Another week and another entry into our logbook. Today we’re going to explore the steppes. Get ready to meet goblins and orcs! Stock up on water, sharpen your blades – and let's go!
Transitions between locations
We decided to update the transitions between locations, so very soon you’ll be able to feast your eyes on the scenic views during loading. Just look at the transition we've made for the Crimson Steppes!
Local gangs
We don't like sand that much; it's rough, hard, and unpleasant. It penetrates everything… But for these guys, it doesn't seem to cause any problems at all. But that’s no surprise, since they grew up here, and they know every oasis and every dune. Tumbleweeds give way to them when their paths cross. But maybe they aren’t as formidable as they would like to be? Come and get to know them if you dare!
Taking a breather in an oasis
Well, you should’ve taken more water with you, shouldn’t you have? Meeting with those orcs made you sweat so heavily that now there’s not a drop of liquid left in you! What is that looming ahead there? It seems to be a new oasis. You can definitely find cool, fresh water there. It's worth stopping and taking a break in the shade.
Healer Goblin
A new land and a new misadventure, oof. It seems that you caught some unknown disease. But don’t be afraid: if you meet this perky doctor on your way, he’ll definitely help you. But make sure to have enough gold with you, because medicine is never free!
⠀⠀⠀
Vanadis and her pets on some new card art
Vanadis’ deck keeps getting updated. Here’s what you need for the upcoming journey through the steppes. Surely this trio knows a lot about fighting the annoying goblins and serious orcs. You only need the right card.
⠀
We’re preparing for the next big update. Very soon we’ll provide you with a new version, but in the meantime, don’t forget to follow us on our social networks – there are many, many more interesting things there.

Fixed a bug that sometimes allowed you to start with more units than intended. Fixed a bug that could cause ranged units to get stuck under the lake. Fixed a bug that could cause the “choose units or spells” options to appear twice and overlap. Fixed a bug that could cause units to not attack the enemy in endless mode. Fixed a bug that could cause the teleport spell to get stuck on the portal icon, and not work anymore.
Misc:
Game over screen now displays your interest gold. Added a popup description for Pyromancer and Necromancer in the Power Up shop.
Imagine you sit down one day to play SokoChess but the black pieces don't show up. That's exactly what SokoChess White is about!
You'll be pushing pieces again but this time they will your own! Instead of there being an opposing side playing against you, there will be many more various obstacles, some returning from the original SokoChess.
Once again you can look forward to 70 handcrafted levels, new twist to the Sokoban and Chess formula and last but not least a good quality of life features with new and additional improvements!
We hope you enjoy our new game and are looking forward to hearing your thoughts. We are expecting to release the demo by the end of January 2023, so stay tuned!
We’re delighted to announce that access to the Yuppie update for Landlord’s Super is now available on Steam Early Access. If you have Landlord’s Super already purchased and downloaded on Steam, your game will update automatically. Otherwise, you can purchase Landlord’s Super Early Access here.
The Yuppie Update marks our arrival at Version 1.0 which sees the addition of the Yuppie class of tenant, the Harold’s furniture catalogue, caravan customisation, benefits system, crime & punishment systems, graphical improvements, gameplay changes and bug fixes.
Overview & full patch notes below:
YUPPIES & HAROLD’S FURNITURE
The final tenant has entered Sheffingham and is looking for the best digs in town. Build a property to suit their demands and fill it with all new furniture from the Harold’s catalogue to entice their application. Yuppies are rude, demanding tenants but when taken care of, they pay exceedingly well…
UNEMPLOYMENTS BENEFITS
“Slinging the lead, kid?” Whether you’re struggling for work, or injured yourself, you’ll be able to claim unemployment’s benefits and invalidity benefits by making a visit to your local Job Centre. Just be sure you’re not caught working while claiming…
CRIME, PUNISHMENT & PRISON
The local police station has finally opened up and Constable Gareth is looking to bring order to Sheffingham. Players will now need to answer for their petty crimes, including vandalism, benefit’s fraud and disorderly conduct. Players caught disrupting the peace may be issued a Penalty Notice, which they’ll need to pay off through community service or fine payments. Failure to address this notice – or repeat offenses – could result in players seeing the inside of a prison cell.
ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES
Lots more changes to the environment with this update. There’s a whole new police station, more suited to the small town vibe of Sheffingham. The flats in the distance have been rebuilt. Bridges have been redesigned to better reflect those found in the English countryside. Players will also notice parked cars are now dotted around the map, adding more visual flavour.
CARAVAN CUSTOMISATION
First impressions are important, and the old caravan was an eye-sore. We’ve decided renovating it ourselves wouldn’t make sense in a game that features interior decoration, so we’ve adapted the caravan to be fully customisable by players. Paint the walls, lay carpet, install furniture. Why not install a television to get the morning weather reports? It’s up to you!
4 NEW PROPERTIES TO PURCHASE
Players can now purchase 4 new properties from the Mitchell document in town. The properties are all in depilated states and require unique solutions to get back onto the market. Special thanks to JohnFister for creating these properties, if you’ve created a property that you think would feature well in-game, reach out to us and we’ll take a look.
RETIREMENT
The end-game state, retirement option, is now available. Retiring will remove the caravan, hoarding and skip from the environment, whilst allow players to live in the home they’ve built. Upon sleeping in a retired property, players will reach the end-game screen, summarising the motivations and themes of the game. Retirement isn’t permanent, though. Players have the option to return their property to the market, and resume living in the caravan.
