This is probably our very first devlog. We want to share a bit on the progress of When the Past was Around.
So far, we have mostly done with the level design for all the chapters of the game. Now we are on the polishing state. We’re trying to finish the art for all characters, adding some sequences, and working on other cosmetic stuff.
See the video below for a full preview of the cityscape art!
Work became a little harder for us since the team is now working from home because of the COVID-19 issue and internet speed here sucks. But, no matter how much difficulty we’re having, we’re still doing well and we’re trying to stay healthy, both physically and mentally. And we know people out there, including you, are also having a difficult time due to this pandemic.
We hope you all are doing great wherever you are! Thank you for all of your support until now and I hope we could deliver Edda and Owl’s story with the best of our capability.
Survivors! We are happy to bring good news for all those who love manufacturing their own parts!
Due to the fact that most of survivors don’t leave their garages, the factions of Wastelands decided to open unlimited access to their workbenches for crafting “rare” and “special” parts for everyone. During the whole special event, the rent of the workbenches producing rare and special parts will be absolutely free! Do not miss your chance to take advantage of this attractive offer!
Please note that the event will last until 23:55 GMT on April 5, 2020.
Attention! If you previously rented a workbench and you have paid uses left, then they will be available once the special event ends.
Armored Battle Crew [World War 1] - Tank Warfare and Crew Management Simulator - Gattai Games
Dear Tankers, We are very pleased to show you some of the very cool upcoming terrain editor tool features!
No Terrain is too ROUGH!!!
What can you do with the terrain editor tool?
You can easily sculpt the terrain using the brush with the mouse!
Adjust the height
Using the Height brush, you can elevate or depress the terrain. Great for giving you the height advantage or sending the enemy straight to hell.
Flatten the curve
Using the Flatten brush, you can set a height and paint the terrain to get a uniform height. Useful for making a bridge across the river without getting bitten by the crocodiles!
Smooth It
Got stuck on an uneven slope? No problem comrade, use the Smooth brush to smoothen out the rocky edges and you are good to go. You can try it out on your face too (result not guaranteed)!
Features that will be considered further down the road:
Paint the terrain (grass, mud etc)
Paint grass, flower
Place barbed wires, buildings, trees etc
Leave a comment or like if you love what you are seeing!

You'd think that self-isolation would be great for an indie dev, right? Forced to be inside?
Well, yes and no. More no than yes.
Release dates are all sorts of wacky right now. Halloween Times is going to hit its mark, but Rainbow Hollow may slip. I recently moved to Boston, and as such, have not been able to fully focus on game development. I'm taking a few days for myself until my work computer arrives late this week. Even then, I'm all out of sorts and discombobulated from both being in a new city, and not being able to get my bearings because of COVID-19 and the mess it caused. Oh, and I feel like I'm getting sick. No, not COVID symptoms, more like weird stomach stuff.
I've got a schedule, but it is pretty tight, and when push comes to shove, it doesn't look good for the experiment known as Rainbow Hollow getting out anytime soon. I'm much more confident of getting Halloween Times out before summer, and even then, it is going to miss April completely for a May launch. Maybe. We'll see.
In the coming weeks, we'll be putting up a poll and a forum thread about what people liked and disliked about the first two Army of Tentacles games. Take into mind that we would be revamping the quest, inventory, and attribute/stat systems regardless of comments and criticism.
