Thank you so much for checking out the pre-alpha demo for The Time I Have Left! We originally planned to take it down as soon as Steam Next Fest ended, but we extended it for a while due to its positive reception. As of today, this demo will no longer be available.
We are very grateful to everyone who reached out to us. If you haven't done it yet, we would appreciate it if you could fill out our short feedback form. It really helps!
Can you guess the size of our team from playing the pre-alpha? You may think that it is bigger than it actually is. About 85% of the demo you have played has been developed by 2 people wearing multiple hats: Yite (Creative lead, art, animation, music, graphic, game design...) and Nitro (Technical lead, programming, game design, and marketing).
Everything else, as well as other things that are not directly part of the game's development, we owe to our friends and freelance partners. They have helped us with the story, additional programming, 3D art, UI, design, web, QA...and even legal. Without their help, we could not be here!
There are many things to improve, lots of content to add, and plenty of polish left to do but now the team is about to increase in size, so from now on you can expect the game to improve substantially! We will be working hard on making The Time I Have Left the best it can be!
Of course, you can still reach us and share your thoughts with us on both Twitter and Discord. We'll do our best to keep posting updates as frequently as possible.
Hey everyone, James here, Brand Community Manager at 505 Games and working on the upcoming tactical turn-based RPG, Miasma Chronicles.
It’s been a while since we’ve shared an update with you on Miasma Chronicles – and while we’ve nothing major to share – just yet – we wanted to give you an insight into the development of Miasma Chronicles, and who better to share this, than The Bearded Ladies themselves.
At Gamescom 2022, Mark Parker(Producer) and Halli Thormundsson (CEO), from The Bearded Ladies, sat down to answer some of your questions that we’ve seen floating around the internet since the announcement. Grab your popcorn, this one's a good one 🍿
We'll be sharing more info about Miasma Chronicles and the world soon, so keep your eyes on our social pages to be in the know.
See you soon

He made enough money to pay rent and support his mother. In the following years, Bob dabbled in gambling and ended up in a lot of debt. He found himself involved in a lot of risky jobs for some unknown contractor, which later turned out to be the mother of the Echo Killer - a soon-to-be-famous copycat serial killer. Echo Killer was eventually caught by the police with Bob's help - but Bob was seriously injured during his capture. It took a while, but once Bob recovered, he packed his bags and took his mother and left town.
In the early '80s, Bob moved to the East Coast, with the goal of becoming a new man. Someone law-abiding. He was no longer 'The Cleaner'. His mother's health was declining, so he took a job as a janitor in one of the local offices. He was missing something - he preferred the thrill of his previous job to this mundane existence, but he was doing this to take care of his mother.
After his mother passed away, Bob realised the life of a decent man just wasn't for him and through one of his contacts, Bob got back into work - this time for a drug lord. Bob spent the next few years drowning his sorrows before cutting ties with that part of his life - after one event in Miami where his paranoid boss wiped all of his own henchmen. He had asked his favourite wise-guy Bob, to clean up after him.
In the early 90s, Bob moved to NYC to do what he does best - cleaning. With an apartment in the Meatpacking District and a deal with Crawford & Simms Funeral Home to have as an "office", he got recognized by mob boss Don Reina. It was soon after this, he met the rest of the Serial Cleaners.
EA V0.56 is an update that focuses on sound effects. It also includes a few minor changes and bug fixes.
New sound effects
Coastline: By detecting the coastline with an algorithm, coastline wave sounds heard only on the coastlines.
Sea sound: Added sea sound that is only heard in areas where water is present.
Variable rain sound: Added dynamic rain sound, including the sound of rain falling into the water on the water, the sound of rain hitting the ground when close to the ground, and the sound of rain turning into a calm rain sound when the camera is far away from the ground.
New wind and bird sounds: Bird and environmental sounds are heard when close to the ground, and become distant wind sounds as the camera moves away from the ground.
Ship sounds: Added sail flapping, wood creaking, and water rippling sounds for ships, as well as the sound of movement while in motion.
Farm animal sounds: Added unique sounds for pigs, sheep and cows, each playing every 10-20 seconds.
Church bells: Added a church bell sound that will ring approximately once every 5-7 game days.
Muezzin: Added the sound of a muezzin calling the call to prayer in a mosque approximately once every 5-7 game days.
New tree planting
From now on, in manual or automatic tree planting, trees will be planted as seedlings and grow over time, instead of appearing out of nowhere. In addition, the possibility for workplaces and homes built in zone areas to plant their own trees has been increased from 50% to 75%.
Minor changes
Notifications have been moved from the center of the screen to the bottom right of the screen. This will make them less obstructive when there are too many notifications.
Bug fixes:
Fixed procedural forest creation not working when creating a new map in some cases.
Fixed an issue where the game would freeze when building a livestock that was too small and the spawn location of the animals could not be found.
Just a small update to let you know that SOLAS 128 won the Audio award at the Scottish Games Awards a couple of weeks ago! (I've been recovering from all the travel, so been a little slow on updating things here)
Super happy for Steven on Sound Design, and Jamesy on Music – they've got something to show for putting up with my nonsense.
