As previously announced, all of our games on Steam will be retiring on 28-Jul-2022 and will not be available for purchasing afterwards.
In addition, as per Steam requirement, all unredeemed product review keys / gift keys will need to be banned prior to the retirement of our games.
If you have ever received a free key from us for review purpose, we would like to kindly remind you to activate the key before 24-Jul-2022 as all outstanding keys will become invalid afterwards.
Please note that, for players who have purchased this game through "IndieGala Wednesday “Doodle Heroes” Bundle – February 28" back in 2018, your keys will not be banned.
However, if you have acquired a key in any alternative ways (that might be leaked), we also like to remind you to activate your key prior to the above date.
Thank you again for your support and understanding.
Hey everyone! We’re still hard at work to hopefully be bringing you more content soon and get back on track with showing off all our hard work. For this month's update, as promised with our last update, we have some new and improved art to show off to you all today.
The Space Van
You may remember in the opening sequence of the game where you fly in on your spaceship, landing on your new homeworld. Well, as a refresher, here’s what your spaceship looked like previously: Also a quick reminder as to what the inside cabin of the spaceship, where you would buy and sell stuff on Deliverzon, looks like as well:
After doing some work for our 3D lighting system, here is what your spaceship looks like now! As well as what the upgraded interior looks like 👀
While talking about the space van, if you would like to vote for the new official name of it, head over to our Discord to submit your vote!
Aaron’s lander
We’ve also been making progress on upgrading the look of the rest of the beginning of the game, like when Aaron joins the colony! Here’s a look at what the lander and the lander's interior looked like in our old beta:
Just like the space van, while working on the 3D lighting system, it got a very nice upgrade!
Sneak Peak
Here’s a quick look at some concept art that our team has been working on as well! What do you think these are for 🤔
Don't worry if you think the game will be entirely 3D now. It's not! It will still be a 2D experience. The 3D look is just to add in our 3D lighting! We plan to have even more to show you next month! This is only the beginning of all the awesome upgrades that we have to show you all. In the meantime, join our Discord if you haven’t already!

This update adds the ability to save and exit a run between stages. Just hit the menu back button (B on an Xbox style gamepad or backspace by default) at the salvage and fitting menu, and you can save the game and return to the main menu. When you have a save loaded, the option to start a new run is replaced with the option to resume the saved run. You’ll load back to the salvage menu with your loadout, score, salvage and resources all intact.
Additionally, some of the weapon balance has been slightly tweaked, some of the sound levels have been changed a bit to hopefully stand out when they need to, and some impact particles have been updated.
Finally, there is some new boss music for players who can make it to Jupiter.
Next update I will focus more on ships, bosses, and balance.
I’ve heavily nerfed the LOD’s for foliage and converted the landscape to runtime virtual texturing in order to improve FPS. The trade off is the game doesn’t look as good as it did but at least it’ll run smoother. This will be ongoing work to find a balance between performance and visual quality.
Again, I’d appreciate any further feedback and information on performance issues because as an indie dev it’s hard to do a lot of testing on older GPU’s and systems. If you’re having problems with performance i.e. low FPS, stuttering, crashes etc then please come into the discord or steam discussion forums and give me your system specs and details on how the game runs for you so I have some more data to work with. Feel free to just dm me if you don’t want to talk publicly. Thanks
Our Design Team took a stylish approach to immersive characters and settings for the Summer Medleyfaire. Whether you prefer pirates or musical themes, every aspect of this celebration radiates summer fun. Let’s explore some of the team’s concept art, inspiration, and challenges.
SUMMER MEDLEYFAIRE
“The main inspiration for the Summer Medleyfaire came from modern music festivals,” said Concept Artist Andy Lee. “We wanted bright and colorful palettes to represent the excitement of summer and leaned heavily on coastal or beach motifs like bonfires, tiki torches, and grilling.”
“Overall, the creation of the environment and its various components were fun to create. There weren’t too many challenges. One of the main discussions we had when concepting this area was how we were going to take the modern idea of a music concert and fit it into a period location with more fantastical elements.”
BARNACLES & BLACK POWDER
ADMIRAL BRUTE
“For the Admiral Brute, I was aiming for a character large and grizzled that was taken over by the sea a long time ago,” said Concept Artist Allison Theus. “One of the challenges of this design was finding the right ratio of human to creature pieces in the shapes while maintaining a compact, weighty silhouette.”
THE MAELSTROM SIREN
“For the Siren, I was going for something enigmatic and deep sea feeling, and was inspired by various corals and arthropods with a bit of fish influence,” said Allison. “The main challenge here was figuring out which family she belonged to and how that translated to the shape language in her design. We wanted her to read clearly as an Angry Earth creature.”
CONCEPT ART
The Design Team also shared some additional images that provide insight into the development of the Summer Medleyfaire Event’s mood, colors, and various set pieces.
