IN-GAME LIGHTING AND SEASONS

Farm Folks will have super duper awesome lighting systems that will allow us to have dynamic weather conditions along with breathtaking views - all of which are going to be very different from season to season. Expect very romantic experiences with NPCs like dinners that will take place at the hill cliffs during sunset.





Unlike in other farming life sim games, Farm Folks will have a continuous day/night system that will let you continue managing and/or building your farm - even at night. Your character will have the stamina that will allow them to continue their journey for several days at a time.











Things like wind, rain, or snow can also start dynamically and will have different lengths based on the current season in-game. You’ll be able to check the weather forecast on your laptop or TV. We will talk more about the forecast system in our future updates. Make sure to sign up for our updates so you don’t miss it!

HAIRSTYLES AND CUSTOMIZATION

In Farm Folks, we’re planning to have a great set of various hairstyles to choose from and, of course, you’ll be able to customize the color of the hair. We’re also planning to add a Hair Constructor to the game which will give you absolute freedom over the haircuts you would like your character to wear. You can unlock unique hairstyles in the saloons of the Portorovigo Town located on Softsholl Island. We will talk more about Local Shops in the future.













REAL-TIME HAIR PHYSICS

In addition to beautiful, custom hairstyles, we’re also revising our animations to ensure your hair - and every other character detail - looks soft and organic. We’re adding real-time physics to your character’s hair which means it will bounce and sway based on environmental conditions like wind.



FISHING

What farming game is without fishing? The waters in Farm Folks are going to be filled with fish and other discoveries. Each fish will have a rarity level, ranging from Common, Rare, and Epic variants. You can cook, trade, or even farm caught fishes. Yeh you read it right, you’ll be able to have your own fish farm!

ISLAND AND CONSTRUCTION

For the last few months, we were working on our first island. This initial island is designed to give us maximum information from the closed tests as it has a diverse landscape. Unlike in other farming games, our goal is to give you the ability to build your structures wherever you want - be it on open ground, hills, the beach, or even against mountain cliffs. We will talk about the construction process in our next update.














NEW NPC IS ON THE WAY

A brand new and super dateable NPC is about to be revealed! We’re finalizing their story and will showcase them within the next few days. There is a high chance that if you’re a VIP or Legendairy FanClub member, you already saw this upcoming NPC (so please remain silent, or else :D)!

Meet Adam, an insanely talented technical artist, and Bruno and Camila, a husband/wife team working on beautiful concept art and character development. Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 Playtest - Liquidsnake
Hello Dear Players,

We are aware of some major issues that occuring in the game right now and we are working hard on fixes for the most important of them. Below is a list of items we want to repair first and the estimated time of fixes:

Profiles and progress in the game - average time to fix: 2 - 3 days
Some players reporting about losing progress after they exit the game.

Chat issues - average time to fix: 2 - 4 days
After few minutes on map the chat is going offline, additionally the weight of the fish from other players is displaying incorrectly - these are no cheaters, it's problem with the text itself.

Rankings - average time to fix: 2 - 4 days
There is an issue in rankings with displaying incorrect results.

Additionally some other stability and functionality issues.

We are very sorry for any incoveniences and thanks for your understanding.

Hey everyone!

Back again with the next update. This one contains some very upfront changes, a bunch of new additions, fixes, and other tweaks throughout the game.

Font rendering has gotten a complete rework which resulted in much better readable text, especially at lower font sizes.
A lot of people were having trouble reading the default old pixel-y font, so I have decided to make a new font the default one. The old one can still be toggled on in the interface settings if people prefer it.



It is now much easier to follow what your settlers are doing, as it will tell you when you hover over them and in the settlers menu.
I have a lot of plans for settlers, including reworked happiness and skills. Settler equipment is still first on the slab, but if it's going to be more than just cosmetics, other things need to be in a better place first. Raids specifically are hard to balance with the dynamic between the power of the player and the settlers. More on that in the section below.



As you can imagine, I have found it is very hard to balance raids, so I made another revisit to them. Either they are too hard, or too easy and just an inconvenience.
This time around, both settlers and raiders have gotten quite a big boost in power. This ultimately just makes the player less powerful, with the goal of making you fight along with your settlers rather than just wiping them out all by yourself.
Raids are of course going to keep getting updates and balance tweaks to make them more integrated into the game loop and fun, so I will be keeping a close eye on these changes.



Some of the other features in this update include:
  • A new vibrant color in graphics settings.
  • New modes to limit settlement storage max items.
  • Minecarts and better generation of them in caves.
  • More particles when hitting trees, objects and tiles.
  • New standardized settler room requirements for all settlers.
  • A new ability trinket, found early in forest caves.
  • Balance tweaks throughout the game.
And a bunch of other smaller changes and fixes!

Raiders later projectile are now much faster, can fire from further away and predicts player movement.
Settlers are now much stronger and faster at reacting to new targets.
Raiders now have more health and damage, making it much harder to clear them without your settlers help.
Banner stands now no longer have a collision box.
Sleeping health regeneration is now higher the more max hp you have.
Animal Keeper is now available to recruit after having defeated the Void Wizard.
Items left in the crafting guide will try to be inserted into inventory before being dropped.
Increased damage of spider and frost boomerangs.
Increased projectile velocity of Wood Staff.
Increased nearby crafting radius from 6 to 9 tiles.
Changed Waystone tooltip to be more intuitive.
Made settlement buff say settlement flag nearby instead of just settlement nearby.
Summon weapon enchantment modifier tooltips are now more clear in what they do.

Picked up items will now prioritize pouches that already have one of the items in it when having multiple possible pouches.
Changing rooms now triggers an update on settler happiness right after.
It is now possible to remove a bound key in controls.

Fixed some objects not getting snapped to by smart mining, like gravestones.
Fixed pawned items not counting in items sold and money earned stats.
Fixed hunter arriving at settlement not being able to be recruited early on.
Fixed some cases where settlers would not obey their restrict zones.
Fixed settlers sometimes hauling items unnecessarily.
Fixed loot being able to be dropped outside the map.
Fixed rooms getting invalidated and showing unknown error.
Fixed some projectiles not properly disposing of their trail.

Brothers! Closed beta version is already available for everyone who owns the game!

Please note that the version may not have translations into other languages. There will be a lot of strings in Russian.

  • Mission: “Volonta La Libertate” – Fixed Sergey giving the clues in the wrong order.
  • Mission: “Broken Chains” – Delete a misleading lead instructing players to call Mei Ting when they shouldn’t.
  • Made the background music at the White Mare and Haiphong Club changeable via the music volume slider.
  • Multiple localisation corrections.
