Harvest Days: My Dream Farm - Family Devs
Hello community,

December is here! During this month the Harvest Days Pre-Alpha will be available on Steam.

In this video we want to share with you the official date of the Pre-Alpha: 14th December 2021.

Would you like to join the pre-alpha?

If you supported us on Kickstarter with the reward tier "Alpha Harvester Pack" or above, you’ll receive your Steam key by email.

But... What happens if you didn't back us on Kickstarter?

No problem. Together with our publisher Toplitz Productions, we are working on setting up a pre-order store for Harvest Days.

What do we expect from this first early version of the game?

We want you to feel part of the project from the beginning: we are eager to receive your feedback, listen to your suggestions or watch your gameplays on Youtube to improve the user experience of the game.

Your support is really important to have the best possible game in its final version. We are very happy that each of you are part of this community.

The development of Harvest Days is progressing by leaps and bounds, we are working on the implementation of exciting features.

We are improving most of the UI’s, creating new NPC's, creating the quest and dialogue system... A lot of new features and improvements! For the moment we aren’t going to reveal any more details... We want you to find out for yourselves :)

In the coming weeks we'll share Devlog #10 with detailed information about the progress of Harvest Days.

If you have any further questions please write to us at this email: contact@harvestdaysgame.net

Hey, Necromancers! Thanks a lot for playing our demo and leaving a lot of thorough feedback - it will be super helpful for further development.

After the last demo update, we have been fully focused on the main game, although the demo stays available for everyone on Steam. If you didn't have a chance to try it and fill in the questionnaire - don't hesitate to do that. The Early Access launch date will be announced closer to the release, but nothing has changed on that matter - we are still aiming for the first half of 2022.

We appreciate your continuous support and its huge positive input in the development. Cheers!

In the bowels of Steam, Lord Gaben forged a button, and into that button he poured his cakes, his malice, and his will to dominate all controls. One button to rule them all.

What changed:
  • The interact button (usually the 'E' key) drops items, picks up items, interacts with what's in front of your character, interacts with menus, and more.
  • New character: Mason, found in the brown region northwest of the ice cave entrance (only visible after you start a new game)
  • Put multiple languages into one manual PDF
Gloria Victis: Medieval MMORPG - GV Daimon Frey
Greetings, Warriors!

We’re continuing the winning streak started with the last game update, warmly received by our players. By collecting your feedback and observing players' behavior in combat, we were able to find some areas that can be improved when it comes to our unique combat system. We are making the attacks faster, and adding a new feature to the block system, but we had to reserve some more time before introducing those improvements to you, to test everything properly.

As always, we are delivering the weekly dose of Quality of Life improvements and Fixes, as a result of your reports, suggestions, and feedback. Thank you for your contribution to the game development!

Find more details below, and see you in battle!

Are you a new or returning player? This section is for you:

We are happy to welcome the new and returning players to Gloria Victis MMO! We would not be here and achieve everything without our awesome Community, so it is heartwarming to see that it is growing recently.

Our game is quite big and deep, and we would like to take that occasion to show you some more tricks and tips related to our unique non-target combat, and also bring up the list of activities available in the game.

In the videos below, we, and our players are explaining the most crucial aspects of the combat system, and it should be a great help for players who may be not used to such an approach. We hope you will like it and become the best swordmasters or archers in the game in no time!

Another important thing is that our game has a lot of activities and everyone can find something suitable for them. You can become a brawler, knight, archer, blacksmith, builder, fisherman, merchant, farmer, cook, medic, castellan, and more! The choice is yours!

Check our “What to do in Gloria Victis” scheme and we wish you a good time and a lot of fun!

In the end, we want to encourage you to actively participate in game development! Use ingame report and feedback to let us know what you think about the game and if you would like to talk about something with the Dev Team or community – join our official Discord server!

We’re also thankful for all the kind reviews of our game we got recently, and the ones that will come. Posting honest and constructive reviews is one of the most helpful things you can do to help our small team and the project, so thank you in advance for sharing your opinions.

We are thrilled to hear your feedback and are always here for you!

Work in progress insight

Combat iteration – Faster attacks

We are preparing a series of changes in the combat system, targeted to increasing skill cap, encouraging players to exchange hits more often, and making dealing damage easier for newcomers. We are currently testing faster attacks, speeding up the launching of them, as well as changes in blocking with weapons. We are also checking how it will work when the time window for a counterattack will be higher if our enemy misses his attack. Overall, the combat in Gloria Victis will be much more dynamic, and it will be better rewarded to be active in the fight and exchange hits with opponents.

Next week's update will change a lot, so we have to ask you in advance for understanding and patience, as the new features and changes will need some time to get used to them, and ultimately, some tweaking. We are all together searching for the best solutions and systems, which will be convenient, interesting, and engaging. Your help in testing the changes in the game is always much appreciated. We hope you are looking forward to trying them out!

Changelog v.0.9.8.13 Beta

Quality of Life:

– We added the ability for players to choose the tournament mode. Before joining the tournament, if a player has entered and is not in the queue, we display a button in the right panel of the tournament, opening the voting panel. The player has the opportunity to vote for one of the two drawn affixes displayed with the corresponding button. The button has graphics corresponding to the tournament mode. On the button tooltip, we show the name of the tournament mode and its description. Votes are tallied when the tournament start timer reaches 0 and players are moved to the VoD area.

– Each pop-up window could be moved freely by the player except the depot window. We are removing this exception and making the depot window work the same as the rest of the pop-up windows, so you can now move it around the screen. :)

Fixes

– Fixed an issue causing some attacks while on horseback were not hitting the enemy, depending on the camera angle of the attacker.
– Fixed an issue where blocking while on horseback could block not work properly, and block different sides than desired.
– Fixed an issue where closing the settings window with the Esc key was opening the Esc menu.
– Fixed an issue where when the Escape menu was opened over any other window, clicking Esc was closing only the Esc menu, instead of all opened windows.
– Fixed an issue causing the non-loot zone to work improperly in siege events.
– Fixed an issue causing Huntsman skill to give armor penetration to weapons that do not have any armor penetration at all.
– Fixed an issue causing details of offers on other players' stalls not to be displayed.
– Fixed an issue where some pop-ups, i.e. hint windows could move outside of the screen after scaling the interface.
– Fixed an issue causing the Horse Hud position on the screen to not be remembered and reset to default after using the /relog command or client restart.

GB Rober - MOKKOGRAD
Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for your interest in this little game. I can't stress how much it means to me to know that so many people have found and enjoyed GB Rober so far.

Now on to today's post:

Over the past few weeks I've been occasionally fixing some bugs that have brought to my attention, by a nice person who took it upon themselves to try and speedrun this game. However in my attempts to fix these various small things, I unknowingly introduced some more problems, that I have been fixing over the last three days, while I was trying to record a speedrun of GB Rober myself.

You see, for some reason Game Maker decided to remove parts of the game's collision code, after I imported some of GB Rober's assets into a different project, to give me a bit of a headstart with things. I caught the worst stuff very early, but some small things went unnoticed until today and yesterday.

Anyway, those are fixed now and also I remembered to set the camera layer in Vintage Prospective stage back to invisible, so that you're not looking at a solid red background for the entire stage.

I also wrote up a short guide for those people who might be interested in speedrunning GB Rober themselves. No idea if it's already live in the game's guide section, but it should be there at some point.

Aside from that, I'm slowly regaining the energy back to start working on the additional stuff I had in mind for this game, though it's still a bit out until I can share news on that.

Lacuna – A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure - Assemble_Xer0
Ambient rain drizzling outside, plumes of cigarette smoke hanging in the air, and an intense mystery waiting to be solved — all that and more awaits players in the moody and atmospheric noir adventure game, Lacuna.

Today, together with Lacuna developer DigiTales Interactive, we are delighted to announce a December 21st console launch date for Lacuna, with availability coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on December 28th.

These upcoming digital releases will allow even more players to experience the title’s melancholy yet intensely gripping mystery. Assume the role of Neil Conrad, veteran agent of the Central Department of Investigation (CDI), and discover the truth behind what at first appears to be “nothing more” than a heinous murder.

Lacuna launched on PC via Steam earlier this year to critical acclaim and immense community praise. Winner of ‘Best Prototype’ at Game Award Saar and second place for “Best Game” at Indie Game Fest 2019, Lacuna’s story is told through gorgeous 2D pixel art, as well as its dulcet, captivating soundtrack — both working in tandem to capture the essence of its futuristic yet dour environment. Navigate a vast amount of dialogue choices, make decisions with crucial outcomes, and reveal the plot that will turn everything Detective Conrad knows upside down.

Watch the new console announcement trailer here:

About Lacuna

Lacuna subverts the classic story-driven adventure trope by nixing the tiresome “point-and-click” mechanic. Gone are the days of pixel hunting, and other intrusive mechanics that interrupt the flow of the game. Other improvements on the genre include conversational choices that drive the story, narrative-based puzzles, interactable extras, various distinct endings, and a detective saga that is sure to stay with players long after completion.

Lacuna will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on December 21st, and Nintendo Switch on December 28th.
Additionally, there will be a 20% launch discount in both the Microsoft Store and Nintendo eShop.

The PC version on Steam can be purchased with Assemble Entertainment’s usual “Save the World” Edition, where 10% of the proceeds go to GoGiveOne, an organization founded by the WHO Foundation that collects donations to provide COVID-19 vaccines for countries that cannot procure them.

Empires of the Undergrowth - Mike
Once again, the Hungry Spider has crawled out of his hole. This time he's in a better mood, having just finished his Christmas shopping and gotten everything wrapped and ready for the little ones. However, envious eyes are looking over his haul - and he'll need to protect it!

The Festive Spider level is here once again for the season. Find it by clicking on the gift that has appeared on the main menu. Whilst you may be familiar with the upgrade system and control scheme from the Hungry Spider level, this game mode is more akin to a tower defense. Like the Hungry Spider level, it is incredibly difficult - very few players have defeated all of the waves and saved Christmas for their spiderlings.

Building towers is vital - whether recruiting funnel web spiders to slow enemies and snatch them away, or wood ants to launch acid at them, you'll need to think about tower placement and longevity to be succesful. Placing towers costs life, so you'll need to balance this single resource carefully.

A little tip - the spider's abilities are also extremely useful for making sure enemies don't get away with your precious presents. It'd be a good idea to start with the Crippling Venom ability to slow enemies from afar.

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals!
Looking for Aliens - Ira Roka
The demo now contains even more human speech options!

Full list of languages available in the demo:
  • English
  • Russian
  • Simplified Chinese
  • German
  • Spanish
  • Portuguese - Brazil

In the meantime, add the game to your Wishlist and download the demo so people won't know you're one of us! 👽
