Vagrus is a turn-based, open-world, dark fantasy RPG. The game moves out of Early Access with well over a hundred hours of playable content . Vagrus and its haunting world were born from decades of tabletop RPG campaigns played by the founders of Lost Pilgrims, which adds vastly to the game’s unique atmosphere and the richness of its setting. https://store.steampowered.com/app/909660/Vagrus__The_Riven_Realms
Vagrus is an award-winning roleplaying game with a narrative focus, open-world exploration, and strong elements of strategy. The player takes the role of a vagrus - a caravan leader who strives to survive in a strange and dangerous dark fantasy world by leading a traveling company on all kinds of ventures.
Feature list
A DARK REALM A vast realm is yours to explore, filled with unique locations, strange factions, lurking dangers, and a slew of characters you can interact with.
BRANCHING NARRATIVE A large selection of longer and shorter stories make up the game’s narrative in the form of events and quests. The choices you make in these can significantly affect the characters and the world around you.
TURN-BASED COMBAT Take part in turn-based, tactical combat that involves your characters and a large variety of enemies, both humanoid and monstrous. Use a range of character skills and abilities to succeed. Fight against outlaws and monsters commanding your whole traveling company in pitched battles for resources.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Most journeys have to be planned and prepared for carefully, lest they end in disaster. Manage your supplies, cargo, and crew effectively to survive. Take on contracts and follow rumors or trade opportunities.
UNIQUE COMPANIONS A wide variety of companions can work for you in versatile caravan roles, such as scoutmaster, guard captain, treasure hunter, or beast handler. Each companion comes with unique combat skills, background stories, and personal quest lines that can upgrade them further when you complete them.
POWERFUL FACTIONS Ally yourself with mighty factions that shape the Riven Realms with their influence on commerce, brutal wars, and constant scheming. From prosperous Trading Houses to criminal syndicates and religious organizations, these groups offer powerful rewards and boons to those loyal to their cause. But take heed - befriending a faction will more than likely antagonize others.

Fenrir Variants
With our first Mid-Saga update comes the debut of our Saga Boss Variant system. Now, when starting a new World, there is a 50/50 chance that you will encounter one of two Fenrir variations at the end of your Saga Quest. Keep an eye out for visual differences in the Myth Lair entrance and the Arena itself to foreshadow which version you’ll be facing off against. See Content section below for more details.
New Challenge Types:
We’ve added recurring Daily and Weekly Challenge types that can be completed for continual rewards, such as Golden Horns and Season XP to help progress you through the Season Rewards track.
Content
Wolfmancer Fenrir:
Sporting a fresh look, this new Fenrir Variant never fights alone, for he is a master of magic… wolf magic! Throughout your encounter with Wolfmancer Fenrir, he will summon his wolf allies to distract and overwhelm you, in addition to attacking you directly (he fights dirty). Should Wolfmancer Fenrir be reduced to 50% HP, he will call for aid from his most trustworthy of wolf allies, the gigantic and deadly Sköll and Hati. Good luck!
Doomhowler Fenrir:
The wolf formerly known simply as Fenrir has taken up the new mantle of Doomhowler. Why? Well, because he’s honed his signature Howl ability to be even more deadly (doomful?). When below the 50% HP threshold, Doomhowler Fenrir will shoot out magical projectiles in all directions every time he uses his Howl ability. Stay nimble and you might just make it through in one piece.
New Challenges:
To accompany the additions of New Challenge types and the new Fenrir Variants, we’ve added a multitude of challenges for players to complete and earn rewards from. Be sure to check out the Challenges from the Progress tab on the Main Menu to see what we’ve added, including:

Gameplay Changes – Combat/Blessings Update
Armor System Update:
We have globally buffed Armor and Shields’ impact on mitigating damage to the player, affecting all tiers of Equipment. Due to this, the Defense rating on Armor, and any Runes or Blessings that further buff that Rating, will be more noticeable and do a better job of keeping you safe out there in Midgard.
Class Blessings
Ranger:
Ullr’s Step: reduced the cooldown and added a stun effect.
Hunter:
Skaði’s Spirit: now spawns 100% of the time, with a cooldown between uses, and continually taunts nearby enemies.
Bountiful Grasp: now doubles all Materials harvested regardless of source.
Pushing Limits: increased the knockback effect but only triggers on the final combo hit.
Warrior:
Reckless Roll: Now working as intended in that it does not affect the entire rolling animation. Added a visual cue to indicate the timing during the roll in which the Warrior is invincible.
Berserker:
Striking Fear: No longer affects weapon durability when triggered.
Wrath Unleashed: Adjusted the Blessing Tree layout so that this Blessing is more of a conscious decision for players if they want to expend their Wrath gauge for the explosion damage or not.
Sentinel:
Shield Throw: Now correctly bounces up to 3 additional targets.
Combat Improvements:
Pressing inputs before the end of Rolling, Bow aiming and Shield blocking animations now skips recovery and feels more responsive.
Blocking stance effect is now active immediately upon pressing the input, even if the animation is not finished.
Cooldowns of Class Spells are now always visible in the HUD.
Balance Changes:
Norsfell: We’ve been monitoring the playstyles and emerging meta strategies from the Community since launch, and with the Mid-Saga update we wanted to empower players with a wider variety of suitable options to shake up that meta and add some more diversity to player builds. This included taking a look at some Runes that we felt were not strong enough on their own, leading to the game being harder than anticipated without the ideal Rune setup. The Rune changes below, coupled with the Armor System Update above, should allow for a wider variety of powerful builds to take on the dangers of Midgard with.
Rune Effects:
Einher-a-JAR: damage bonus changed from 50% to 75%
Blessed Hands: XP on Loot value changed from 300 to 400
Beyond Repair: discount value changed from 15% to 25%
Ire of Thór: damage buff changed from 10% to 15%
Lucky Loot: bonus changed from 15% to 20%
Viking Hoarder: bonus changed from 20% to 25%
Keeper of Souls: bonus changed from 20% to 25%
Explosive Finale: bonus changed from 10% to 15%
Rolling Thunder: damage changed from 200 to 300
Last Laugh: damage changed from 2000 to 3000
Demolition Viking: damage changed from 1000 to 2000
Björn Again: heal value changed from 1000 to 1750
Might of Mjölnir: damage changed from 100 to 200
Like a Dwarf: armor value bonus changed from 50 to 150
Coldblood: heal value changed from 50 to 75
Rune Rarities:
Demolition Viking: changed from Rare to Uncommon
Viking Hoarder: changed from Epic to Uncommon
Seiðr Weaver: changed from Rare to Epic
Soul Powered: changed from Uncommon to Epic
Nothing to Hide: changed from Uncommon to Rare
Crafting:
Legendary Weapons that do not require previous Weapon tiers in their Recipe have an increased Golden Horns Cost from 1 to 4 to make the resource investments more equal across Legendaries.
Norsfell: Worth noting that with the addition of Daily Challenges, players will have even more opportunities to earn Golden Horns on a regular basis for spending on Crafting, at the Golden Altar, or in the Shop.
QoL Changes
War Chest Loot:
When players Abandon a Multiplayer game from within one, or take the Bifröst, their entire loot is automatically deposited into the War Chest and can be accessed by the remaining players. An Exit Alert message has also been added to clarify the manner of players’ exits and states that their Inventory has been transferred to the War Chest.
Explosive Jar Placement:
When placing an Explosive Jar, it now appears behind the character instead of in front of it, allowing players to more easily set traps while fleeing the enemy.
Village Shrine:
When at a Shrine and choosing your destination, pressing the CTRL (PC) / Triangle (PlayStation) button causes the cursor to center exactly on the Village Shrine to allow for faster teleporting home
Quest Board Organization:
Quests listed in the Quest Board are now organized by difficulty, from easiest to hardest.
Bifröst Pop-Up:
When exiting through the Bifröst, the default button selected is now Yes instead of No, allowing players to quickly leave the game and bank those rewards when time is nigh.
Screen Shake Toggle:
Players can now toggle On (default) or Off this option from the Settings menu.
Waystone Activation:
Players can also now choose if the activation for their Waystone is a Toggle (default) or a Hold input.
Loot Chest Angle:
Loot Chests that spawn when a player’s Viking dies will now spawn at a default 45 degree angle to ease visualization.
Accessories Tab:
We’ve reworked the Customize menu, adding an Accessories Tab to house the player’s choice of Starter Kits, Pets, and now Loot Chests.
Notable Bug Fixes
We have pinpointed a number of issues affecting the performance of PS5 users. We’ve made some changes that should result in a notable performance improvement and will continue to optimize all versions of Tribes of Midgard with future updates to present the best looking, and best playing, experience possible.
Fixed an issue where level 50 players would only see their level as 49 in-game
Fixed some instances of players experiencing an infinite load at times of high latency
Fixed a number of instances in which Rune effects would not stack properly
… and many more improvements!
Known Issues Under Investigation
We are actively looking into an issue that affected ongoing Survival games by multiplying the enemy Jötunn’s health bar to infinity and beyond. Starting a new World resolves this issue, but we are gathering insight from the community in an effort to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
We are looking into a rare issue of Worlds being generated in a broken state, with landmasses overlapping each other.

we are about to introduce a new version of Viticulture Essential Edition soon. In preparation of the tuscany extension we resdesigned viticulture to hold the expansion and we implemented our new main menu. We will also migrate the game onto our new server. Please have a look what the new main menu brings for new features:
Profile
The new profile offers you an improved overview over your game stats and information. We added a statistic to show you your games against AI opponents. Now you'll also be able to see more friends in the list.
Another feature is how you can show others your in-game success: Depending on your ranking, your avatar gets a matching border! Start with a copper border and climb the ranking to get a shiny golden one!
Running Games
More categories/filters so you can keep better track of your games.
Lobby Chat
You will be able to open and join public and private chat lobbys to start games. Use the filter to find online players, and friends. In your lobby you will also be able to add AI opponents – Try to beat the Cheater AI with your friends!
Let others know if you want to play a game by activating the "Looking for game"- Button, so they can send you an invite for their lobby.
Stay tuned for more information about how the server migration will work and what we will add to the main menu functions in the future. We will constantly update you prior to the Boardgame Event on steam linked to the announcement.
Howdy good people, The update 0.9 has arrived. And in it: brand new playable beast, achievements, 2nd chapter of the Adventure, new VS arena with unique hazards, full gamepad support, in-game avatars, new quests, challenges and a lot more! Let's jump right into it, shall we?
New stuff:
Meet ZOLF, he is a new playable beast. Placing stone totems around, which act as obstacles but also buffs allies with bonus damage when hit. When upgraded, additionally deal damage to the enemies. Also, Zolf’s chitinous shell makes him a tough one to smash, reducing all incoming damage to 1.
Achievements. Unlocking them grants not only satisfaction and respect, but also unique rewards, not acquirable by any other means. For now there are 9 achievements, but we plan to add more in the future updates.
In-game avatars system. We no longer use steam avatars. We instead added an avatar system to the game, where avatars are being given to players for leveling up and unlocking achievements. There is no other way to acquire them.
2nd chapter of adventure: Our heroes, together with Shmashrul (the wise) venture into the desert in search of an artifact that may stop the Darklings. Featuring: 3 new missions, new story comic, 2 new (but somewhat familiar) mummified enemies, and Shmashrul as an AI controlled team member. He has unique powerful abilities of his own; use them wisely.
new Adventure challenges: each adventure, apart from 3 stars, now also offer two challenges; a “Health challenge” (to finish the match with 7+ Health) and a “Master challenge” (different for every adventure).
New VS arena: Proving ground. It’s the arena you know from the tutorial, but with new mechanics: healing area, and spiky floor. It’s perfect for dueling, rewards skill shots because it’s open and all about right positioning. It also comes with a day and night version.
Full gamepad support: it’s not just an overlay. We redesigned UI navigation in match when using the gamepad for the best experience. It detects the device and changes controls on input so you can switch freely between mouse or gamepad without going into options (you can check the controls in options however). Would love to hear from you if all feels right.
new cards to unlock: 14 Avatars, 3 Quotes and 6 beasts’ Skins.
New stock in Shoppe: we added 3 new cards to shoppe: exchanging Fireflies for Grubs (if you need some extra cash), redeeming code (a system to distribute rewards for future non-in-game events), daily quests upgrade. The last one is another permanent upgrade, like unlocking victory screen customizations; it reduces the refresh time of daily quests and increases their total number. Can be used twice.
New daily quests: we’ve added 2 new types of daily quests: win 3 ranked matches in a row and play as a particular beast.
Two new player stats: “Co-op adventure progression” and “Unlocked Achievements”.
Changes/upgrades:
We improved matchmaking, reducing the overall search time. Because of that we also decided to reduce the time to launch a match with AI from 40 to 30 seconds.
Added notifications to beasts’ skins and adventures.
The last chosen skins now remain visible in beast choice menu, so you don’t have to go to skins category every time.
Added avatars rewards to level-up rewards for levels: 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14. Those of you who have already reached those levels will get the rewards automatically.
Added avatar and name of teammate to top bar.
Added current level progression to player avatar in top-left corner of main menu.
The gained stars and completed adventure challenges are now shown in the Victory screen (right after the match ends) instead of the spoils screen.
Improved AI; it is generally more accurate and thoughtful in their decisions. Also less often performs meaningless tiny moves.
Decreased base daily quest refresh time from 23 to 22 hours.
Level cap changed from 35 to 40.
Switched menus scrolling directions.
Added scrolling to the spoils screen. It will appear when there are a lot of icons.
Added sound effects to gaining rewards and stars.
Bugfixes:
Sometimes an opened chest doesn’t show any rewards - Fixed.
Sometimes, when a teammate leaves the match, the game could hang for another player at turn end/start - Fixed (hope we found all the causes).
Sometimes players of very different leagues would be matched after 30+s or not at all - Fixed.
Sometimes rewards showing over the match spoils - Fixed.
During a match, the game occasionally freezes when beasts are moving - Fixed some of the causes (but not sure if all, as they are situational).
Game sometimes/ for some players hanging on the launch screen - Fixed.
Sometimes finishing an adventure with a score of 2+ stars gives only one star - Fixed.
Some players lost their hard-earned move effect: “Avalanche” - We were unable to recover the info of who had it and who didn’t, so we decided to give it to all players who played FurryFury before update 0.8.
Dark zone, in desert arena with Guiding Egg, Sometimes shrinks at the beginning of the turn, instead of the end - FIxed.
During a match you could sometimes open a character card of a moving beast, or couldn’t open the card of a still one. Also sometimes these cards stay opened when not supposed to - Fixed.
In match; sometimes a prediction path is flashing quickly (most common in co-op) - Fixed.
Sometimes when canceling a search at the last moment, it will still launch a match - Fixed.
Time to next daily quest sometimes showing negative numbers - Fixed.
While in a team; sometimes popup, to join adventure match, doesn’t appear at first time - Fixed.
Low resolution of black circle transition between scenes - Fixed.
Sometimes you get doubled rewards for the quest - Fixed.
Every card, shown as a reward, has a green (rare) rarity gem - Fixed.
Some particle sprites in match are wrongly rotated - Fixed.
Some ui elements not scaling correctly on ratios other than 16x9 - Fixed.
Sometimes it is possible to select the Grubs or Fireflies rewards and selection doesn’t disappear - Fixed.
After disbanding the team, sometimes the green frame around a friend's card stays active - Fixed.
Beast text response to a friend joining the team is visible over some sub-menus, like Play or Adventure - Fixed.
In match; sometimes a skill description is partially masked - Fixed.
When playing ranked matches against AI, the player is always in the orange team - Fixed.
When waiting for a teammate to join a sparring game, the text says “searching...” instead of “waiting...” and there is a timer - Fixed.
Sometimes when solo searching for a 1vs1 match, the title says “Sparring” instead of “duel” - Fixed.
When reaching a new league (or falling down), corresponding spoils will still show the old one - Fixed.
Invitation popup appears behind the blur when in Friends sub-menu - Fixed.
In map view, there are scroll arrows visible before there is a content to scroll - Fixed.
No notification for getting Babowacky and Cruelick cards - Fixed.
Known issues:
Part of translations is missing in Czech, French, Italian and Russian languages. Missing texts are replaced by English. We are working on updating those translations.
Game being blocked by antiviruses (as idp.generic) - it is a false alarm, the game is safe, however we are working to solve this.
Here I would like to give a big shout-out to our community; you were a huge help in finding and fixing the bugs. Keep up the good work, professional reports, constructive criticism, and keep rolling. -Marcin (Tinek) Michalski
++Thought of the Day++ There is no justice without the Emperor’s will; there is no victory without His might.
Welcome, Battle Brothers and Battle Sisters, to the latest Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector dev diary.
This one is a bit overdue, largely because we’ve really busy lately. Quite a lot is going on, so we wanted to share some of what we’ve been up to over the last couple of months.
First, for console players waiting for news about the launch of Battlesector on their preferred systems, we can say that good progress has been made. Getting Battlesector into your hands has been the main focus of the engineering team lately, and we are close to submitting the game to the respective console manufacturers for certification.
We can’t control the outcome of the certification process, so we don’t have release dates yet, but rest assured we’ll share news of release dates as soon as we can, and that every effort is being made to get the game ready for you.
As well as getting the console versions primed for release, we’ve been working on numerous balancing changes, and bug fixes. We expect to release a new patch on all PC platforms in the coming weeks with these changes. Numerous units for both the Blood Angels and Tyranids armies have had adjustments made to their stats, including special abilities and weaponry.
We have adjusted how our combat model calculates low scoring damage rolls. This will be most noticeable when attacking high armour units with low damage weapons; you should now expect to see a lot more Blocked! shots. This results in armoured units being able to fulfil their roles better as damage soaks versus low piercing weapons. We’ve also addressed a lot of bugs that players have reported to us. Full details will be in the patch notes when these changes are released.
Tyranid players know that keeping your swarms together is valuable, as the bonuses from being near a Synaptic Leader are powerful. We’ve added a quality of life feature that visualises the connections of Synaptic Leaders with Connected units. Just click on the Synaptic Leader or Connected status icon to see the range of the network.
For our multiplayer-focused players, you’ll be happy to hear that we’ve been working on adding support for tournaments. Warhammer, generally, is designed at its core to be a competitive multiplayer game. Adding tournament support is part of the work we’ll be doing in the coming months and years to build and support the multiplayer scene. (Of course, adding more factions to the game will also help grow multiplayer!) There is still work to be done, but we hope to release the first version of the tournament system before the end of the year.
Speaking of factions, we are hard at work on more units and a new faction. We are aiming to have a number of new units for the Tyrannid and Blood Angels armies available before the end of the year, and a completely new faction early next year. We’ll share more details about these closer to when they are ready.
