Warlords III: Darklords Rising - SNEG Team
Thanks for your support and for reporting the issues you've faced. We are monitoring the forum and working on improving the game's performance.

Here is a list of tweaks introduced in the current patch:

- Replaced software cursor with hardware cursor
- Custom game font now works properly without the need to install it
- Videos will now play on scenario endings
- Centered launcher buttons
- Game timer issues should be mitigated

We understand that some of you are experiencing crashes, and we are prioritizing this issue at the moment. A patch is in the works, and we estimate it will be ready in the coming day(s). We hope this will fix the majority of crashes, and we will continue to monitor all feedback to continuously improve the game.

We also took into consideration the feedback about the timer and the overall balancing in some missions. We will provide more details on this in a dedicated news update for better understanding. We just wanted to let you know that it is coming, as we know these are main topics of discussion at the moment.

You can also expect a patch notes detailing all the changes/fixes for clear visibility on what the patch contains.

We will continue to read all the comments that come in and communicate with you about our next steps to provide the best Crown Wars experience.

Walk with the Living - Cole Brayfield
What's in this update?
-Increased Eimear's base level and stats
-Aoife gains Inspired status when a player character dies
-Fixed a bug with Taran's data carrying over in new game plus
-Miscellaneous bug fixes

Eimear is more immediately useful when recruited. She can now carry players through the series of tougher maps after she joins, especially on Story mode. Aoife now gains Inspired (Mov + 2, Hit + 15, and Avo + 10 for 3 turns) when a player character dies. This allows tense moments where a unit's sacrifice motivates Aoife to escape more quickly or survive a tough encounter.

Walk with the Living II is currently on sale!

While not ready for a full announcement, my new game is titled Walk with Death, and I've revealed art for two of the game's characters and an enemy in my fancy, new Discord. The Walk with the Living games also have a home there, so I hope you'll join myself and others for fun chats!

Hello there Idiots!

This is the moment we all were waiting for the addition of Online Multiplayer.
It took me quite a while due to game jams collaborating with my immune system to delay me but fret not as the online multiplayer is here! Outside of online multiplayer there is also Local Multiplayer and an absolute ton of changes, as you can see the game's weight has now reached 1GB.

Summary

Along with a price tag, this update brings you:

  • Sorted levels by difficulty.
  • Added Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Catalan translations.
  • Added a language selection menu.
  • Added windowed mode.
  • Slightly lower CPU usage.
  • Fix crash when running for a long time.
  • Allow sending a debug report when a crash is detected.
  • Assorted tweaks.

How is difficulty measured?

Every time a level is completed, the time it took to finish is sent to a spreadsheet of mine, After analyzing more than 7000 games, I can plot the average completion time for each level:



It's not nice, it looks like a rollercoaster. More precisely, there's a spike in level 13 which might explain why so few people make it past episode 2.

Therefore, I reordered the levels so they now look like this:



I hope this makes the game much more enjoyable!

Languages!

Spent some dollars and got the game translated to Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Catalan.
OK, the last two I did myself. Apologies for any mistakes.

You can now play in windowed mode, so you can answer your emails while you think of galaxies.

CPU usage should be slightly lower, so fans might not need to kick in and you can enjoy a quieter evening.

Game was shutting down without warning after about 30 minutes, but not anymore.
Furthermore, if it happens again, it will allow you to send me a bug report and attach the execution log.

And a few more tweaks, new level complete sound, new Steam achievement badges, ...
