During the previous meeting, ToT – head of Ankama – presented the contents of Update 0.13 rolled out in October and the official trailer for season 4 of WAKFU, the series, and the Oropo special episode. It's December now, and the next update is fast approaching… So now's the perfect time to sit down with you again, on Twitch, to share our plans for the coming months!

For this end-of-year show, we're preparing a slight different format than usual with no less than three members of the WAVEN production team to answer the questions of a guest host invited especially for the occasion. Two sessions are planned in French and English so we can reach our international community. In the French episode, Nozadah will be joining the party and speaking for you during the live!

• From 2:30 p.m. (CET) for French-speakers, with XyaLe (project manager & narrative designer), Tator (game designer), ToT (creative director), and Nozadah (Ankama partner) as guest host.
  
• From 4:30 p.m. (CET) for English-speakers, with Zams (narrative designer), Tator (game designer), Bast (game producer), and Ambellina (product director) as host.

During these livestreams, we'll talk about WAVEN from its launch in early access without beating around the bush, then we'll talk about the major content lines for the next update, and finally we'll also take the opportunity to share our forecast and major objectives for the future. At the end of the show, we'll finish up with a Q&A session during with YOU'll have your say!

Hey Ranchers! I’m thrilled to bring you the latest update for Vampire Rancher. As we begin the holiday season, let's dive into the details of what's new in this month's devlog!



Forageable Creatures 🐌

In the corners of your town, you'll now find forageable critters! These creatures, like snails and frogs, are more than just garden pests; they're valuable resources waiting to be discovered. Collect them and use them in various cooking recipes, alchemical potions, and collect their eggs to create a mini-menagerie. So make sure to keep an eye out for these charming critters during your strolls.



Rainy Nights ☔

I’ve worked on adding rain to Vampire Rancher. Say hello to gentle rain showers that not only add a soothing ambiance but also bring benefits to your crops. Rain will automatically water your crops to save you some time. Note that the rain might affect the mood of certain town guests, so be sure to stock up your tavern with mood-boosting foods and drinks.



New Shop: Seed & Sundry 🌱

Seed & Sundry is your one-stop shop for all your farming needs! You’ll be able to buy seeds, farming tools, and other sundries to help you grow better and more crops. I’m still developing Seed & Sundry’s shopkeeper, so keep an eye out for this character in a later update.



Cooking UI Improvements 🍲

I’ve spent some time improving the cooking and crafting screens. You’ll be able to see the different recipes, their ingredients, and fuel costs more clearly. The quality and nature of your ingredients can affect the traits of the cooked meal.



Fuel System for Crafting 🔥

Some crafting stations, like the Cooking Range and Fermentation Vat, will require fuel to operate. You can create firewood from splitting logs and mine coal ore from deep below in the vampiric ruins for fuel sources.





I hope you enjoy these additions and improvements so far. I’m almost a year into development and am ecstatic about the progress so far. I understand waiting isn’t easy, so thank you for being patient and giving me the time and space needed to create an awesome game.

Winter is coming and the night is full of horrors. However, nothing can stop us from working non-stop on Cataclismo, so much so that we're implementing new features before the year ends.

The possibility of saving your structures using blueprints was not only one of the first stretch goals unlocked during the Kickstarter but also one of the first new features we’re adding to Cataclismo. Here’s a preview of how it works:



It couldn't be simpler. Build one structure brick by brick, save it, and watch how it auto-builds in the purest Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V action.

Saving structures is pretty straightforward, too. Use the mouse to select an area, and everything within will be saved as a blueprint. Before actually building with blueprints, there will be a preview of the structure so you can check how it fits in your citadel.

Dear Stormworkers,

This week is announcement week, with minor updates planned for next week 8th December, and also every two weeks following as normal.

Next week is mostly fixes and improvements, but does include a minor new feature. While we are using the majority of our time for fixes, we are reserving a small amount of time to introduce smaller new features, and plan to add something new on average every 4 weeks.



We are also planning the usual free major updates, and next year should bring 4 of these. We are carefully listening to players, and next years majors will be highly requested features. We have plenty of work to do here, but we are really excited and expect they will make a huge difference to players.

We are not currently planning more DLC for Stormworks in 2024. Our focus will be on quality improvements and highly requested features.



Work continues on 'Not Stormworks 2'. If you are not familiar, 'Not Stormworks 2' is a new game that we are working on. Only one thing is known for sure: it is NOT a sequel to Stormworks! Stormworks will continue for a long time, and isn't affected by this other game. We will announce more info in 2024.
