After having travelled the East and West of the United States during Season 3, the US Speed Tour is making a comeback in Season 8! This Season is bringing brand new events, new vehicles, a whole new playground, and more vanity items than you could shake a checkered flag at. Strap in for the Patch Notes breakdown!

Thanks to your feedback, we have worked to improve the consistency of the handling of vehicles in the same category. Since Season 5 with the Rallycross category, but also during the following Seasons on the Touring Car category. With Season 8, we are happy to announce that we are bringing a new milestone by rolling out handling improvements for all the vehicles in the Touring Car and Alpha GP categories that have not been updated until now.

Known Issues Below you will find a list of some of the current known issues.
Dashboards flash on the screen for a short time when being reloaded in-game.
“PSST Horn” is not correctly translated in Traditional Chinese language and debug text is present instead of the vanity name.
The wrong text is displayed for Season 8 Episode 2 events, displaying ‘Time Attack’ when races are against AIs.
The Season 8 Episode 2 events in their Endurance versions have the wrong short transition video with no sound.

We have rebuilt the Multiplayer system from scratch. This makes Multiplayer work much better, and can now fully invite friends to the game. Once the game has started, you can stream and invite friends to join via Steam Friends. Invite button has been added to your Steam friends, so you can quickly send invitations to Steam Friends. Create Game and Create Lobby now work much better. The Join Game function also works optimally now. Multiplayer continues to run on the Steam Server and requires players to create a Game and Lobby for Join Game to work for other players.

In today's devlog we will talk about guns and their role in our game!

These powerful items will be crucial to surviving the harsh wilderness and defending oneself against dangerous predators and rival prospectors!
Revolver weapons will be a staple for players who prefer close-range combat. These weapons will offer high damage and quick firing rates, making them ideal for taking out enemies at close range.
We are thinking to give players access to a variety of revolvers, each with its own unique stats and attributes but for now we got only one model available. Ultimately its not a shooter game ;) Speaking of - revolvers are small and easy to use so a lot of NPCs will carry them! So don't think of robbing everyone in your sight ;)

Quite a quote... i think one of the USA president said this.
For players who prefer to keep their distance, rifle weapons will be the perfect choice. (and also a bow!) These weapons will offer excellent accuracy and range, allowing players to take out enemies from a safe distance. Players will have access to a variety of rifles as well, each with its own unique stats and attributes. Some rifles will offer greater damage output, while others will be more accurate or have longer range.
Maintenance! Remember this mini-game from PRISON SIMULATOR? ;) Maybe it will make a come back ;) Of course, obtaining these weapons will not be easy (except a revolver maybe). Players will need to scavenge for resources, trade with other prospectors or traders, and complete challenging quests in order to obtain best weapons!

The quests update will take some time before it's fully released. This update will add a lot of new features and content. It will be released in several parts over the next 4 to 6 months. Expect to see the first part released in the next 6 weeks or so. This dev diary series will be published weekly to keep you up-to-date on what's being developed.
Obstacles
The core action game loop for Crash Override pits the player against a horde of glitches (mainframe corruption) in an ever branching series of connected areas. The player can collect weapon program upgrades, and key resources (like RAM, Data, and CPU fragments) to progress more easily.
The variation of play for each area is mostly due to the 27 different types of glitches, upgrade / resource drops, and the area randomization.
With the quest update, we'll see more variation in obstacles that can challenge the player. Here are just a few:

Subsystems
Subsystems are a way for players to affect or control obstacles they may encounter by way of a hack&/ (pronounced: hack and slash). Not all obstacles can be affected in this way.
Hack&/ Mini-Games
When an area is trapped there may be an access terminal in the area or nearby. Some entity types, such as glitches, may also have a subsystem that allows an access interaction. The player can interact with these access points to engage the hack&/ protocol. Hack&/ mini-games will allow the player to commandeer a turret, disable a trap, or even take control of glitches directly. The player character's Engineering attribute will determine how easy the hack&/ mini-game will be.
