We trust that you're well. As you carve your path towards becoming an iconic wuxia master in Wandering Sword, we hope your experiences have been thrilling and memorable. Over the past two weeks, we’ve been continually working on optimizing the game, Today, we're excited to introduce a minor patch update, which also includes a new addition to the game!

New Addition

  • You can now learn the martial arts of the Liushan School. Begin a fresh save and locate Liu Xiong from Liushan School. Once you've met the required conditions, you can consult him to acquire the martial arts techniques of the Liushan School.
Feature Optimizations
  • Modified the prerequisites for the Refined Bear-snake Pill side quest. Players must now affiliate with Wudang Sect before undertaking the quest.
  • Improved the guidance of Bai Jin's quest progression. Upon retrieving the Yuan army intelligence in Bai Jin's Outer Lands Scenery quest, players will receive a prompt to revisit Xuangu Pass.
  • Optimized the speed of the post-battle summary screen.
  • Improved the explanation for "insufficient gathering conditions”.
  • Disabled the use of 2x battle speed and auto-battle in key battles, such as in Wudang Contest, the Soulwrecking Bird Quest, Kong Liang's Side Quests, and the initial clash in Valley of Dragons' Slumber.
  • Redesigned several debuff icons for clarity.
  • Relocated the daytime chest in Mingjian Manor’s Mo Ye Hall to prevent players from getting stuck after opening it.
  • Introduced additional pixelated animations of Mowen within storyline segments.
  • Adjusted the conversation between characters in certain dialogues to better reflect their relationships.
  • Optimized the animation speed when enemies are defeated
  • Updated certain NPC’s descriptions based on their background.
  • Optimized certain english translations in-game.
Bug Fixes
  • Resolved an issue where toggling to auto-battle during skill activation in turn-based battles would freeze the game.
  • Addressed an issue where the weapon forging interface could present blank attribute sections.
  • Fixed an issue where you can access the settings menu during the tutorial cutscene.

Dear Dwelvers community,

I am thrilled to announce that we have reached a milestone for Dwelvers! After years of development, Dwelvers is now in Beta. This means that it is feature complete, and the only things left to fix are some bugs before we have a full release.

These news posts usually start with me being sorry for not updating in a while, and this post is no different. I had high ambitions when I started developing Dwelvers. I added feature after feature, I listened to the community and tried to add their suggestions as well, not thinking about how each new feature exponentially drove the estimated time for finishing the game far into the future.

Dwelvers is a game that is really close to my heart, and it has been painful not being able to develop it in a faster phase. I read the forums once in a while and find some heartwarming comments, but also comments from people who are disappointed, which is well understood.

I would not have put Dwelvers in early access if I had known that it would take almost ten years to complete it. Ten years is a really long time, and the only excuse I have is that this game is huge and has taken at least 4-5 years of full-time development to finish it. The income I’ve gotten from the game has barely lasted one year. Despite having a family with kids, a house, and a private life I’ve managed to squeeze time into development to finish Dwelvers.

The reason why I have not kept you all updated about the development process is that I got tired of making promises over and over again and then not being able to develop or show any progress in months. Instead, I wanted to show that I actually have the game finished enough to back my words up, like I have now!

The plan now is to have a full release before the end of the year, and I would love to get your feedback if you find any bugs. Or just tell me if you enjoy the game.

Dwelvers has a pretty bad rating now, and if we look at the reviews, it is almost only because of the lack of updates or disbelief that the game would be finished. It would be really helpful if you would find the time to balance these bad ratings out by actually writing that the game is near to finish. Or if you have written a bad rating because of this reason, please reconsider so that Dwelvers can get a good reception when it is fully released.

Creatures Can No Longer Climb Blocks
  • You'll now need to use Ladders to climb to higher or lower levels of terrain
  • Some natural ladders will appear after the realm is created
  • Ladders are now more easily placed in all directions

Levels can now have various victory conditions set for realms to be finished

Halloween is almost here! This much-loved season is the time for horror games to show what they're made of!

We've decided to make a splash for this period by offering you a multi-entity contract upgrade (they can have up to 3 entities now) 3 new evidences, a new piece of equipment, as well as a new labyrinth map!

As a reminder, the "public test" beta is accessible by going to your Steam library, right-click Ghost Exorcism INC -> Properties, then go to the "Beta" tab, and select "public-test" from the dropdown list. A game update will then begin. This will allow you to test the latest beta update with the new features mentioned in this patchnote.


  • New Evidence: Notebook Fire - The Notebook can now catch fire when nearby some entities, and upon doing so will be evidence.
  • New Evidence: Smoke: Crucifix - The Crucifix can now begin smoking when nearby some entities, and upon doing so will be evidence.
  • New Evidence: Smoke: Mary Statue - The Mary Statue can now begin smoking when nearby some entities, and upon doing so will be evidence.
  • New Map: ITALY - Catacombe Obscura - For centuries, these catacombs initially served as burial grounds for non-cremated bodies. Over time, and with the cessation of this practice, they gradually transitioned into a pilgrimage site, eventually becoming a tourist attraction. Recently, unusual paranormal phenomena have occurred while tourists were visiting this historically rich location. We specialize in addressing such enigmatic occurrences. Let us restore the peace and sanctity of this historical space.
  • New Equipment: Glowsticks - Players can now buy a pack of glowsticks. Each package contains 4 glowsticks. The glowstick color can be changed with the "Alt Activate" key (usually 'Q' by default). These should come in handy when exploring the new underground labyrinth, or for marking important objects or locations.
  • Multi-Entity contracts can now have up to 3 entities! Quick Multi-Entity contracts will still have 2 entities, but Full Multi-Entity contracts will now have 3!

  • Changed map loading method to improve performance.
  • Fixed evidence selection: The Notebook and evidence found on walls/floor are now separate and can be chosen in the Ghostpedia, simultaneously for a single entity.
  • (EDIT 10/13/2023) Crash fixed.
