Hello everyone! New update 0.109a is here

New content

  • Added new dungeon - temple of ice and fire. This is the longest and, in my opinion, the best dungeon I made yet. Can't wait for you guys to check it out.
  • New quest in the royal mining site
  • Big changes to the dungeon mode. This will be the first part of the huge changes that will come to the dungeons mode in the next few months, to make it more replayable. So far changes include:
    • Loot now generates randomly (stats are still to be balanced), which unfortunately means that all previous loot you had in your dungeons playthroughs will be changed, and you won't be able to craft armor in dungeons mode.
    • Maximum level is increased up to 100
    • You now have additional talents tab for dungeons mode that will add to your base stats
    • Enemies are now scaled in power, instead of in numbers (number of enemies available is limited for now, and in teh future they will have randomized perks and behaviour)

Changes:
  • Armor and magic resistance is reduced on all items by 50%. This was done because it was fairly easy to get to the armor and magic resistance caps at level 15-20, which ofcourse is not great. Caps are increased from 80% to 90%
  • You cannot blink in the dungeons anymore
  • Pickpocketing only works on humans now
  • Rain of arrows now deals the same amount of damage over longer periods of time, and has a cooldown of 40 seconds
  • Explosive arrow now adds AOE radius to enchanted arrow, instead of replacing it.
  • Chance of enemies seeing you in stealth now depend on your agility
  • Now when you accidentally attack friendly NPCs, they won't attack you back right away, and will only start attacking you if their health is lower than 70%
  • Fixed a couple of small bugs

Gedonia has been in Early access for a month now, and I just wanted to say thank you all for your support you've been providing. The game is in much more stable state right now. I've been able to bring 3 regular content updates in this month (items upgrading, abandoned manor and this one), and I hope that I will be able to get to the 4 weekly updates per month in the future. The main storyline is still in deep development stage, so don't expect it anytime soon, but meanwhile expect a lot of cool stuff to be added.

Blackthorn Arena - Muffin XXL
Dear players of the Blackthorns arena:
We sincerely apologize for the delay of the update, the large update we originally planned to launch at the end of June will be postponed until mid-July. This is mainly due to two reasons:

First of all, after we made a lot of new content and tested it, the performance of the test is not very satisfactory. We would like to ask a little more time to polish and improve some Details;

Secondly, we will add localization of five new languages ​​after the update (respectively Italian, French, German , Spanish and Russian), and our translators will need time to supplement the translation of new content since the official release in order to provide a localized experience that is as complete as possible.

In general, we hope that the updated version 1.1 (we will both update 1.0 + 1.1 in the same time) will become a fairly complete and stable version, so we would like to ask for more time to polish the game carefully and optimize all the unsatisfactory details.

Therefore, the content of this update will be more abundant than any of our previous updates, and it will be worth your wait.

The following are the main contents of the major 1.1 update :

1) Multiple optimizations of UI and sound effects.

2) A new special arena : The temple of the god of war Gortus.

3) New post-challenge : Gortus' Endless Challenge.

4) Several new legendary weapons.

5) Several new monsters.

6) Add a new kind of side mission map.

7) New build template system : Some NPC gladiators will automatically use build template. (In addition to the current NPC champion, NPC gladiators will have a large number of powerful(epic) gladiators )

8) The AI ​​trigger has been greatly improved.

9) Add a new plot mission.

10) New weapon skill and Genre : Martial arts and Monk ( Monk might need another week of time to import into the game)

11) New online leaderboard system: players can upload or download their own or other players' gladiator data while challenging other players' championships! (Half online mode)

12) A new DLC, including a new plot mission and a new plot competition. The final rewards are two sets of legendary armor symbolizing the goddess of victory, Alyanas, and the god of war, Gortus.

In addition to the above, other interesting content will be added.

Hi Everyone!

Been a minute. It's been crazy for me these past couple of weeks...

The first week was completely lost to Satisfactory. Excellent game but it robbed me of 67 hours of my life! Still I really needed the break do to all the political tensions going on...

The second week has been working on a new options menu for Vecter, applying and getting ready for a new job, and starting the process to buy an apartment so my wife and I no longer have to move every couple of years when the landloard decides to raise the rent sky-high.

So here's a brakedown of what's happening in the immediate future:

1. Update 0.4.3.0 is out with a new, redesigned options menu! Right now it doesn't contain any extra options but don't worry, the ones you've requested are coming shortly. I just wanted to make the menu work first and kick it out the door before adding yet more stuff.


2. We're going (I'm going?) back to the micro-updates model that we used to have a few months ago (Small, frequent updates for those of you who ware not around back then). The reason for this is because I got a new job and won't have as much time to work on big Vecter updates, so better to just provide small things here and there and keep everyone happy

3. As mentioned above, I got a new job! Which is great as this whole pandemic and furlough situation was sucking my bank account dry. This is excellent news for Vecter as well since that means I'll have development funds again and will maybe be able to afford that plugin that will allow me to do YouTube Streaming. I start my new job on Monday and Vecter will go back to being my hobby again as opposed to full-time distraction from the world burning up.

4. For the options menu, I've made two Patreon posts showing how it was built pretty much from nothing to something! You can find the two posts here: Part 1, Part 2

I tried making an interesting level as a finale for the demo in the last update, but I think it turned out to have too strong of a difficulty spike. This update just replaces that last level. I'll save the old one for the full version of the game.



Bake 'n Switch - mizanneee
It’s official! The baking bonanza is coming to PlayStation! On the official PlayStation Blog it was revealed that the couch co-op and PvP party game Bake ‘n Switch will also release on PlayStation with a brand new gameplay video showing off the game’s loveable Bakers and Buns! Bake ‘n Switch is slated for launch on PC and Nintendo Switch later this summer, the release date on PlayStation has not yet been set.

Bug fixes

Additions

- Ability to carry secondary tools. To switch back and forth between tools Press R by default. Key is rebindable in options menu.

- Tanker Replacement, New Engine, Heavy Rescue, and special ops truck.

- 3 Small levels return.

House Fire, Warehouse Fire, and the farm

Game changes

- Fan, and Gas Meter are now on all trucks under equipment

- Hazmat Tent, and suit are on the Rescue, and Special Ops Trucks

- Chainsaw has replaced the Rotary saw for now. It is just cosmetic, I will be making them separate tools soon each with their own specific uses

- Players will be unable to see servers with different patch versions now to prevent crashing for clients, and hosts

- Lots of back end improvements, as well as a lot of menus had complete code rewrites

- Sped up light alternation

- Added Remove all equipment in the tool menus

- Remove steam from fire for now due to it affecting performance. I will be optimizing the steam soon


Build 2.5 will bring another new engine, and ladder replacement. Improvements to open world, hazmat calls, and more. The 2nd part of the update will be live this weekend. A bug fix for this update will be live sometime on Friday.



How to access new update

Right click on game > Properties > Betas > Drop down box, choose testing

Save & Continue
You can now save and exit a run. The run can then be continued at any time. After clearing a map, and before boarding the elevator, pull the new save lever. Instead being taken to the next floor, your progress will be saved and you will be returned to HQ. Next time you enter the elevator in HQ, you'll be back from where you left off from your previous run.

Known bug:
Partially spent magazines and clip in weapons will be refilled when continuing a saved game.
