The Inspector - Domus
It's been a while, but don't worry, the development is proceeding well!

A lot of stuff going on in the past months, let's check together:

Tiny Teams

The Tiny Teams is a private event on Steam, curated by Yogcast. The payoff for this event is "Micro Studio, Massive Ideas", which perfectly fits with my game! I'm excited to be selected to participate in it!
The event starts on Monday and, for a week-long, the demo will be back, looking forward to your feedback.

Color of Indie

Color of Indie is a new Tik Tok event where you can showcase your Indie game. Is curated by the creator of Lost Ember. It was a super fun experience, we reach the final stage, but we didn't get the podium!

LappiSoft

I reached a point that the game lacks in some main points: save system, optimization, and marketing. I decided to ask for some help. Max, from LappiSoft, is the right person to assist me on this path. With his experience, we can reach a more polished final product, without losing the status of Indie Dev.

Game Mechanics
While the core game is the same, there are some new elements that slightly change the game experience.

Tutorial Screens

A series of panels will guide you discovering the main aspects of the game. One of the main issues with the last demo was understanding how the world of "The Inspector" works. I think, thanks to these screens, I fix partially the problem.

Binocular

The Inspector is a small exploration game. You need to find the memories to wake up your patients. But what happens if discovering memories is frustrating? I work on that and decided to insert special equipment, the binoculars, that helps you to recognize the memory's position.

Beacons

If finding memories were too hard, finding and deactivating beacons was too easy! So I work also on that. Now, prior to shutdown a beacon, you need to answer a specific question. You can answer to this question only if you have found the related memories. This thing prevents players from shutdown all the beacons before finding memories.

Laggy servers

The last update introduced unexpected lag and many problems to those who had updated their house interior. We tried to fix the object pop stutters and memory leaks by cooking the peaceable class so that it was faster to load in memory but took more space in memory. We thought this was fine because there were only about 100 max placeables on screen simultaneously. But this issue came up when running on the full server where each player used around 50% more memory on a server than previously and the server executable would eat 20 Gb of memory on the fully populated server. And because of this official Korean servers 1-3 lost their house placement data when we closed the servers to update them. We are sorry this happened and we will continue optimizing servers as we move towards bigger maps that require more computing power to run more AI and houses etc.

As of today, we are moving away from the Discord ticket system. Discord will still be used as a place to talk about the game, get help from the community and report bugs and meet new people. Press, Business, Hacker, abusive player and technical support reports will be done by filling the form in https://contact.uuvana.com/ and communicating by email.

  • New tacticals - Four new Tactical items are available at the Supplies vendor on the Republic and Imperial Fleets.
  • User Interface enhancements - To improve player experience, we’ve made changes to the Character Window, Weapons in Outfitter, and combat style icons, as well as added customization options to chat and subtitles.
  • Power Increase - New Item Ratings of gear have been added to Upgrade Vendors on the Fleet. Increase your power up to Item Rating 330 by completing Conquests, Flashpoints, and Legacy Operations. More information in this forum post.
  • Nar Shaddaa Nightlife - The Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event is back! Beginning with the launch of 7.1 through September 13th (12:00 PM UTC), test your luck at one of our casinos and earn the new High Roller Weapons!
Roots of Pacha - Marcos


Since last July, the team has been working hard to bring more depth and complexity to the Roots of Pacha experience and there’s still more to come!

New cutscenes
We continued to create cutscenes to breathe more life into our characters' stories, specifically Ibon, Jelrod, Touk, and Krak's. We want to make sure the moments you spend with these Pachans are special.



New expressions
We've also been working on portraits, specifically by adding a variety of expressions. Several of our Pachans can now blush, smile, be surprised, contemplate, and more!



New clothes
We adore fashion and the wide range of clothing choices in Roots of Pacha so we've developed an even greater variety of outfits. Each player can now play stylishly dressed in their preferred attire.

Keep track of what you’ve found in the world and what’s left to discover.



Jungle pyramid
You may remember some rumbling about a Pyramid in past devlogs. Well, we’ve given extra attention to it this time around, along with the jungle map. New mysteries will be revealed as a series of challenges are completed. But worry not, your clan is there to help you accomplish even the greatest of feats.

Vagrus - The Riven Realms - Lares Hill


Our team at Lost Pilgrims Studio is delighted to announce that we have been chosen for an ongoing event this week, which aims to showcase some of the smallest studios and their indie games. Called the Tiny Teams Festival, the event is run by Yogscast and will be covered online through both Twitch and YouTube. Several streamers who are involved in the event have requested keys to play Vagrus – The Riven Realms and naturally, we’re happy to comply. You can check out those streamers below:
