-Re-arranged tutorial events for a more natural progression of Woperator tutorials and Locked Chest tutorials -Tweaked event descriptions -Event tags now 'queue' if there are no slots left for events to show - this prevents an issue where unlucky players would miss tutorial tags because too many other events were occurring when the tutorial triggered -Added tutorial for gear structures
Bugfixes: -Fixed issue where the 'Swing tools 25% faster' perk would actually make tools swing 25% slower
Steam has a year-end awards thing, and apparently they let developers "suggest" a category for fans to nominate their game in. I looked through all the categories, and there's nothing that says "Destruction" or "Physics" in it, so there's only one category where Instruments really belongs, and that's in the Best Soundtrack category. I feel no shame in saying this because I didn't work on the soundtrack.
Auvic is one of my favorite musicians of all-time, and I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with him on multiple games. I first contacted him in 2018 to see if he wanted to work on Speed Demons after being a fan of his songs for years. He said yes even though I had very little to show of the game, and his song helped the reveal trailer for Speed Demons become the most popular video I'd ever posted on Twitter (up until the videos for Instruments, see below). That game eventually made it's way onto Apple Arcade, where it was featured multiple times for it's Outstanding Audio (Apple's words). I can say for sure it had nothing to do with the sound effects. His soundtrack for Speed Demons was sensational, and when I started working on Instruments of Destruction I immediately asked if he'd be interested in doing a soundtrack for it as well.
The soundtrack for Instruments of Destruction is amazing and massive, so it got split up into two albums on Spotify. It's on other places too, but I use Spotify and that's how I found Auvic many years ago:
[My personal favorites are Our Horizon, Manic Designs, and Risen Apparatus.]
Auvic is also responsible for the Instruments of Destruction theme song (along with the vocal talents of Pipo Fernandez), which you can hear in the Release Date Trailer below:
And this is an old trailer with the old visual style, but it features another song of Auvic's (a remix of Moonlight Sonata):
He's got tons of other varied and amazing music if you're interested in hearing more on Spotify, Bandcamp, and all the other music sites. And we're already working together on yet another game project! So yeah, *please* nominate Instruments of Destruction for best soundtrack.
We left Thither and traveled to Yon, the final of the 3 areas within Zybilna's fey domain. We're on the hunt for the final hag of the Hourglass Coven and the route to the Palace of Heart's desire!
This week's update to The Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaign brings two new adventures and adventure variants, as well as Tier 4 Blessings! It's time to dive back into the Feywild!
It appears there was a big issue with the asian languages in yesterday's update. At first we thought it was an issue with the translations themselves, but it turned out instead that it was a text rendering functionality that had a last minute modification that was acting up.
We sincerely apologize, and we hope this patch makes the game considerably more readable again for our asian players. Please do let us know, it's hard for us to tell since we unfortunately cannot read these languages.
Here's the complete changelog for this patch:
[LANG] Changed chinese translation for Ammo Max
[FIX] Missing degree symbols in codex
[FIX] Fixed an issue that was breaking multi-line texts in Chinese, Korean and Japanese, resulting in wrong and/or missing characters
[FIX] Fixed an issue with "Add X pieces" text that occured after switching between certain languages
Thank you all for your patience with us. As you can probably tell we are still very much figuring things out as we go. Maybe some day we'll know what we're doing haha. ^^'
I just invited a while bunch of new players to the playtest and released a new update!
Build 0.03 has been released into the playtest branch. This update includes:
A big balance pass to gaining XP and gold from battles. This is a first pass and I expect to tweak things as we go. Note that gold and XP gain for other things like events, quests, etc have not been added yet. Just focusing on battles and the overall cost of buying things.
Gold gain from winning battles.
Loot from winning battles.
Dragon XP for winning battles.
Crew and Captain XP for winning battles.
Costs for ships, ship upgrades, and captain and crew upgrades.
Level XP requirements for dragon, crew, and captain.
An update to the victory screen showing all of the above as well as faction changes.
Events respawn over time - right now there are two events, more on the way!
Added a compass in the overhead view.
Added functionality for the rename captain button.
Improved look of ocean when viewing ships in the Docks or Shipyard UI.
Updated starting breath weapons. Fire is unlimited. Others are 1 use per battle. This can be increased through gaining levels and spending skill points.
Updated all of the UI to use a slightly different look.
Removed ship repairing. Not sure if I am going to re-add this or not.
Thank you to everyone already participating in the playtest and welcome to all of the new folks! Looking forward to hearing your feedback!
Hello survivors, in this update we bring major improvements, such as new features, bug fixes, multiplayer advances, and more! Make sure to join our discord for any news. Also, right now Bromeliad is now 60% Off during the Autumn Sale until November 29th !! 🎁
First of all, we have completely redesigned the options menu, as we received a lot of feedback about it. Now the user interface will not move around with different resolutions, and all the changes are now better organized with also improving the save/ load of them.
Next up, we have fixed a lot of multiplayer bugs that we thought could impact the experience. Fixing sometimes the host losing their inventory, and clients not saving their positions correctly. We have also fixed the sleeping system in co-op, now you can sleep altogether to pass the hours into the next day. We have tested and improved some of the other player`s character lagging/ jiggling.
Then, we have been improving performance and memory management. Before when you looked at the more dense areas of the map there was a drop in the framerate. We have now managed to reduce this quite significantly, and the memory usage is not better optimized, meaning it should use less.
We have also implemented the dynamic log-based building system in a few more buildables. Now this system is also implemented in defensive walls. We also have been improving some tiny gameplay elements, such as introducing saving on cooking elements in the campfire, attack animation sometimes blocking, and flying fish. 👀
We know it's been a while, but there is finally some new content in The House. Introducing The 2nd Level. This level is still being worked on, so there may be some bugs to iron out and plenty of new areas still being developed to make this level rival the original in difficulty and size. Below is what you can expect in this new update.
NEW FEATURES
A new level. Search through the container yard to find a way to escape.
A new enemy. Something is lurking in the darkness. If you hear the roar, it's already too late.
ACHIEVEMENTS!!! Brand new achievements to unlock as you progress through the container yard.
Fixed a lot of bugs and made some major performance improvements.
That's all this time. Check back for next months update for a new area to level 2 just in time to ring in Christmas.
