Blood of Titans - Флавий Окулюс

We share the schedule for March so you don't miss anything!
Unmatched: Digital Edition - Glaree
Unmatched: Digital Edition has been released!
That's right! As of this moment, you can enjoy Unmatched: Digital Edition in its full version! Read below to see what has changed and what are our plans regarding this game in the future!

Two new characters and one map have been added to the game!
We would like to introduce to you Little Red and Beowulf as well as the Heorot - the new battlefield with an exciting mechanic! You are getting them as part of the base game - that means for free!

Little Red
Little Red features a clever card-combo mechanism. Matching icons on the cards she plays to the one in her "basket" (discard pile), triggers potent effects.

Starting Health: 14
Attack: Melee
Move value: 2
Sidekick: Huntsman

Special Ability: Resolve an effect on a card you play if the symbol next to the effect matches the item in your basket.
When your discard pile is empty, you have (wild symbol) in your basket.

1. Item in your basket when the card is on top of your discard pile.
2. Card effect available while playing the card, if its symbol matches the item in your basket.

Below you can see all the Little Red symbols:

Beowulf
Beowulf uses rage to power up his cards for devastating attacks.

Starting Health: 17
Attack: Melee
Move value: 2
Sidekick: Wiglaf

Special Ability: Beowulf can spend Rage for the effects of certain cards. Gaining Rage will trigger if Beowulf is dealt damage from any source, even from an ally. Icon of special ability in the player’s panel shows the current amount of Beowulf’s Rage:

Beowulf starts with 1 Rage.
When Beowulf is dealt damage, he gains 1 Rage.
Beowulf has a maximum of 3 Rage.

Heorot
Heorot is a brand new battlefield with the exciting door mechanism.

Doors are an additional element on the battlefield that fighters can interact with. Their number and placement depend on the map.

Doors can be opened or closed (the game starts with all doors open). When the door is closed, treat any lines crossing the door as if they did not exist. This blocks movement and attacks eliminates adjacency and breaks up zones. Two spaces that would normally be in the same zone are treated as if they are in different zones if there is a closed door on the shortest path between them.

More characters and maps are coming!

We are going to release a lot of DLCs - both heroes and maps - the first 2 comes in March!
You can get all of them as soon as they are released and with over 50% discount - just buy Season Pass! It's the best way to have a full experience of Unmatched at the best price possible!

Noita - Nolla Games
Squashed some bugs. Hopefully it's not a huntsman-spider-type situation, in which trying to squash the bug only causes it to release million tiny baby bugs.

In other news, Noita is 50% off at the moment. Hopefully that message will spread like a million tiny hämis babies. Now go forth my hämis babies and spread my message!

BUG FIXES
BUGFIX: Fixed a couple small issues with enemy behaviour
BUGFIX: Fixed a friend (Thank you Letaali)
BUGFIX: Fixed chainsaw lacking audio and causing a memory leak
BUGFIX: Fixed unkillable Kolmi
BUGFIX: Fixed a security vulnerability in the modding API

Virtueror: The Virtual Conqueror - vivaladev
Special post as this is about the usual monthly dev log, but also to announce the second alpha build of Virtueror.

New alpha build available

To be honest it's another pre-alpha build, but hopefully people who are going to try it will still appreciate the new features and improvements, which are all listed here and in the previous dev log.

Unfortunately there's no major update for the gameplay (hopefully that will come in the next build), but a lot of new minor features and improvements, hence the codename: "does it run better?".

As for the first build, if you want to try it join the Discord server of the game as that's where you can already find the links to download both the new Windows and Linux build.

Control areas
Now colored lines on the map highlight the area you control, which is based on your connected structures. Obviously the more you expand your base the bigger this area will get.

I will probably change the graphics of the lines in the future, but for now the important thing is this new feature is implemented and working fine.

In-game settings
Until last update it was only possible to access settings from the main menu, entering a dedicated screen. Now they are also accessible in game while playing a map.

News & updates dialog
I created a dialog in the main menu that will list all changes in new builds and eventually any kind of relevant news.
This might seem a secondary feature, but it's very useful to make early testers aware of changes from previous builds, especially when a build spreads over more than 1 month of development, hence more than 1 dev log, like in this case.

Minor updates
- Now all UI has some kind of sound effect associated to major actions like mouse over and clicks.
- Implemented new UI widgets: scrollbar and scrollarea.
- Video settings now allow to choose from 3 different video modes: borderless, fullscreen and window.
- Added map scrolling speed control in game settings.
- Fixed camera ending with an empty screen when scrolling diagonally.
- Several fixes and improvements in game library code
- Updated code of the open source repository on GitHub to the latest changes.

What's next
For next month I want to go back to focus on gameplay and AI development, something which I couldn't manage to do in the last few weeks.

I also want to try to solve all the weird tech issue the game has on Windows because until I do that I won't be able to release a public alpha and to access a broader audience.

I wish I could be more specific when talking about my future plans, but as now I work on Virtueror on the side of a day job it's hard for me to offer a detailed roadmap.

Check out next month's dev log to find out what I will manage to achieve during the next 5 weeks of development.

Support this game, wishlist and follow!
If you enjoyed this update and if you want to support Virtueror make sure to wishlist and to follow it. Thanks and see you in a month with a new update!

Last Holiday - Lakart
Hello everyone!

The development of Last Holiday continues and we have some news to share that might be of interest to players. One of the updates we are working on is the inclusion of the V3S poop truck and the voted Felicia and Skoda 100 cars in the game. These cars have been selected by the community and will be added to the game.

As we are also getting closer to release, we need to fine tune all aspects of the game beyond the basic gameplay. Over the past few weeks we have added achievements to steam that sometimes have quite interesting names and substance. Without spoilers, you can look forward to achievements such as Aquackman, HE'S TURNING!, He Who Does Not Play Does Not Live, and Point Master. Some of the achievements will require not only skill, but also a good dose of luck and time, so even collectors of these virtual awards have something to look forward to!

The second new feature will be more of a gamer's experience, and those who remember the legendary races in the GTA:SA series will not be disappointed by the village-style racing. It's not for nothing that they say that domestic DIYers can create anything, anywhere, and it's no different in Bzhany. Of course, the races won't have traditional horses and jockeys and we'll just hint that apart from the fat winnings from betting, the last racer will be quite hot.

Finally, we include a little teaser. As we're gradually approaching the second quarter of 2023, we're going to release another video preview of the game. So keep an eye on our social networks to make sure you don't miss anything!

American Truck Simulator - Dareus
A trucker’s journey consists of more than complex highways or wonderful nature, which is why there’s always the need to include numerous detailed cities and settlements in every additional expansion of American Truck Simulator to perfectly capture the whole "picture" of the local land. The upcoming Oklahoma DLC will be no exception, so today we will show you four of the cities that are arriving in the game with the Sooner State.

First up is Guymon with a population of about 12,000 people, which makes it the biggest small city that is located in the panhandle of Oklahoma. While in general, the city has a rich history and a strong community spirit, most importantly for us, the city's main source of business comes from large livestock farms and meat processing factories. Even though a local food factory may not seem like too much work at first glance, the entire area will provide to be a perfect starting point for your journey across Oklahoma.

Next, we have Enid, a city with a history closely intertwined with the expansion of the railway system in America. It’s no coincidence the city was originally supposed to be called Skeleton Station, but, well, let’s just say it sounds less catchy than as we know it today.

The city is surrounded by flat land and wheat fields, which is why a silo depot will most likely be your main place of visit when you will find yourself in the area. However, the city center is rich in landmarks such as a hospital, police and fire station, local school, and more.

Lawton is primarily known for its local Tire Factory for which we have created a brand-new depot (as shown in our previous New Industries blog). The factory is a significant part of the city's economy and the investments and state support are increasing every year. Moreover, the city is also home to a large paper mill, which we've added to the game as well. It's also worthwhile taking some time to see the interesting water tanks and churches in the area.

Lastly, we have Idabel, the smallest town in Oklahoma in the upcoming DLC. It is located in the southeast corner and the main point of interest for the players will certainly be the adjacent Sawmill. Additionally, it's worth a visit to see the Museum of the Red River, which is an unusually futuristic structure considering the local area. Other landmarks in Idabel include the fire station, hospital, high school, and water tanks.

And finally, we have some screenshots for you of the local settlements you will be able to pass through while cruising through Oklahoma. Can you guess which small towns are present in the following screenshots?

In conclusion, these cities and settlements will offer diverse experiences for players to enjoy. We can’t wait for you to check out the second part of this blog topic in the future and we’d suggest following our social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) to not miss out on any potential updates.
