Snufkin is a famous vagabond and adventurer, but only few know that he never ventures anywhere without his harmonica. His friends enjoy listening to the Snufkinâs melodies greatly and find comfort and fascination in the way the vagabond plays. Music is said to bring people together, and this is precisely the case for Snufkin - especially when he uses his harmonica to brighten up someoneâs mood, make new friends or find help on his challenging journey.
What contributed to the immersion into the Snufkinâs musical journey is not just his masterful skill in playing harmonica but also the magnificent soundtrack created in collaboration with the Icelandic band Sigur RĂłs. A hotfix has been installed on the game servers. We've fixed the issue due to which it was impossible to select the prestige rewards. Log into the game before the end of the "Treasure Hunters" season to get your prize!
The prestige reward selection has been fixed. If you've reached a prestige level yielding a reward and couldn't select it, just log into the game. You'll see the reward selection screen again and will be able to choose the desired prize.
Please note that if you don't log into the game before the end of the "Treasure Hunters" season, you won't be able to choose the reward. We'll be distributing prizes to such players later after the autumn season launch.

The wait is over. Quameno & Gizureans, the two new playable factions for Distant Worlds 2, have invaded the Galaxy.
Two alien species, two factions, two societies follow very different paths.
The puzzle-loving Quameno focus on research, with their whole society aimed at unlocking the knowledge and mysteries of the universe. Trivial matters, such as trade, espionage, or even diplomacy, are only seen as distractions from their goal of research and intellectual prowess.
The Gizureans are vast both in numbers and in their hunger to consume the galaxyâs resources to keep their ever-expanding population happy. With a mysterious past, hinting at a once-whole hive mind from which only a limited shared consciousness remains, this aggressive faction engineers their ships with many fighters and special partially organic hex armor.
Each of these new factions also comes with their own special storyline and unique story locations, adding to the possible exploration events and to your knowledge of galactic lore. The Quameno will give you some additional insights on the Ancient galaxy and some of the mysteries the Ancient Guardians left behind, while the history of the Gizureans is connected with that of the Hive threat as well as the ancient enemy known as the Shakturi!

This means that weâve taken the decision to release Worlds of Aria in Early 2024. We appreciate your understanding and hope youâre as excited as we are to finally bring the Worlds of Aria to life in a few months!
The music of the game
As you know, French composer/content creator MisterMV (Xavier Dang) was supposed to create some music for the game on top of voicing Belladonna, MicGivrey and Raoul in French. However, because of schedule issues, he will only be able to create the main theme of the game and do the voice-acting work.
However, we're very excited to announce that French composer Louis Godart will replace him to create the best soundtrack for the game.
You may have heard him in Pharaoh: A New Era or Blanc! And here's a small snippets of what you will be able to hear in the game:

To avoid getting caught as a mischievous possum, you need to pick your battles and know when to turn tail and run. While most scenarios call for the latter, if you managed to stumble upon a set of boxing gloves in one of the many treasure boxes scattered across the village you can bring the fight to the guard dogs.
With clear confidence and a route in mind, you can run straight up to any guard dog and bonk them on the head, making them temporarily dizzy and unable to track you. This gives you the perfect opportunity to grab a hard-to-reach snack or to slip into an especially defended area. Just make sure they donât spot you first when you attempt your bonking.
