It's getting closer to the end of the year, and I am starting to look at what to improve on Xmas Apocalypse. Since it's an extremely seasonal game my general idea was that I would provide new content every coming year, but for this year I want to do something bigger and overhaul a lot of the gameplay mechanics based on feedback that you have given me after release!
Everything I list after this are things that I want to be in the game, I cannot promise that they will be immediately in the 1.1.0 Update in November, but it is my intention to add all of this as I further develop the game. Any comments or suggestions that you have, please reply to this post or to the pinned Suggestions discussion.
Weapons
I want to implement different weapon handling and controls for each weapon, and also extend the list of weapons available. The plan is to make each weapon to feel unique and not just be a different version of the shotgun. Right now I'm considering to add a mini-gun and a grenade launcher, but I'm open to hear suggestions.
More enemies and a new map
I want to extend the duration of the current level beyond the 10 min mark. For that it needs more enemy variety and a few more bosses. Also I want to implement a second map with unique enemies to add a bit more variety.
New player characters
I'm looking forward to introduce new player characters to the game. I have some ideas that I will share at a later point. 🤖
Skip/shuffle or skill card refunds?
One of the complaints in the reviews has been that purchased skill cards on the skill tree are not 'refundable'. In my opinion the thrill of the game comes from not knowing which upgrades you can get this round and sometimes being stuck with combinations that you didn't plan to have that can still work out well. Having full control over which upgrades you can get each round will just lead to the same builds again and again which is not really in the spirit of the game. I do see though that there can be a middle ground. Maybe that each character gets a further stat of how many times you could skip an upgrade selection during a run if you don't like any of the offered cards, or a second shuffle to have a chance at something else. Another idea would be to have a selection screen at the beginning of the round in which you could activate or deactivate all available skill cards which I am hesitant to do though for the previously mentioned reasons. Admittedly here I would love to get feedback from you guys! So please let me know what you think
General improvements to the game
There are a lot of things that I want to have in the game that are more related to settings or the steam environment. Setting up some of these will unfortunately require to wipe everyone's save files which I deeply regret having to do, but it will lead to a more future-proof game experience.
Steam Achievements
Cloud Saves
Controller Support
Further languages beyond English (Suggestions? Japanese, German, etc?)
Again I want to emphasize that it might take longer than November to get all of these things into the game, but I'll do my best!
Steve here. After a lot of hard work from the team, we're delighted to finally announce that the long-awaited rework of Episode 2 "The Pool Party" has an official date of September 26th locked in on Steam. Check out the official trailer on our YouTube!
We want every episode of CK to live up to the expectations of our fans, and Episode 2 originally didn't quite hit the mark of what CK is supposed to be, so we've been working non-stop on reworking the entire episode from the ground up and we're confident that it's now one of our best episodes ever. So...
What's new?
As well as reworking what's already there, we've added in tonnes of new content for players to discover, including (but not limited to) new sex scenes, an expanded free roam, and more frat time with both the Wolves and the Apes! We've worked directly with the fanbase and their feedback to ensure that we've cut content that didn't fit CK, and I personally led the re-writing of the episode.
How will this affect existing saves?
A lot has changed in episode 2, if you load an existing episode 2 save now you will be placed at the beginning of the episode with your decisions from episode 1 intact. Loading an episode 3 save will give you the option to either start at the beginning of episode 2, or to continue from your save point in episode 3. New choices that can be made in the episode 2 rework will be set to default options if you just load episode 3. We recommend starting episode 2 fresh to experience the great new content, and to ensure that you're making choices that feel right for you!
Will it cost anything?
If you already own the Pool Party chapter then this rework is completely free. If you only own chapter 1, purchasing chapter 2 is required in order to access the reworked content.
Finally…
We want to thank our amazing fans for all of their feedback. With your help we were able to realize the full potential of Episode 2 and we can't wait for you all to dive back in on September 26th and see what we've achieved!
Join Community Manager Arciellia as she goes over the details of the upcoming September content! Join us on our Twitch.tv channel, Tuesday, September 5th at 2:00 PM PDT (5:00 PM EDT). As always, there will be giveaways throughout the stream.
Please note that we will take the demo down from Steam on September 15th, so if you want to play it now is a good time. It is still available DRM-free through our mailing list at our Website though! The demo will return to Steam at a later time, probably during future events.
Wind Elemental Magic 💨
We've just finished up the main functionality for the wind element for exploration! Instead of explaining what it does, it's best to see for yourself.
This spell will greatly expand your ability to explore around the world!
As you can see, this will be a very great spell for getting around the world! We're really excited to see how people use it in the full game. With any luck, it won't totally break everything! 😆 But if it does, we'll aim for it to be in fun and cool ways. 😉
Earth Elemental Magic 🗻
Next we're working on the abilities of the Earth spell, which can pull objects out from the ground, including treasures, platforms, and more. (Note: the bury graphic is a placeholder)

Thanks for tuning in for Steam Chronicle #17! Until next time, Joseph
This is a fan localization, so a big thank you to Yaroslav Sahach for your tremendous effort on going through, and translating, all the subtitles in INFRA!
To use the Ukrainian subtitles in INFRA, the language of Steam must be set to Ukrainian. This can be done by selecting "Steam", "Settings", "Interface" and then Ukrainian from the drop-down menu.
If you wish to continue using English subtitles in INFRA, you can right-click INFRA on Steam, select "Set Launch Options..." and type in "-language english".
On the other news, Obenseuer (former Open Sewer) complete overhaul is in playtesting phase, and you'll be hearing more from it in the near future.
