Learning Factory - ElJorro

Hey engineers! The grand game polishing has officially begun, but that doesn't mean we won't be adding new awesome content (quite the contrary, actually!). But first, we'd like to talk to you about an experiment we made...

Experimental Terraforming Re-Balance
As you might now, default tiles of the game have random efficiency distribution. It can affect growth of plants and the efficiency of some buildings.

Previously, the best way to maximize a tile's potential was to replace it with a manually crafted tile. This update brings an option to do it with a special kind of Fertilizer (see below). It becomes available early in the game, but to compensate it, we have increased the cost of research for terraforming tiles (the production costs of tiles, once researched, remains the same)

Our idea is to motivate players to interact with two default maps' landscapes, making use of the land they get on the default map and finding creative solutions for numerous watery obstacles on the alternate map.

This idea makes sense to us, but you'll be the ones playing it, so we encourage you to check this part of the game out and let us know:

Is it a 'yay' or 'nay' for you? Share your thoughts in the comments below, or drop us a line on Discord, or use the built-in feedback form in the game

Re: Wayne
We're investigating the rendering problem on Mac Pro M2 / Mac OS X 14.0.0 - the architecture of the processor is very new and the new OS version emerged emerged a couple of days back. With that said, we don't even have the machine to test the game with yet, but we're working on this
Re: squibbons
We have partially fixed bugs with incorrect scaling of tooltip windows and scrollboxes in the windowed mode on lower screen resolutions, but the issue might persist here and there, we're looking into it

Dinos Reborn - livia
Dear Hunters,

Last time we introduced you to the characteristics of the king of dinosaurs, the T-Rex. Today we come to you with a description of the organization for which you will be carrying out various missions during your adventure in Dinos Reborn.

Organization
GEF is an organization dedicated to recreating dinosaurs from their biological DNA, which they found on one of the islands. Unfortunately, after losing control of the project, the company has been forced to hire some mercenaries (including you) to help them kill the menacing creatures, get the samples, and recover important documents left on the island. The organization is divided into three branches.

Genesis Expeditionary Force
A military faction dedicated to fighting fierce and dangerous dinosaurs. Your mission is to recover important documents containing confidential information about military strategies, new technologies, and weapons. Find them, deliver them to the right people, and make sure they do not fall into the wrong hands. The missions you receive from the military faction are extremely dangerous and require meticulous planning and decisive action. Your skill, courage, and determination will be key in these missions.

Genesis BioVentures
A faction dedicated to the study of flora and fauna. Their goal is to collect samples of the island's flora and fauna for vital research. Explore unknown territories, find the necessary research materials and contribute to the advancement of science. Be prepared to work in harsh weather conditions and challenging terrain during these missions.

Genesis BioPharma
The faction is focused on creating medicines and pharmaceuticals from dinosaur blood. As a mercenary, you'll collect the blood of various dinosaur species and acquire medicines from the island that are essential for saving lives and curing diseases. You can also expect to be tasked with delivering research files essential to the creation of biological weapons and soldier enhancers.

As a mercenary, you can earn cash rewards for completing missions, which you can use to buy better equipment. The difficulty of the missions is similar for each faction but increases as you progress. Remember to prepare well, it is better not to rely on luck in this case. That's it for today, thank you for your attention, and see you in the next devlog! Remember to add Dinos Reborn to your Wish List on Steam and join our Discord.

Wyvia - gigatank3000
Welcome to another class guide, today we'll talk about Wyvia's dedicated marksman and ranged monster slayer, the Hunter. They can utilize a variety skills to deliver punishing ranged damage and live off the land. Hunters can use cannons, bows, and throwing knives to fire projectiles. As a subclass of the Wayfarer they use medium armor along with pouches that provide additional ranged damage when standing still for set periods of time.

THE HUNTER

The Hunter is an advanced physical ranged damage dealer with a variety of utility skills to provide direct damage and more indirect forms of damage. Hunters can employ skills such as Dart which hits an enemy with a projectile that erupts into a poison cloud, Trap which leaves a landmine that explodes on contact, and Bandolier which give the hunter limited supercharged ammo that can hit enemies dealing extra damage. As a subclass of the Wayfarer it synergies well with those skills, especially Scavenger which in addition to granting extra resources also grants a portion of health as healing. The pouches they utilize also gain defensive benefits in addition to the ranged damage they provide, and unlike other classes Hunters can commune with familiars more easily increasing their benefits and can use two at a time.

SKILLS

Dart

The first skill available to hunters is dart. This let's the hunter deliver poison to whatever enemy it hits. When the dart is upgraded it can impart weaken which lowers the damage of the enemy and makes them more susceptible to damage. In addition it stuns the enemy with dizzy for 20 seconds. It also creates a poison cloud that lingers for a long period of time.

Trap

The next skill in a Hunter's holster is Trap, essentially a landmine that creates an explosion take converts ranged attack into damage. When fully upgraded with Better Trap the explosion created splinters into a clusterbombs that convert into a percentage of damage and creates bigger cluster explosions. This skill is perfect for laying ambushes for unsuspecting enemies and creating some breathing room between you and the enemy.

Bandolier

Hunters specialize in precise burst DPS to help them take down large monsters like Elites and Bosses. Bandolier is the final skill in the Hunter's arsenal this gives the Hunter 10 rounds of highly specialized ammunition that delivers extra damage for a percentage of ranged attack as extra damage to the nearest enemy expending a round. When upgraded with Better Bandolier it grants additional maximum ammo and grants 5 extra on use when maxed. Upgrading Extra Bandolier grants a chance for 2 extra sniping shots to fire in random directions and when fully maxed out sniping shots are always critical damage.

PASSIVE SKILLS

Pet Handler

Dexterity of Hunters

Luck of Hunters

Pouch Mastery

Restful Scavenge
