Our Kickstarter campaign began this week and we couldn’t be more excited and humbled by all the love and support the community has shown us.

We’ve always counted on you to help us create the survival game of our dreams and with your backing we’re one step closer to making that goal a reality. But we’re not quite there yet. We’re counting on you to help spread the word to your friends and family, far and wide. Let’s keep the momentum going and ride this wave all the way to the Lahaina of our dreams...or nightmares depending on which mutant you encounter along the way!

To help celebrate Kickstarter week we thought we’d share some of the work we’ve done improving the horrors of the jungle, some veil travel concepts, and some beautiful shots of the incredible bases that were built by our players since our last update.

Mutant Updates
The mutants are always ready to feast, just don’t forget to light their bodies on fire or else you’ll be on the menu. We made a number of improvements and fixes to ensure that players have something to fear from the local monster population but also don’t just have a mutant spawn right next to them out of nowhere. Everyone loves a good sneak attack, but it wasn’t a fair fight for some players so we squashed that bug.

We also went ahead and fixed some issues with AI navigation, updated how and where they can spawn in, improved ranged AI, and reduced the length of the Kasha’s ringing noise after a scream to avoid stunning players in real-life. You will notice we fixed an issue with Green Snatchers getting caught in burrow-unburrow loops that must have been awful for their claws, and made some updates to the island’s cannibals (aka neck-brace Annabelles as we like to call them).



Veil travel
The Fracture wiped out civilization and devastated life on the planet but we’ve always planned on letting players rebuild the system in the game and travel between worlds to experience slightly different environments and loot.

Since launching the Kickstarter, we’re working hard to further develop and show off how players will be able to travel between unique worlds. Like we also say, actions in Fractured Veil have consequences, so it's important for us to demonstrate that what players do in the game wouldn’t just affect themselves, their surroundings, and their server anymore, but a whole multiverse of interconnected servers. We’re not nearly there yet, but it’s an exciting time and the early stages of how and what that multiverse travel will be.



Our idea is that each world can have its own culture, ecology, and history eventually. Players will be able to trade between worlds, not just communities, and find realities perfect for playing with their friends and play styles, assuming of course that the whole thing doesn’t come crashing down again. Here’s an exclusive peek at concept art of what it might look like when the veils open up.

Updates and Improvements

  • Added visibility checks to the loot menu
  • Tool quest and twine quest added and updated
  • Removed ladder sphere overlap checks and updated code to support traces
  • Improved the AI's navigation

Weapon/Combat Improvements
  • Cleaned up third-person bow animations for the homemade bow and compound bow
  • Adjusted all melee weapon hand positions in third person
  • Added flare gun firing sound
  • Projectiles that get stuck in enemies will no longer show the pickup particle effect
  • Improved aim offset smoothness



    Fixes
  • Potentially fixed AI spawning on top of cars and other areas by further improving the navmesh check used to determine if an AI is ready for activation
  • Fixed AI occasionally being activated right next to a player which would cause them to be unexpectedly attacked
  • Fixed vendor bounds issue preventing proper interaction traces
  • Fixed floating hair on dead bodies
  • Fixed not being able to loot corpses
  • Fixed not being able to open the 127 converter UI
  • Fixed clothing vendors not being interactable
  • Fixed eating a coconut not granting a coconut shell
  • Fixed totem UI not updating upkeep cost or time
  • Potentially fixed a bug where Green Snatchers were unburrowing in a location that got them stuck
  • Fixed a bug where Green Snatchers would unburrow and then immediately burrow again without attacking or being alerted by a fire
  • Fixed performance issue in the Throcon due to lights casting dynamic shadows
  • Fixed bug where players couldn't use the jump key while on ladders to get off
  • Fixed a bug where ranged AI were unable to properly predict movement velocity if the velocity had negative values in it
  • Fixed the 127 Detector floating between the player's legs
  • Fixed coconut canteen alignment in third person.
  • Fixed skar weapon animations having the mag visible on the floor in third person
  • Fixed crash when clients would receive quest information before being fully loaded
  • Fixed bug where multiple key bindings were set to LeftAlt
  • Fixed arms bending into the torso for multiple animations in third person
  • Fixed ukupoon not playing sounds
  • Fixed jumping animations cancelling attack or reload animations
  • Disabled actor pushing from large fallen trees to fix a severe performance issue that could occur when performing overlap checks

Shadowforge - Gibi
Loading a save slot now prompts you to open a zip. You can cancel the prompt if you do not desire to open a zip.

This is coded into Shadowforge so that you can share your files in a zip on a website or to a friend. Shadowforge's files are inside AppData\Local\Shadowforge. A shortcut is to use Win + R and type in %localappdata%\Shadowforge.

The zip will unzip it's files in %localappdata%\Shadowforge which the Shadowforge client is binded to, everything that is unzipped to that folder will be uploaded to the Shadowforge client.

News just in from the Captain’s Log! Deafening crashes heard in the distance of the Beela Seas reveal many big changes to have taken place recently.

DEMON ALTARS
Mysterious altars have been discovered in the Open Sea. Rumour has it that those brave enough to touch them will be blessed (or cursed) with godlike powers...

PIRATE CAMPS & STRONGHOLDS
The barrier of the Beela Sea has broken - and PIRATES have invaded. They used wooden planks to make various sea camps! Only the bravest can take them over and claim this as their own. Once a stronghold has been taken over, stop off at them to repair or upgrade.


CAMP SHOPS
After the pirate ships have been cleaned up in the camps, shops will be opened to the natives of Beela following their surrender. With daily deals and special items for sale, crafters will be able to visit these to buy additional upgrades at a fair price.


PVP ARENA
The people of Beela found that being friendly could not be exchanged for peace, so they accelerated the construction of ‘The Arena’ and regularly held combat activities to screen the design and driving of the most powerful warships in the Beela waters. Feeling brave?


NEW RESOURCES & WEAPONS
New materials were also discovered floating in the seas, including STEEL PARTS and RAPID FIRE WEAPONS! Many thrifty crafters have already started to put these to good use in upgrading their vessels. Here are a few:


IMPROVED USER INTERFACE
Based on feedback from our crafters, the user interface has been redesigned from the ground up. Giving the whole overall look and feel of the menus a more modern and stylish feel.


REPAIRED SAILS
Back by popular demand! We hired the finest captains out there to work on repairing the sails. The team has finally found the perfect balance between difficulty, control and authenticity to the sails technology.


BOSS SHIP
A boss-like enemy has also been sighted by some explorers. Reported to be causing terror and trouble in the Open Sea. More information on this as it becomes available…

Hello everyone happy Friday! We have a new update for you and boy is it a good one. Also we are making a round of shoutouts for the projects they have been working on with passion for the game. So check it out!

PSA: listed below is a bugfix for the Shelter bug, but in order to be rid of that bug we had to wipe old shelters, so make sure you create new ones!!!


First of all a highly requested feature not only by you guys but also internally during testing.

You can now switch seats in the vehicle without getting out!



Took a while to do this feature but it is finally here, so if you are chasing that thief across the map and need to switch seats to get a better shot or maybe want to go high speed charge someone and switch seats to confuse them, now you can!

The default keys for switching keys are F1, F2, F3 and so on depending on the number of seats available. Keep in mind you can switch yo seats you can physically access, so you can't just hop out to the back of the pickup mid drive from the inside.

Note that you will have to rebind the event scoreboard from F1 in order to be able to switch to the driver seat.



Ever walked around the woods, lost for 2 days, thinking to yourself "Man. I'm so hungry I could eat a carcass."

Well guess what buddy, now you can!



On those desolate parts of the map, there is chance to find an old carcass! You can definitely loot it to try and find some food, but we do not guarantee the quality of the meat.



Another POI has hit the scene! Welcome to the town of Rogoznica!









A beautiful coastal location set in the Z3 sector,



Introducing the Admin panel. We have gotten requests from all of the server admins for better and user friendly control of their servers. Well here it is! Currently the option to set and update zones in real time is added but more functions will come to it soon!



The interface is user friendly and allows a lot of options on the fly. You can set the position, size, shape even color of each zone and then set what you want to allow or disallow in it.

There are 3 options for each zone:
  • Ignore
  • Allow
  • Block

Allow and Block are pretty self explanatory but what is Ignore? Well in a chance you want to create overlapping zones and there is a parameter you want to keep from another zone in the overlap area, you put ignore on that parameter. Otherwise the region that comes first takes priority, or in case of no overlap the parameter just takes default setting.

After you've set the zones and color you press apply and the zone will show up on the map.



Oh and this also works in Singleplayer!



  • Fixed the bug that caused server crashes.
  • Fixed the bug where locked chests were unable to move.
  • Fixed the bug where it was possible to extend the zoom on scopes more than it should be.
  • Fixed the bug where increasing or decreasing Weapon Scope display brightness would turn the flashlight on/off.
  • Fixed the bug where puppets would sometimes bug out.
  • Fixed the bug where puppets would not drop attached items when looted(ex. arrows).
  • Fixed the bug where relogging would make your body disappear.
  • Fixed the audio bug on eating meat skewer.
  • Fixed grips on opened variations of dog and cat food.
  • Fixed the bug where in some cases non alphabetic characters would not show up properly.
  • Fixed the bug where player would sometimes not be able to cancel the load action.
  • Fixed the bug where puppets struck with with thrown weapons would go blind.
  • Fixed the bug that caused FPS drops when looting other players.
  • Fixed the bug where explosions would not deal damage to BB elements in SP.
  • Fixed the bug where it was possible to overload boltaction rifles.
  • Fixed the grips on drumsticks(meat, we have not added drums so don't even ask).
  • Fixed the bug where the bow would bugout when added to full inventory.
  • Fixed the bug where you could not max out a skill when the attribute related is on border value.
  • Fixed the bug where it was sometimes possible to fuel vehicles with water.
  • Fixed the bug where you could infinitely decrease intensity on lanterns.
  • Fixed the bug regarding shelter and bed spawns.
  • Fixed the bug that sometimes caused binoculars to be useless after leaving combat mode.
  • Fixed the bug related to the quick access.


  • Adjusted nutritional information for pinecones.
  • You can now drink Isopropyl Alcohol if you want.
  • Improvements to server stability.
  • Added new variations of dirtbikes.
  • It is now possible to drive motorcycles and hold a gun in the hand.
  • Chopping animal meat will now result in meat with same durability like the item that was chopped.
  • Crafting arrows and bolts will now properly give XP to survival skill.
  • Washing clothes on wells now use 2 liters of water for full wash.
  • Added cause bleeding injury characteristic to more melee weapons.
  • Fixed quiver visibility when prisoner is in vehicle.
  • Added a winter clothing item for prisoners that start in cold areas on the island.
  • Added further translations to the game.


  • Admins can now set fake names to others.
  • Adjusted the animations for controlling boats to make it possible to shoot while operating them.
  • The killbox panic button will now only be active when the killbox door closes.
  • Adjusted the time when the killbox door starts to close.
  • Admin drones can now see door upgrades information.
  • #spawnitem command can now also set the dirtiness level on items.
  • #spawnitem can now work in 4 different ways, either you can use long sting for location that you can acquire by pressing CTRL and C while using quotation marks, same goes for the location that is acquired by doing #location (player name), you can also use steamID of certain player to spawn item next to him.
