The spoops are upon us, and what better time to do a spoopy update for Wet Nightmares?
Development is moving along at an incredible pace, we are doing tests of the build internally and ensuring it is all perfect. Little bits of additional dialogue are being added to fix some misunderstandings and such. The hardest part about building this game is making sure the atmosphere is good, since we are working in a visual novel format here there isn’t much other than pacing we can do to affect the mood of our readers. Audio cues, creating renders for specific scenes, and such. It all takes time to perfect.
The long and short of it, we are taking our time to make sure Wet Nightmares is perfect. You’ll be pleased when it’s in your hands, that we can be sure of.
Here are some new scenes from Chapter 2! We hope you all have a very safe and spoopy Halloween! And try not to bang too many very convincing girls in costume… you never know…
Changed the graphic’s distortion effects to be higher when on real body and lighter when on ghost body.
Modified the protagonist’s walking animations.
Modified the protagonist’s walking speed to match the limp walk animation (Slower when taking a step, faster when dragging the limp leg, overall slightly faster).
Minor adjustments to the game’s physics.
Made interactable documents easier to see.
Documents that can only be read when in real body are now colored red.
Documents that can only be read when in ghost body are now colored blue.
Changed the sounds for taking physical and psychic damage.
Enemies have higher HP but lower spawn rates.
Enemy bullets can now phase through walls.
Random battles disabled in rooms with scripted battles until you beat said scripted battle.
Psychic stability drain disabled during boss battles.
Added the ability to switch to a top-down view when using the ghost body.
Added a new room with a quick tutorial for the view switching mechanic.
Parking lot room now has a new puzzle instead of a labyrinth.

Bugfixes: - Fixed time and no-crash bonus not counting towards total score - Removed colliders of roof pillars in bob sledding Track so camera doesn't get stuck when driving along the curved walls of track.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to complete the Update 0.3 in October, as sad as it is. There was too much work and we need extra time to finish testing, polish the balance and implement all the features of the Hero Encounters. That's why we have to postpone the release date of "The Hero" update to November.
