Hello everyone! Hope your all had a great Christmas and New Year! Here's the state of the game right now:
CHAPTER 2
Development of Chapter 2 began a couple weeks ago, and it's going great! It will launch alongside the Multiplayer map soon! It's be more than double as long, packed with way more scary moments and a lot more creepy atmosphere, I think you all will really love it! I'll be doubling down on story, scares and atmosphere.

THE NEW MP MAP
The new MP Map began development a couple weeks ago too, and it's turning into something that makes the old map look tiny in comparison. The new map is OVER 30x BIGGER than the previous one, with multiple enemy types, behaviours and scares. It's basically a small sized open world map now. The new map is named "The City" and is an abandoned city. There are multiple enemy types and some fun twists and surprises throughout the map.
Every single aspect is improved, and it addresses all the core complaints of the last map. I really, really think you will all love it. The map is scheduled to release alongside Chapter 2, sometime soon. While you wait, here is the trailer:
Some areas in the game have been lacking, and bringing other parts down with it. In Update 2.00, I'll be addressing these things to help elevate the gameplay experience.

Controller Support
The new update will bring controller support! You'll be able to play the entire game with the controller of your choosing! Controller rebinding will come in a later update alongside key rebinding.

To be successful, a hotel needs to be profitable and provide high-quality services to the guests. All that while maintaining a positive reputation to attract more and more guests. In Hotel Renovator, we captured the essence of running a hotel by considering several economic factors without overly complicated bookkeeping.
The critical factor is obviously the income generated through the sale of accessible rooms. Room prices will vary depending on the quality of the finishing and furnishing, and the rate at which you sell available rooms will significantly impact your income. Rooms with a higher rating can be sold at a higher rate, but not all guests are willing to pay more for their stay. That means you must maintain a healthy balance to attract guests of all wallet sizes.
Expenses are as equally important as income. A successful business will only keep afloat if the income is higher than the cost of operation. With every new room, your water and energy expenses will increase, so you need to be sure that the occupancy of the hotel is high enough to cover them. The best way to save money is to do most of the repairs and cleaning yourself, but once your hotel grows in size, you will be tempted to hire room service staff and a handyman.
Providing a high level of customer service is essential for a hotel to attract and retain guests. Some factors contributing to customer satisfaction include the cleanliness of rooms and common areas, and the availability of amenities such as a swimming pool, a cafe and a restaurant. Finishing the rooms according to your guests' Style Suggestions will also impact satisfaction and grant extra bonuses. Customers may be more satisfied with their stay if their room is neighbouring one occupied by a VIP, but on the other hand, a noisy or dirty neighbour might be a cause of concern.
Last but not least is the hotel’s reputation. Just as in real life, reputation can significantly impact its ability to attract new guests. If you maintain an efficiently run and clean hotel with access to attractive amenities, your hotel will get a higher ranking. With each awarded star, you will unlock more and more features and items to make your hotel even more popular. Keeping a high standard of your rooms and taking good care of your guests will increase its reputation and allow you to get more income.
TLDR: The economy of Hotel Renovator involves balancing the need to generate income with the need to control expenses while also providing high levels of customer service and maintaining a positive reputation. Are you up to the task?

Today is the big day, after many months of hard work, we are finally ready to share with you first glimpse of Route 66 Simulator. The Playtest version is ready and starting today you will be able to test our game for yourselves. The amount of people wanting to test our game exceeded our expactions, so we have to somewhat limit the amount of players we can let in to test our game, but don't worry our game will be available for everyone on Steam Next Fest starting February 6th, so soon enough all of you will be able to play Route 66 Simulator.
Our whole team can't wait for you to test our game. Remember to leave us feedback after playing the game, either on Steam discussions page or by filling out the survey at the end of the Playtest.
