Monster Prom 2: Monster Camp - Beautiful Glitch
Hello, everyone!

Let's check what's coming to Monster Camp today!



1. SUMMARY
From now on, expect content updates to be simpler. Look at this one:

  • New Alternative Playable Character: A FRIDGE
  • Option: Full Credits
  • Steam stuff (emotes, trading cards, etc.)
  • New Outfit Pack: MOSTER PORM



2. BECOME A FRIDGE
Yes, we did it. We answered your countless demand. Now you can be a fridge in Monster Camp.
It is 100% for free as an update. You can unlock this new character in the meta-shop.
The fridge comes with a lot of new art. Fridge in the lake; fridge in the love log; fridge in the haunted manor...

Such a deligt!



3. OPTION: FULL CREDITS
We added "FULL CREDITS" in the settings. This lets you navigate the credits more peacefully.
What's more important: here is where we will add all EXTRA CREDITS of people collaborating with the game after-release. Unfortunately, adding new names to the credits is kinda hard, provided it is an animation. So this is a good solution to add everyone!



4. STEAM STUFF
We've added all that shiny cool Steam stuff! Collect the trading cards, emotes, and more!
We had a fun time donig these little things for you enjoy! We hope you like them.

NOTE: we realized there is an error with the text of one trading card. We're trying to solve it, since Steam doesn't need you to edit those once published. Fingers crossed!



5. MOSTER PORM (the outfit pack)

We've released a new outfit pack: MOSTER PORM.
it brings back all your favs from renowned dating sim Moster Porm.

This pack is "bundle-tied". This means it is accessible by buying the "CAMP FOREVER" bundle (or buying its items separately: https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/16572/Monster_Camp_Camp_Forever_Bundle/
If you do so, this pack will be for free.

- Marmanda Vandebunt, heiress to the Merkingdom. She totally always looked like a robot with a wig.

- Scot! The one that was a dog of sorts. You all loved his infectious happiness and his soft skin made of fabric and cotton.

- DEMIOOOOOON!!! The hot demon that had everyone thirsting over his sexy cardboard face.

- And Poppy, so mysterious... who wasn't hypnotized by those eyes, so deep that at times they looked like two bottomless holes full of mystery?

Ah, we all have lived so many unforgettable moments with them! They're -in a way- part of our lives!



6. WHAT'S NEXT?
As we've said, content updates will be quite lighter from now on.
WHY?

Because we're officially switching into "MAKING MORE GAMES".
It seems April 2021 will be the official date for the start of production of "Monster Roadtrip".

Maybe we can have some status update on the start of production later this month (probably on a public Kickstarter update).
We're starting to experiment with things and discuss stuff.

We're also finishing the KS exclusive alternative character pack. We need to prepare the voices. Aiming for summer... but who knows?

And we've prepared a good number of free outfit packs coming as part of future updates (and maybe one or two paid). The idea is to have at least 1 free content per major update.

FREE CONTENT: outfit pack or alternative playable character (but most likely outfit pack, due to workload)

MAJOR UPDATE: Summer, Halloween, and Winter





And that's all!

So happy to keep adding weird stuff to this game... while we start working on a whole new one too! (:

Across the Obelisk - Rhin
Hello everyone, as you all know we are releasing Across the Obelisk in Early Access next week and we wanted to talk to you a bit about deckbuilding in the game.

Also we can now announce that the game will cost 14.99€ (17.99$) with a 15% discount for the early access release, during the early access and when the game is more finished and about to be released, we will raise the price.

Across the Obelisk is a complex game, more than other games of this type, first of all the game has 9 damage types and 9 resistances, each damage card has its own damage type associated and each enemy has its own resistances, so there are enemies that are more resistant to physical damage that tend to be in the front lines of combat and others with more magic resistances that are behind, there are also enemies that are clearly resistant to a type of damage as could be a lava elemental, which is very resistant to fire.



In addition to the various types of damage, the game also has an important amount of positive and negative effects on which the whole base of the game is built, such as"Block"(which stops the damage received), "Burn"(which does fire damage every turn), or "Fast"/"Slow" (which gives/takes speed of movement so that your heroes move faster) these two effects are self-excluding and only one of them can exist. Although the first impression may seem overwhelming, once you are playing and getting used to the icons we think it is quite manageable and understandable.

This complexity allows the game to have a lot of variety of builds and card combinations for the player to experiment with.

Then we have the Heroes, each hero belongs to a Warriors/Scouts/Mages/Healers class and each of them has its own cards (right now more than 90 per class). Each hero starts with their own starting deck which you can modify and also each hero has their own leveling talents which favour specific builds for them and to top it all off the heroes rank up at the end of a game, which gives them small permanent bonuses.



It should be noted that each hero card has 4 different versions, first we have the basic card -white- each basic card can be upgraded to two versions -blue- and -yellow- that modify a little the original card, and also each card has a corrupted version -purple- that comes out in the corruptions and has a small chance to come out in normal rewards, these corrupted cards are much more powerful versions than the others but can not be crafted.



So the player right now has available more than 90 cards x 4 classes x 4 versions = 1440 cards to make builds.

Finally we have the items, each hero has four slots for items, these slots are divided into Weapon, Armour, Jewellery and Accessory. Right now we have over 240 items in the game, these range from simple items that give you a small bonus to resistences or health, to items that add effects when you attack, draw cards when you launch certain types of attacks, give you additional cards or items that do rare effects under certain conditions.



Best of all, the items, level up talents and perks interact with each other.

The possibilities of deckbuilding, creating teams of heroes based on one or more damage types and synergising them with each other or trying weird combinations thanks to certain items is huge! It's one of the things we are most proud of, apart from the fact that the game is cooperative multiplayer ;)

I'd say it's about time to start sharing some sneak peeks from the next update! So here's the first batch but stay tuned for more as we get closer to the release.

Alright, here's the confirmed stuff so far

New Drills

Drill upgrades are finally going to change the actual look of the drill as well. Check out the T3 and T2 drills!





Gunner Seat

Will let you take full control of your drillship turrets one at a time but with the ability to switch between them easily.



Melee Attack

At first, the plan was to add an actual melee weapon but then the team and I have collectively agreed that this capoeira kick will fit the game better.

Armor and Health Restoring Devices

When used, this device will instantly restore your armor (there's going to be the same exact device but for health as well). There are 4 charges, after that, you will have to wait for cooldown. This will give you a big advantage when defending your drillship.



Upgraded Pickaxe

Like the default pickaxe but better.



Item Dropping

Let's have a moment of silence for all the items that were accidentally destroyed while people were attempting to drop them on the ground.

But no more. From the next update on, you will be actually able to drop them. And when you do, one of these boxes will fly out of you with the item in it so somebody else can pick it up.



Basic Steam Workshop integration

By basic, we really mean only being able to download/upload basic mods that can change values such as health, damage, speed, etc. Bigger and better integration will come in a future update later on. With this, we're just trying to set the modding foundation.
