We had quite a bit of a tumultuous end to January here at Iron Gate, with our Discord server unfortunately getting hacked. The server has been built back up again and we once more invite you to join us there, though we’re sad to say that most of the chat history is now gone due to the hackers deleting almost all of the channels. Still, so many of you reached out to us to offer your support and well-wishes, and it means a lot to us to have such a caring community. You’re the best!
But now on to the fun stuff: In case you’ve missed it, we are currently collaborating with Heroic Replicas! They have created some incredible Valheim replicas, both large and small, which you can now get your hands on. Check out their Kickstarter campaign, which is live for another couple of days. Book your items before February 26th while you have the chance!
The best part about the Kickstarter is that it’s run entirely by Heroic Replicas, so it hasn’t impacted the Ashlands development at all! We’d of course like to continue to give you some sneak peeks of what we’re working on, and for that we’d like to start off with the third and final Walk & Talk episode. We hope you’ve appreciated the series!
But of course we have some good old fashioned still images for you as well! The Ashlands is a hostile place, even for the creatures that live there. You’ll be able to stumble upon the corpses of some of them on your travels. Just be careful of whatever killed them in the first place…
The skulls of the very same creatures can also be used to create this fancy-looking wreath, which is both decorative and useful. Can you guess what for?
We also want to give you a clearer view of something from the Walk & Talk episode. We go into a bit of detail about the weapon customisation you’ll be able to experiment with in the Ashlands, and how you’ll use gems to give special properties to your items. This sword, for example, is the same sword that we’ve already shown you a lightning version of, but this is what it will look like if you upgrade it with a bloodstone instead:
Build of the Month
Even though we’re yearning for spring, we couldn’t resist this dreamy winter castle by Chicken_Phobia. Well done! If you want your creation to be featured in this section, use the hashtag #ValheimBotM on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. Due to changes in the tagging system on Facebook and Instagram, please also send us a DM with a link to your entry as well as using the hashtag if you post there! You can view previous builds in this thread on Steam.
Ready your swords!

JR EAST Train Simulator - Development Staff(JR East)
Thank you for playing JR EAST Train Simulator! We are pleased to announce the Takasaki Line DLC, which will finally go on sale on February 27 (Tuesday).
*The screen is under development and the contents may change from the time of release.
Points of Appeal
The "Rapid Urban" can be operated!
Capable of operating at a maximum speed of 110 km/h!
Actual voice broadcasts by the current train conductor are implemented! (Broadcasting is handled by the Kagohara Train crew depot.)
About the Route
The Takasaki Line is a 74.7 km long line connecting Omiya Station in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture to Takasaki Station in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture. This DLC includes the Tohoku Main Line section between Ueno and Omiya stations, for a total length of 101.4 km. The line has a relatively long history among Japanese railroads, with its predecessor, Nippon Railway Company, starting operations between Ueno Station and Kumagaya Station in 1883. The following year, in 1884, the line was extended to Takasaki Station and opened to full service. It was not until later, in 1909, that the line was officially named the "Takasaki Line". Until the opening of the Joetsu Shinkansen in 1982, the Takasaki Line was the main transportation link between the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Niigata and Hokuriku regions, with many limited express and sleeper trains operating on the line. Currently, most of the long-distance transportation role has been handed over to the parallel Joetsu Shinkansen, and as of 2024, only "Akagi Limited Express" and "Kusatsu-Shima Limited Express" trains regularly operate on the Takasaki Line as limited express trains. The Takasaki Line has been used as a key interregional transportation line for commuting to work and school, etc. In 2001, the Shonan-Shinjuku Line started service directly to the Tokaido Line via Ikebukuro and Shinjuku Stations, and in 2015, the Ueno-Tokyo Line started service directly to the Tokaido Line via Tokyo and Shinagawa Stations, allowing passengers to travel between the northern Kanto region and Kanagawa Prefecture without changing trains. The new line allows passengers to travel between northern Kanto and Kanagawa Prefecture without having to change trains. On the way from Ueno Station to Omiya Station, the line runs parallel to the Keihin-Tohoku Line and the Shonan-Shinjuku Line, and continues through the Tokyo bedroom community. After leaving Omiya Station, fields along the line become conspicuous near Konosu Station, and near Fukaya Station, you can see the fields of "Fukaya Negi" green onions, which are famous throughout Japan. We hope you will enjoy this DLC as you ride along the Takasaki Line at speeds of up to 110 km/h while gazing at the ever-changing scenery.

Before we prepare for the final journey to the Sigil of the Tree content, we're currently wrapping up the blocked-off sections and hidden content in the areas released so far.
Accordingly, the next update will include many maps and various mid-bosses, along with mini-games and puzzles, even though it is not a new area update.
Please check out the key contents below!
Trial of the Waterfall
As some of you may know, there is a hidden space behind a waterfall somewhere in the Village of the Sun.
Fittingly named 'Trial of the Waterfall,' behind this waterfall lies a challenging puzzle involving 'pushing' mechanics and a hidden boss that you would never have imagined.
Temple of Dance
Somewhere in the eastern jungle is a hidden temple dedicated to the study of the monkey's dance. What could possibly happen in this scary yet exciting place?
Dusky Town and the Tennis Match
The path at the entrance of the Moon Forest Village that many of you have been curious about is set to open.
Taking advantage of the chaos caused by the corrupted Silk Worm Warrior, a bug named 'Blanc' wearing white shorts is ruling over the Dusky Town. What will happen in Dusky Town, where tennis is loved?
Anglerfish Cave and Temple of Cuisine
You'll be able to play the hidden temple and Anglerfish Cave in the latter part of the sea area.
In the temple, you can acquire a new sea area hat, and in the cave, you'll meet a new mid-boss.
Penguin Island
In the southern part of the Snowfield, you'll find an island full of penguins.
Solve the creepy mystery hidden among the adorable penguins!
Tucker's House
On the western path of the Central Forest, there is a secluded cabin. There, you can meet Tucker, who is researching the trash monsters.
Town Portal
Before facing all the bosses, a portal that allows for quick travel to the nearest village will be added.
If the boss battle is tricky, return to the village to heal and buy items that will help in combat before challenging again!
Additional Features for Hats
Various functions are planned to be added to the hats that have not had specific features so far. Stay tuned!
Value Adjustment for Mini-Games and Items
The rewards for mini-games, which were low compared to playtime and difficulty, are set to increase. With the adjustments in the value of in-game content, the values of items will also be revised.
The update is scheduled for the third week of March. We hope many of you will enjoy 'Ogu and the Secret Forest' even more with the preparations we've made.
