Today, aside from a major bonus for the first victory of the day in the PvE mode, we’ve prepared the following items for you:
Type 99A2-140 Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank
Hunter Tier 9 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle
Pindad SBS Tier 8 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle
K1A1 Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tank along with Korean camouflage
Type 90 Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tank along with Japanese camouflage
Pile of Gold Loot Crate (with new Key mechanics)
Between April 28 and May 5, 2022, the following items will be available:
Type 99A2-140
The Type 99A2-140 is an experimental version of the most advanced Chinese Main Battle Tank in existence – the Type 99A. Unlike its production counterpart, however, it is not armed with a 125mm smoothbore, but massive 140mm smoothbore cannon. This is a theoretical upgrade to the vehicle – while the People’s Republic of China was considering upgrading the firepower of its Main Battle Tanks to face latest western and Russian MBT models, a 140mm gun was never installed on this chassis and was only mentioned in passing by certain Chinese sources. Now, however, your enemies will have the opportunity to experience what such a vehicle with you in command would be like to face in battle!
In Armored Warfare, the Type 99A2-140 is a rather unique Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. It is essentially a version of the progression Type 99A2 Tier 10 MBT with one difference – the 140mm gun, trading its rate of fire for penetration and single shell damage. It is very fast and mobile (with its maximum speed being well over 90 km/h), protected by ERA and APS both and capable of using an acceleration-boosting active ability that pushes its engine far beyond the limits of common Main Battle Tanks. If used right, the vehicle is extremely deadly and one of the best Tier 10 MBTs on the battlefields of Armored Warfare.
The Type 99A2-140 MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.
Hunter AFV
Another alternative name for this vehicle is NGAFV (or Next Gen AFV), since it belongs to a whole program to replace the obsolete M113 APC in Singaporean service and to operate alongside its predecessor, another indigenous Singaporean IFV called Bionix. Hunter is the name of the production model of this program. The Hunter AFV is the pinnacle of bleeding edge of technology. In this sense, it can be compared to the AS21 Redback and both vehicles share several characteristics, not the least of which being relatively large size. This bulky IFV offers considerable levels of protection and firepower. It is expected to serve in the Singaporean army in large numbers in the near future with its mass-production having recently begun. You can read more about its history in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the Hunter AFV is a Tier 9 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. As its description above suggests, it is a rather standard-sized IFV with good levels of protection and excellent firepower (consisting of a 30mm autocannon and a Spike ATGM launcher). It also features a recently introduced type of armor, NERA. Simply put, NERA is an ablative armor kit that deteriorates whenever it gets hit. In other words, the vehicle starts with excellent protection levels but it will lose some with damage taken as the battle progresses. Apart from that, the vehicle is adequately mobile and quite universal. It can, of course, also deploy Mechanized Infantry.
Pindad SBS
The SBS platform is one of the first domestic armored vehicles developed by Pindad (the largest Indonesian armor producer) for Indonesia and is officially listed as a “light tank”. It was developed sometimes in the early 2010s with some prototypes in different configuration appearing in public in 2014 or so. The variant in the game is a long-range MLRS fire support vehicle with a 122mm multi-barreled rocket launcher. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the Pindad SBS is a Tier 8 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. This AFV is fairly unique, since its main weapon is a multi-barreled rocket launcher capable of firing over obstacles. This makes the Pindad incredibly powerful in both offense and defense. Static enemy targets stand no chance! This vehicle is best used with Commander Ophelia Kitescu and in a platoon – the firepower of such a formation is truly without equal.
K1A1
The K1A1 is an upgraded version of the older South-Korean K1 MBT. It’s a very distant relative of the Abrams MBT with the main difference being the presence of a hydro-pneumatic suspension, allowing the vehicle to tilt itself forward, backward and to the sides.
In Armored Warfare, the K1A1 is a Tier 7 Premium MBT. The combination of a 120mm gun, good mobility and solid armor (all of them roughly the same as the M1A1 has) as well as the ability to mark enemy targets for increased damage make it powerful opponent even in its basic form with additional upgrades readily available.
The K1A1 is also available in the South Korean bundle, which contains:
K1A1 Tier 7 Premium MBT
Korean camouflage
Korean "Squad Leader" decal
You can learn more about the Korean camouflage in our dedicated article.
Type 90
The Type 90 is the current service main battle tank of the Japanese Self-Defense Force. On the outside, it vaguely resembled the German Leopard 2, but inside, the vehicle’s completely different. It was adequately armed and armored for the time it was developed in, but what made it really stand out were its cutting-edge Japanese electronics and its hydraulic suspension, allowing the tank to tilt itself forward or backward, enhancing its gun elevation and depression beyond what the turret would normally allow. This trait was considered to be an important for Japan, as much of its landmass is covered by mountainous areas. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the Type 90 is a Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tank. Gameplay-wise, it resembles the Leopard 2 and Abrams version of the same Tier. The difference between the Leopard and the Type 90 MBT lie in the presence of an automatic loading mechanism – otherwise, the firepower and protection levels is roughly the same with the Japanese tank having a little less armor, compensated by more module hitpoints. Overall, it is not the best-protected MBT on the battlefield, requiring careful long-range gameplay. However, the advanced electronics installed in this tank as well as its hydraulic suspension allow it to aim faster than all its class and Tier counterparts.
The Type 90 is also available in the Japanese bundle, which contains:
Type 90 Tier 7 Premium MBT
Japanese camouflage
Two Japanese decals
Japanese red flag
You can learn more about the Japanese camouflage in our dedicated article.

Starting today, we’re implementing a new mechanic to the MY.GAMES Market Loot Crates (no worries – the in-game crates will remain the same). The mechanic is simple – instead of purchasing the Loot Crates, you purchase keys to them, which you then use to unlock them.
However, please note:
Discounts do not apply to Loot Crates, but rather to Keys
It is possible to buy multiple keys for a single chest type
Keys belong to individual Loot Crates (that is, a key to a Commander Loot Crate purchased now is not guaranteed to work on a Commander Loot Crate a month down the line)
Keys can be found in a separate Market section
We hope that you will enjoy the offer and, as always:
Hey vampires! I know you’re all used to us delving into the shadowy mysteries of game development, but today is all about building up. Join us as we lay the foundations for the symbols of any great vampire’s status.
The Castle; Your Home, Your Heart, Your Soul
The idea of the home is vastly prominent in vampire mythology, the epic presence of their manor looming above a sleepy little village. In a genre like survival games that focus on the shelter, it’s a natural fit for a vampire twist on the genre to use the concept of the vampire palace. We get to lean into that fantasy and provide players with all the tools they need to make a home that can be grand, majestic, but also compelling in its function.
A nice and foreboding entrance.
In V Rising, castles are intimately tied to progression. The central foundation of your court is called the Castle Heart(long time readers may recognize it as the ‘Blood Well’ from back in Dev Blog #6), and it will serve as the foundation of the stronghold. As long as blood is pumping through the Castle Heart, crafting and production stations will be working to provide everything needed to empower yourself for your dark escapades.
If it seemed like you would be a regal dark overlord hammering away at a hunk of metal and sawing at wood to make your own swords and crossbows, think again! Simply create workstations, drop the materials, and give the word. The castle does all the work, using the dark magic of blood craft to weave together deadly weapons, mix alchemical marvels, and stitch together armors and capes to the perfect measurements.
See? No hands.
No matter what the adventure in the world of Vardoran it will always lead back to your domain. The place to return to store the loot and have it made into valuable tools to rise in power. When you die, you return to your coffin to shake off the grave dust and plan for devious revenge. It’s a safe place to share with fanged brothers and sisters and revel in victories after a long night’s hunt.
Raise the Walls
The castle's heart does more than just power crafting stations; it also defends them. It’s a living, though perhaps not breathing entity. While nourished, it will provide extra layers of protection, making it more difficult for other vampires to attempt to breach the defenses and get to all of your hard-won valuables.
When the Castle Heart is well-fed, other vampires will find it challenging to get in. As long as it’s secured and fortified, it should take some extra effort for someone to break through. Castles will heal themselves over time if they prove unsuccessful or do minor damage. Unless the enemy can do a lot of targeted destruction over a short period, it will be like they never tried to attack.
When a Castle Heart is well-fed, it will be tricky for other vampires to breach your walls. It takes a resource-costly and targeted attack to break down even a single wall. If they can’t get through all the layers of defenses and are forced to retreat, it will be reasonably easy to repair– and more than that, any unbroken walls will heal themselves over time.
Don’t worry, repairing statues and braziers is free.
The amount of dedicated resources and focus it takes for an enemy vampire to break down even a single wall or door means that when they get inside, it discourages them from destroying anything they don’t absolutely need to. All of the hard work constructing the palace of your dreams won’t be so easily undone, and recovering from a successful raid won’t mean cleaning up too much wreckage.
So invest in your estate! Build it big, build it strong, something to be proud of! Dedication will be rewarded. Those who don’t may suffer consequences, however. Ignoring the castle is like neglecting any other living thing and may lead to decay. When the blood runs dry, it will lose those protections, and those mighty walls will crumble over time. While it is sad that a home will be lost, it will be good for that precious real estate to be taken up by another, more responsible vampire.
Breathtaking decay.
Make It Your Own
What is a vampiric acropolis if not a statement of status? We are creatures of the night and proud of it. We take great pride in showing off our opulent status as the apex predators of Vardoran, and there should be no shame in showing off your unique brand of nobility. For this reason, we thought it essential to give plenty of options to tailor the manor to your taste.
From the doorway to the throne room are many opportunities to display a sense of respectability and style. Boast the finest archways in all of Farbane, the most glorious gallery in Silverlight, or the lushest garden in the fertile hills of Dunley. Line your coffin’s chamber with tinted windows and lush drapery. Roll out the red, amethyst, pristine white, or pitch-black carpeting. Line the walls with torches and braziers that burn bright with every color under the sky.
What kind of castle do you want?
Maybe you want to take all of these tools and craft a library from which to gather all the dark secrets of the continent. Create the perfect prison for the most precious human pets. Perhaps make a grand dining hall to meet with clanmates and discuss the brood’s next conquest, or maybe you’ve taken a liking to necromancy and want to construct a vast graveyard filled with skeletons, ghouls, and other horrors.
With the ability to easily rearrange the placement of workshops and decorations, with just a flick of the wrist, it’s easy to expand and craft the perfect palace for your unique seat of power. With all the options available, the only actual limit is your knowledge and imagination. We look forward to seeing what our players will be capable of when they sink their teeth in.
Populating Your Castle
One could imagine those vast halls and chambers getting a bit lonely, and it might be difficult for the eternal to find worthy companions. So why not acquire some servants? Through the magic of, well… magic, an adequately educated vampire can go out into the world and hunt for good help. After wearing down their prey, they’ll be able to bend their will and order a properly enchanted human back to their castle. After bringing the freshly charmed thrall home, it comes time to make an important decision.
The charming process, name entirely metaphorical.
From here, there are a few options. If this particular human seems like a uniquely tasty treat, a vampire might choose to place them in a prison cell to keep as a prisoner and snack on periodically. Keep your prisoner happy enough, and you may even be able to feed on them more often, and if they have some sort of beneficial blood type that might come in frequent handy, you’ll be able to have it on hand whenever you want it.
We put up drapes to make them comfortable.
Alternatively, maybe you need a helping hand. For this, simply lower that freshly gained pawn into a servant’s coffin and allow them to suffer the sweet agony of undeath and eternal servitude. Maybe it would give peace of mind to have someone waiting at the base to deal with any intruders that manage to sneak in, or perhaps you’re sick of having to suffer the indignity of going back to Farbane to gather copper ore when someone else can do it for instead! Command servants from your throne to carry out missions, gathering materials without having to lift a finger or dirty those regal hands.
Arise, champion.
Thralls provide another dimension to the castle, a sense of activity and unlife that adds to the feeling of being a dark overseer, commanding the lessers to further their evil goals. In V Rising, we want our vampires to have that. To, in some small way, roll out the red carpet and hand over the tools required to live the vampire dream.
And so…
Let’s raise our glasses to the mighty castle, vampires! Cheers! The palace, stronghold, manor, estate, and home. Whatever you call it, they are the steps that we ascend. As you build it into the perfect seat of power, it will make you into the vampire worthy enough to sit at it.

This week's release is special! Two complimentary packs that recreate monsters with the same names, but completely different designs! One for Front View, and one for Side View (Though many can be used for either!) So let's look at the P. KONEKO Monster Design Packs!
Give your players some new fearsome foes and enthralling enemies to battle against with two packs this week: P. KONEKO Monster Design FV and P. KONEKO Monster Design SV! Parabyo Koneko. created these packs using a painted style to bring some incredible enemy ideas to life. With 37 enemy types in each pack to choose from, get ready to battle against banana slugs (emphasis on the banana), moon-devouring wolves, and musicbox mimics in the FV pack and pink bunny slugs, demonic three-headed wolves, and a decidedly UN-happy meal burger mimic in the SV pack!
The FV and SV packs share the same naming conventions for each battler, but put their own spin on them! The FV dragon’s red scales and six-limbed design are reminiscent of European dragons while the SV dragon’s serpentine body bursts from the ground as its extra eyes search for its next meal. Have your fantasy heroes face off against the FV dullahan who wields a spinal cord whip from horseback, or send your heroes to a steampunk or more modern world with the SV dullahan who rides a magic-powered motorcycle! The FV and SV taur enemies switch which body parts are monstrous with the FV being a bull-headed minotaur and the SV a green-furred centaur, and even the most common of enemies, slimes, have their own unique looks! Battle the FV slime in the field where its bulbous body that holds a small heart inside can bounce along the ground, and find the SV slime (in an adorable gummy bear form) in a magician’s tower where it escaped the bottle where it had been imprisoned! With other enemies such as skeletons, fairies, merfolk, dragonewts, and even satan, you’ll be sure to find fitting foes for all over your game’s world!
Each battler comes in three sizes: normal for smaller resolutions or common mobs, big for larger resolutions and boss monsters, and the original size (which is the largest so that you can shrink them down to perfectly fit your battles). And if having three different sizes to choose from wasn’t enough, each pack also includes an arrangement folder where you can find each battler split into separate parts for its body, effects, and shadow so that you can tweak it to better fit your vision! Want to have an extra option where the FV mimic chest doesn’t have coins and drool spilling out of its mouth? Then leave off the effects image. Or show that you’re facing off against the SV lesser daemons high in the sky by removing their shadows! So if you’ve been searching for some new monsters for your heroes to face or just love seeing an unusual style to kickstart your brainstorming session, check out both P. KONEKO Monster Design Packs!

Hey all, we’ve got a little announcement ahead of the patch this Friday (tomorrow).
As we wade through Early Access and towards full launch, we’ve decided to retire future purchases of the Super Pack. We’d like to give a massive thanks to everyone in the community who picked it up, and assure those of you who have it that we will continue to support those purchases and you will continue to get Troopers as they are released. For us, the Super Pack was something special for our early players to reward them for starting the Super Squad community, sticking with us, and providing us with feedback, laughs, and copious bug reports!
The Super Pack will be removed from our in-game store on Friday the 29th of April, but will remain available for purchase on Epic and Steam until the end of the 13th of may.
If you’ve read our previous dev journals, you perhaps remember that we held our first internal playtest session at the beginning of January, with the help of our dear colleagues at Ishtar Games. Following the analysis of their feedback and data, we decided to make quite a few changes in the game, and have been working on refining our existing features as well as adding some new ones ever since. And today is the day we can finally show you a preview of some of these changes!
One Villager to rule them all…
Matthieu, Creative Director of Lakeburg Legacies, has decided to completely change the pace of the early game. Instead of starting with a dozen villagers of varying ages and profiles, the player now starts playing with one single character and their Woodcutter’s Lodge, and has to build the town of Lakeburg and make its population grow from there. In order to keep things interesting and well-paced, it was necessary to completely rework some pre-existing systems and add some new ones… 👀
The Dating System
One of the main issues our playtesters encountered was that their attempts at setting up their villagers often kept failing. Some of them even couldn’t make their population grow for lack of suitable partners, and were doomed with seeing their village slowly wither and die… 😅 That simply wouldn’t do!
In order to solve this problem, the Game Designer of Lakeburg (Chloé) entirely reworked the Dating system making it much easier to understand.
After the player has selected one of the available singles of the village, Tindra the Fortune Teller 🔮 will introduce them to potential suitors from out-of-town, and help them figure out if they would be good matches. Manon (Art Director) has really enjoyed creating this interface, while Simon (Lead Programmer) did his magic and has given it life!
Finally, now that the player has selected the right partner for their villager and has got the opportunity to learn more about them, the couple is going to start dating. If all goes well, they will marry after some time, and the suitor will join the people of Lakeburg! 💒
The Recruitment System
Another way to increase the village’s population is the newly-brewed Recruitment system! From time to time, the player will have the option to recruit a character from out-of-town, in exchange for Gold. Our Game Programmer Frédéric has implemented a pool of characters from which this system will draw from in order to regularly offer new characters. By looking up information about these potential additions to the village’s workforce, the player can easily ascertain who will best meet their needs!
The School
The people of Lakeburg attaches a lot of importance in educating its youth. Workers in the School building serves this purpose perfectly by boosting all children’s intelligence, which in turn results in faster learning when they’re put under the guidance of a mentor. Justine (Game Artist) has summoned her best memories from her elementary school years when drawing this background. 📚
New names for the Villagers
When she’s not wreaking havoc in Lakeburg through the events she’s writing, or masterfully managing our localization kit, Ambrune (Narrative Designer) enjoys adding new smaller content to the game. Lately, she’s been hard at work diving into lists of medieval baby names and expanding our names and surnames database in order to make sure our villagers will be as varied as possible!
Aaaaand it’s a wrap! We’re very proud of the direction Lakeburg Legacies is taking, and we hope you’re as excited by the newest additions as we are! 🔥
