Operation Lovecraft: Fallen Doll Playtest - KILK
Greetings, Researchers! Update 0.7.5 brings a new investigator: Elizabeth Carter, with 53 new experiments.

Elizabeth Carter has been at the helm of DMAIC for nearly two hundred years, but this iron-fisted technology oligarch shows no physical signs of aging. The official explanation from DMAIC is that Elizabeth has undergone extensive gene therapy to achieve immortality, yet her longevity still spawned many a conspiracy theory: Some believe that she is a periodically replaced clone with Elizabeth’s memory while more radical ones claim that the Carter family has a long history of cutting deals with aliens.

New experiment subjects: Gug and Tcho-Tcho.

After this update, all investigator blueprints can be obtained and analyzed normally even if you do not have their respective Advanced Research Pass. Green and Blue experiment synthesis costs have increased, and you will still require the associated Advanced Research Pass to synthesize an investigator’s experiments.

Patch 0.7.5 introduces an experimental feature: when acquiring an outfit set, players will receive all pieces of that set at once which can be mixed and matched with other clothing. Additionally, accessories have been divided into 4 categories: face, neck, hands, earrings. This allows investigators to wear many types of accessories at once, such as glasses and collars.

  • A new hair simulation system has been applied to Elizabeth’s hair, which may result in performance and visual issues on lower-end PCs. We will keep a close eye on issues that may arise.
  • A new experimental UI system has been implemented, which should address all remaining known UI bugs/issues from the previous system.
  • Players can now browse experiments using category filters.
  • Genital Dilation Level recovery rate has been reduced to 1/3rd of its previous speed.
  • Players can manually set an investigator as their avatar.
  • Players can enter Inspect Mode during experiments.
  • Server and network connections have been optimized. The game will no longer boot you to the main menu when connections become unstable.
  • Graphics & sound optimization. Depth of Field settings for all players have been reset to address screen blurring due to accidental changes to that parameter.

UNITED 1944 - Gina Zero
Starting now and until Sunday October 1 at midnight PT, battles are waged across the French cities fighting for liberation and in the North Africa operations. You’ll need a lot more than just your shooting skills to stay standing, however, as this unique take on urban fighting features crafting and building as centerpieces of survival.

You’ll be scavenging for resources, fortifying bases, defending outposts, crafting your gear and fighting the enemy in WWII battles that aim to be realistic yet rooted in fun gameplay. Squad up in 16v16 domination matches in the WWII theaters of a new map set in a French city, where the push inward of the Allies was at its peak after D-Day, and a revamped and improved North Africa map, with better team balancing and new landmarks. Many new features have been implemented following player feedback, including an updated day-night cycle, improved movement, and new guns. You can check out the complete patch notes for UNITED 1944 Closed Beta II here.

This is your chance to prove yourself not only in action-packed domination matches, but also in an all new survivor mode! This new mode makes its debut today and takes the scavenging and open construction approach to a whole new level of tension. It’s a dog-eat-dog world: everyone is an enemy, and your only means of staying alive is what you can find around you. Look for resources, explore the city, and set up improvised bases anywhere as you fight for survival. Build, raid, kill, steal, scavenge, and destroy as you need for survival. Play for as long as you want, do your best to stay standing, and extract with as much loot as you’re capable of. Will you become a survivor of World War II... or will your bones be buried forever in this city?

Check out this Survivor Mode gameplay overview to know more about this new game mode and how it works:

This closed beta runs uninterrupted for almost three full days starting now and ending on Sunday October 1 at midnight PT, with servers in Europe, North America, and Asia to ensure that all players in these regions get a smooth experience in the battle trenches. To request access to the beta, you can click the ‘Request access’ button on the UNITED 1944 Steam page and join the official Discord server for developer updates, feedback and technical support. Iragon 18+ - Lamorak
New Prologue Build!

Click here to watch our MONTHLY video for September!

Scene Progress
Welcome back to another Iragon changelog. After successfully mo-capping the Harbinger Intro, this week we started building the base of the scene. Since it has a lot of detail and it's longer than previous scenes, we will need more time to finish it. In the meantime, we are fixing and improving older ones. Thank you for your patience and support, we are trying our best to deliver amazing scenes as soon as possible.

Main Menu Improvements
We’ve also revamped the Main Menu Background. On top of what’s immediately visible, when left idle the scenes will start changing after some time.

What game have you been playing for the longest?
Some games enter into your life early on and stick with you for as long as you can remember. For some people, these are games that they revisit every year or so, and for others they're games that are always installed and are played consistently. So what game have you been playing for the longest?

Mix Universe - chriszuko
First of all thank you so much to those who have purchased the game so far!
It's now the end of September and I am still chugging away at gamepad support. I wanted to be as transparent as possible so here it goes.

I needed a break
I had a trip that was planned since the beginning of the year and also just needed a break in general to recharge a bit. I am back now but..

I also have not been well..
I started getting vertigo attacks on a daily basis at the end of August which have basically made it increasingly difficult to make progress. I am still managing to do so, but at a much slower pace. I am hopeful that things will improve here over the coming weeks as I seek more treatment, but I have to be mindful of my health while juggling all the things.

I underestimated gamepad support
Mix Universe is kind of like a weird RTS camera setup when it comes to the user interface. What I ended up landing on was giving the player control of the cursor in edit mode which allows for a lot move flexible UI layouts. You can still hit the D-pad to navigate the main UI's, but the cursor is much more intuitive for things like placing and connecting nodes. Because of this, there were many hurdles that I had to jump through which I wasn't expecting. Something as simple as, how do I tell UI buttons to be selected by fake cursors.. took much longer to figure out than expected. Basically this entire update has become a larger UI undertaking than I imagined.

To give you an idea of what this has grown to be, here's a seemingly neverending list of tasks to make using a gamepad feel nice.

The good stuff
Overall, there are a decent amount of things queuing up for the next update.
- Almost every UI element will have been updated in some way to try and ease the gameplay a bit.
- I've also gone through and made it so sliders for UI scale actually work properly and the UI automatically scales based on your monitor's DPI. Something like the steamdeck will have big buttons while a 4k monitor will have medium sized buttons.
- I've also been playing around with auto-focusing selection which can make node editing feel a bit more intuitive out of the gate (You can toggle this in settings)
- 1 2 3 4 buttons have images now.
- Other things like decreasing the amount your camera will freak out if you have hitches and various other bug fixes have come along too.

Here's a bit of what the new UI is starting to look like for the edit menu.

An example of the new sliders too.

So when is the next update?
I will be shooting for late October and will post another development update if that is to change. I am fairly confident I can deliver a stable update by then. IF you are curious or impatient, you can feel free to check out the experimental beta branch.

Please make sure to backup your MixUniverse folder in your documents directory before you do.

As always, thank you so much for being a part of this musical sandbox journey!
