but can be reactivated via the website.
Situation 5: Less than three original class characters and at least one Martial ArtistThe slots will be occupied by your original class characters, the remaining slots will remain empty until you create more original class characters. The fourth will be occupied by your highest-ranking Martial Artist. Your remaining Martial Artists will be deactivated but can be reactivated via the website.
How do I activate/deactivate my characters?
Follow these simple steps to activate/deactivate a character:
Open the Gameforge Client and select NosTale.
Click on Settings to open your account settings. This will take you to the relevant NosTale webpage where you can check your character list.
If you have more than four characters and would like to play with one of your deactivated characters, select an active character and click on the character you’d like to play with. This will swap the two characters.
Please note that you only have 1 active slot for Martial Artists.
You can change your active characters on the website at any time. This is also possible for players playing via NosTale.
What happens to families?
Active families will be transferred to the target server. Note that families whose members have been inactive for the last 180 days, or families with fewer than 4 members and a family level below 4 will be deleted.
What happens to the family warehouse?
Items from the family warehouse will be sent to the Family Head by parcel.
What if two or more characters have the same name?
The first criterion for choosing who keeps the name is whichever character was online in the last 90 days. The others will be renamed.
If multiple characters were online in the last 90 days, then the character which is (at least) 10 levels higher than the others keeps the name.
Should there be a tie even after taking both of these criteria into account, then the older character (according to creation date) will keep their name.If you want to rename an automatically renamed character, select the character after the merge and a window will pop up that allows you to change it.
What happens when two or more families have the same name?
If multiple families have the same name on the target server, the older family will keep the name. Newer families are automatically renamed. Please contact the Support team to change the family name manually.
What if I have more than 2,000,000,000 Gold after the merge?
As is standard, the merged servers limit the amount of Gold you can have to 2,000,000,000. If you are over this limit before the merge, you will be capped at this maximum once you are moved to the new server. If you lose Gold because of the merge, please contact our Support team.
What happens to items in the warehouse?
Your items in the warehouse will be sent by parcel to your highest-level character.
What happens to items in the NosMall which aren’t claimed?
Any unclaimed items in the NosMall will be sent by parcel to your highest-level active character.
What happens to active auctions in the NosBazaar?
All active offers in the NosBazaar will be cancelled before the merge and then sent to the respective characters by parcel.
What happens to friend lists and spouses?
As far as possible, friend lists and spouses will be merged on the target server.
Will the rankings be reset?
No, all player ranks on the target server will be newly calculated and adjusted.
What happens to the blacklist?
The blacklist will be deleted during the merge.
My character/account is deleted. Will the data be transferred anyway?
Yes, even deleted characters/accounts will be transferred. It will still be possible to restore your data if you want to after the merge.
Do I have to delete or select the characters I want to be activated on the new server before the server merge?
No, your characters will be activated automatically.
What happens to my Gold and the items in my inventory?
Both your Gold and the items in your inventory will be transferred to the target server.
Do I need to reinstall the game after the server merge?
No, you can launch the game just the same as before.
Will my login details get changed by the merge?
No, you can log in as usual with your credentials. If you have more than 4 characters in total, the four highest-ranking characters will be transferred to the target server. But! You won’t lose the remaining characters. They’ll just be deactivated. On the website you’ll be able to activate/deactivate your characters as you wish.
If you have any further questions, our Support team will be happy to help.
With the platformer The Smurfs – Dreams, set for release at the end of the year, Ocellus Studio will once again immerse us in this cult comic and cartoon franchise! Here, we will be looking at how the team is managing to remain faithful to the vast world created by Peyo in 1958.
Painstakingly reproducing the world of the Smurfs
With more than 60 comic books, as well as many films, TV series and video games, there is a huge amount of Smurfs lore and canon to take in! This is why, in creating The Smurfs – Dreams, Ocellus Studio is doing its utmost to honor the franchise. “The last thing we want to do is to distort it, out of respect for the author and all the people who have grown up with it," Art Director Jordan Parrin summed up , guarantor of the game’s consistency with the world of the Smurfs.
The Smurfs – Dreams is particularly inspired by the latest film from Sony Pictures Animation, Smurfs: The Lost Village, drawing on its stylized and realistic aesthetic. A lot of work is being put into achieving an effect that is close to cinema quality, despite the technical limits of consumer gaming consoles. This is not the only inspiration, though: “We are also drawing a lot on the comic books, by using classic comic features like onomatopoeia, which help players follow the story,” Jordan told us.
To create an authentic Smurfs game, Ocellus Studio carefully compares its work with everything that has been produced up until today, and requests approval from the company that owns the franchise: IMPS, founded by Véronique Culliford. “For instance, there is the Smurfs’ village, an iconic part of the comics, which we reconstructed in Dreams,” Jordan mentioned. “We had a lot of exchanges about the number of houses, their positions... For IMPS, it was crucial for us to respect the houses’ proportions and colors; as for the positioning, we were free to create a layout that made the most sense in terms of gameplay, and convenience for the players.”
Inventing new, yet familiar features
Despite all this, Ocellus Studio can’t be satisfied with just faithfully reproducing the known world of the Smurfs! “Players might get tired of always exploring the forest biome,” Jordan confirmed. “From the outset, our ambition was to stand out, and offer some totally original concepts.”
So, how do you pull off creating an all-new story and amazing, never-before-seen environments, while staying true to the identity of the Smurfs franchise? “Our approach is to begin with an existing element, and then give it a fresh perspective,” Jordan explained. “Take the dream of Vanity Smurf, for example. It had never been explored before. But it’s based on the familiar personality of this Smurf who’s obsessed by appearances and beauty. So, his dream world has luxurious architecture, with gilding and marble, all surrounded by clouds to give it a heavenly ambiance. And the world is of course filled with mirrors: Vanity Smurf loves to gaze at his reflection. We’ll be interacting with them a lot in terms of gameplay.”
Between reconstructing iconic parts of the franchise and creating totally fresh gaming experiences, The Smurfs – Dreams will offer plenty of laughs for both veterans and newcomers to the franchise.

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree - Primal_Alex
Hi everyone!
It’s development update time again! We’re super excited to be able to share another sneak peek into development with you, as well as a bit more info on where we’re at with various aspects of the game.
Big Bad Bosses
We’ve shown a few sneak peeks before of the various enemies you can expect to encounter, and we’re now finalizing the rest of that gallery of villains with plenty of brutal bosses.
Our original plan was to include 10 bosses and 5 mini bosses in the game. However, in the meantime, we realized that there were way more cool beasts and foes we wanted to include to make Mandragora feel even more epic: that’s why we’re now working on including a total of 15 bosses and 19 mini bosses in the full game. Which means plenty more opportunities to try out your strongest loot and face off against challenging foes!
Just make sure you always time your attacks well, prepare your loadout, and get to know your enemy, otherwise it won’t end well… but at least the beast will be well-fed!
The Fine Folks of Faelduum
We talked a little in our last update about where we’re at with the many narrative aspects of the game, including the various characters that populate Faelduum, the world of our game.
Some NPCs you speak to will act as vendors, so you’ll be able to buy and sell useful items and equipment from them. Others will act primarily as quest-givers, often asking for your help in defeating a great evil or simply bringing them a treasured item.
And some will have more mysterious motives…
The localization process is also now well underway, as we work with a professional team of translators to get all that narrative gold (as well as all the less “exciting” stuff, like UI buttons!) skillfully translated into other languages.
Tricks of the Talent Tree
We know many of you love a good Talent Tree (so do we!), so it’s important for us that all the skills available there are fun, balanced, and can be used to create satisfying builds.
You’ll be able to choose which Active Skills you want to have to hand, so remember to customize your current loadout to make sure you use one that best suits the latest challenge you’re facing!
There are also different categories of Skills available - like Astral Skills, which can help you bless your weapon with powerful light to deal even more damage, among other perks!
Atmospheric Areas
Of course, fancy skills are most useful when you can deploy them against enemies, and we all know that it’s also way cooler if you have an epic backdrop to those battles.
That’s why another core thing we’re working on right now is further improving the appearance of our existing levels. That means things like polishing the VFX and tweaking the lighting of environments while still making sure the action is always front and center!
We’ve always wanted to make sure Mandragora is a game that looks super visually appealing, and we’ve been super happy to get feedback from you that we’ve been hitting the mark so far.
And that’s definitely something we want to keep up, regardless of whether you’ll be wandering around a spooky castle or a murky swamp!
In addition to all that shiny stuff, we’re also continuing to work on getting more news to share with you regarding when you can next get your hands on the game.
There are a lot of moving parts that go into decisions on the timing of things like that, especially now as we’re working alongside our new publisher, but as soon as we have any news to share, we’ll be sure to let you know in another update!
In the meantime, we’d just like to thank you for your continued patience and support as we work on making Mandragora the best it can be.
+ In case you missed it: we were highlighted during the Future Games Show showcase, where we also announced our partnership with our new publisher, Knights Peak! If you missed it, be sure to check out the video right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpb3BvQazzI
