changes / quality of life
- every interaction is now performed with a single click instead of having to keep holding the mouse button. in some cases, holding the mouse button will keep the interaction going (like chopping wood and taking items from a stockpile)
i hope this will improve the gameplay alot, making the interaction less finicky
- when holding a mouse button on certain building, giving them items (such as giving logs to a campfire), you won't automatically also throw in other items anymore. instead you'll have to click (and hold) again to start giving other items. (this applies for campfires, bonfires, fire pits, the animal feeder, pantry, tavern and furnace)

fixes
- fixed the hitbox on the pause/resume button
- fixed a bug when removing a construction site that was multiple tiles large it would often result in a crash at some point
- fixed a bug where you can get the "any" item from the incubator
- fixed a bug where you can get infinite eggs from the incubator
- fixed a bug where eggs hatch instantly from the incubator
- fixed a bug where you can't place an egg in the incubator by dragging an egg from your inventory
- fixed a bug where the game softlocked after getting the ending screen
- fixed some sprites not being drawed properly when zoomed in
- some optimization

Our first raid test has been completed! We were wanting to see how well our optimization efforts paid off on old hardware with low network latency. The results were simply amazing. Everyone had a great time and performance was really solid from start to finish. This is a HUGE milestone for us as a game. Many of the latest games and MMO's that have come out are not including much end-game content. Many times, this is because of performance and difficulty with having many people in a small area. We were more than THRILLED to see our test and performance work so well under these conditions. Going forward, we will be doing more tests in case you missed this one and will increase our player counts.

American Arcadia is coming to Steam in three weeks!

To celebrate it, we are happy to present The Voices of Arcadia: A series on the amazing voice actors who have helped us to breathe life into our characters.

We start with Yuri Lowenthal, a voice actor with a long career in video games; you may have heard it very recently on Spiderman 2. 📦 We've got something really cool to share with you: our fresh game feature called "Mystery Items." When you go into a box, you'll come out with something different in your mouth. Let's take a quick look at how this fun idea came to life.



🤔 We thought about what kind of funny things you could find in the box. From random trash to cool cat toys, the list was endless. We made some things rarer than others, so every time you try it, you get a fun surprise.

🖥️ We did some techie stuff to make it work, like making sure the box and the things inside it move right. We also made a big list of items and decided how often you'd get each one.

🙀 This feature shows we're all about making the game fun and surprising for you. So, jump into that box and see what funny thing you'll get in your mouth next time you play.

Open Beta means no strings attached – everyone is welcome! There's no need for admission, just head over to the UNITED 1944 Steam page, request access, and download the Beta. If you already have UNITED 1944 Beta in your Steam library, just update it.

This Beta version is the same one that was showcased during Steam Next Fest, but with some bug fixes we've implemented since then. You'll have the opportunity to dive into both Domination in North Africa and France, as well as the intense Survivors mode on the France map.
