3. Add Coastal Maps and Coastal Enemies
4. Add Navigator leaders & cards.
5. Add more elite enemies and bosses.

As we prepared for this update, we took a step back and summarized the path we walked developing the Ratropolis.
There were players satisfied with the game, and also players that were are not.
The feedback returned from many players have shown us what to improve. So, we decided to extend the early access period and to make big changes in the game by accepting player's feedback.

< New Roadmap >
1. Strengthening the characteristics of leaders
  - Create a unique card pool for leaders (over 100 new cards are expected)
  - Create a Leader related unique event
  - Create a Leader-specific adviser

2. Reorganization of advisers
  - Modify Advisers to have stronger influence in the game
  - Add a new adviser
  - Modify military adviser that issues cards

3. Strengthening regional characteristics
  - Add a unique system based on regions
  - Create a unique local event

There are also trivial items that need to be improved, such as polishing / balance / UI, which we plan to improve as we add new contents to the game.

We are very grateful for your feedback and encouragement.
We care about your comments and inspect them throughly, so if you think we are missing a major point or content in the game, please leave a comment.
In addition, we would appreciate it if you spread your fun experience with Ratropolis to friends or families! So that we can receive more opinions.

I would like to thank all of the Ratizens for making Ratropolis together. I think Ratizens and the Cassel games are the same team.
We humbly ask you to look forward to our further development!

The wolves are on the prowl, and they are more hungry than ever! The thrilling Wolf Truce event is back, and this is your chance to take part of this ten day event until March 29th!

Wolves! Wolves
When a battle starts, there is a chance that a number of wolf packs join the fray, attacking any who stand in their way. In the face of this canine threat, players will have the option to call on a temporary truce in order to deal with this new hungry foe.

There are many historical reports and stories about the danger wolves posed on the Eastern Front. Driven from their habitats due to the war, they attacked civilians and soldiers alike! Soldiers often took precautions, trying to drive them off with machinegun fire and even poison gas.

The Wolf Truce event has been inspired on these accounts and gives players a unique dilemma on the battlefield; do you call on a truce to face this new foe, or do you use the chaos to press on?

What’s new?
For the third iteration of this event, we’ve made a number of improvements on the UI pertaining the grace period and the truce timer. In addition, the wolves are more aggressive than ever, killing you in 2 bites instead of 3 and you can’t outrun them that easily anymore...

That’s not all, aside from the truce we also made several fixes and improvements such as a more lenient AFK time in private and public matches. For a full overview of all changes and fixes be sure to check out the changelog here.

How to earn The Wolf Truce medal
When the wolves attack, players can enact a Wolf Truce in order to deal with this threat. If they manage to fend off this attack without killing or injuring anyone on the opposing team, they all earn the Wolf Truce medal! But earning this medal is harder than it sounds as the game will not enforce any truce.

When the wolves attack, there will be a minute warning before the truce period starts. A timer shows how long the wolves will continue to attack both sides. The game will notify players if the truce has been broken by someone who injured or killed anyone of the opposite side during this period. If players maintain this truce until the timer ends, they will all earn a Wolf Truce medal!

Want to join in on the fray? Tannenberg is now at a 55% discount!

Good luck and be wary of the eyes in the forest!

Valgrave: Immortal Plains - BlueFire
We now have full localization support for Chinese! Also some changes to increasing the stability of game servers.

Note: Keybindings will be reset this patch again to fix some issues we caused last patch and allow for localization. They should be more stable in future patches.

Quality of Life Features:
- Clients now use DNS name to instead of raw IP address to connect to game servers (should improve network routing)
- Fonts now support symbols, emojis, and dingbats (so you can properly show off your fancy Steam names)
- Updated end game screen to more clearly show rewarded coin quantity
- Saved input settings are now validated to protect against starting games with busted key bindings

Bug Fixes:
- Kill notifications no longer say "Someone" when killed by the zone
- Fixed a client side memory leak
- Fixed bug where ForwardDashAttack would sometimes never end block further ability activations (please let us know if someone experiences this after this patch)
- Fixed a handful of potentially problematic pointers in the code (less likely to cause server crashes)
- Fixed a bug where zone would continue to close when game has ended (potential cause for some server crashes)

Miner's Mettle - Ignatius
Hello!

We're excited to be releasing soon! We've been planning our roadmap during Early Access, which we will likely put up on Trello and post a link for you to check out before launch.

I do want to give more detail here however before we do that:

1) The Campaign - We will start work on our campaign imminently after Early Access launch! This is where the lion's share of effort will be expended during Early Access. We're aiming for approximately 24 missions, which should come to a 10 hour experience.

Play Roland, an ex-artillery officer as he navigates the treacherous world of Pentum by his cousin John's side. We will share more lore and the background of the factions soon!

2) Weather - A weather system with multiple weather events. Each map will have 1 or 2 which will come and go on the turbulent planet of Pentum. Sandstorms and blizzards will slow units and reduce visibility, earthquakes will decrease accuracy, meteor showers can be fatal...

3) Abilties - Further broadening and deepening the abilties for the four factions, increasing tactical flexibility, deepening strengths and shoring up weaknesses as you evolve your strategy in-game.

4) New Modes - Depending on player feedback, suggestions and reception, we will add in new modes (both single player and multiplayer)

5) New maps

6) Balancing and Bug Fixes - Self explanatory!

Of course, these plans are tentative and depending on player suggestions and feedback we're willing to add, remove or shuffle things around!

This should give you an idea of what we have planned over the coming months. Keep an eye out for our Trello some time soon, as well as our post detailing some of the lore and background of the world of Miner's Mettle!

Thanks,
Ahad

Hunting Matchlock
We have reworked the movements you can make while equipping a hunting matchlock because we have heard that squatting and standing up with a matchlock was inconvenient due to the lack of speed and connectivity of these movements. Therefore we have focused on alleviating these issues. We hope that thanks to these changes you will be able to be more reactive to different situations while hunting.
  • We have changed how you move while equipping a hunting matchlock as follows.
    • Increased the speed you squat or stand up by 30%.
    • If you are going from squatting to standing up when you try to move forward, you will walk forward and not move forward from a squatting position.
    • You can now start moving while reloading your matchlock.
    • You will now reload your three bullets one at a time instead of three at once.
      • If you get interrupted while reloading (e.g. due to a CC status effect) the bullet you were currently reloading will not count and only the number of bullets you have reloaded so far will be in your matchlock. This means you could end up with zero, one, or two bullets reloaded instead of the usual three.
    • You can now start rolling while reloading your matchlock. However, this will count as an interruption and the reload will be unsuccessful.
      • You can start rolling while reloading your matchlock from both a standing or squatting position.

New Sea Coin Shop
We wanted Sea Coins to not only be useful for the Great Ocean contents and but also become a more universally useful currency. Therefore we want to add more ways you can use the coins so there is more supply and demand for these coins.

This is why we added a new Sea Coin Shop to Lema Island. You can buy certain useful items and Manos accessories there with Sea Coins. However, to try and minimize the effect this might have on the Silver-based economy, we have put purchase limits on the items sold in this new shop.

  • Ravinia's twin sister Rebinia has opened up a Sea Coin Shop on Lema Island.
    • You can purchase the following items from Rebinia's shop.
    • You can only purchase the special, limited boxes containing the items below from Rebinia on Lema Island.
  • You can no longer exchange Sea Coin Coupons for Manos accessories via Ravinia.

  • You can now sell each Sea Coin Coupon to Ravinia or Rebinia for Sea Coin x10.

  • You can now only enter the Altar of Blood if your HP is at 100%.

BS:ER is still under development, as I’m sure you’re aware, and the game will continue to be improved well into the future. We also read all of your feedback from our 4th Alpha Test and took a lot of it into consideration when developing the game and making changes.

We hope that these patch notes help you further enjoy BS:ER!

[Character]
New character: Hart
Hart, the Peacekeeper, will be taking center stage on Lumia Island. Along with the power of music, she’ll be bringing her own unique weapon type - Guitars.
She will also be featuring a new “Evolution” system. The first time she crafts an Uncommon Guitar, a rare Guitar, or an epic Guitar, she gains 1 evolution point, so you’ll get a max of 3. You can then choose a skill to evolve, granting improvements to your abilities, which you can check out here:

  • Feedback (Passive)
    • If Hart deals damage to an enemy with a normal attack, she recovers 1/1.5/2% of her SP.
When evolved: an additional sound wave is discharged with every normal attack, dealing .25AP damage. She discharges one additional sound wave per Evolution point.
  • Q - Delay
    • Hart strums her guitar, charging her sound waves. When she strums the guitar again, the charged sound waves are released. She can charge for up to 4 seconds, and maintain the sound wave for 4 seconds. She deals 60-180/80-240/100-300/120-360/140-420 (+0.2-0.6 AP) damage, depending on how long she charges.
When evolved: Reduces the movement speed of enemies hit. Movement speed reduction increases per number of Evolution points.
  • W - Overdrive
    • Hart plays a lick on her guitar, increasing her Attack Power for 5 seconds.
When evolved: Reduces enemies' defense to her next sound wave. (Does not affect Weapon Skills.)
  • E - Flanger
    • Hart quickly dashes in the targeted direction. She can activate this skill an additional two times. She moves 2m and strums her guitar, discharging sound waves in a 4m area around her and dealing 20/30/40/50/60 (+0.3AP) damage to enemies hit
When evolved: Activating this skill grants skill damage amplification for 4 seconds. This effect stacks up to 3 times. The amplification amount increases per number of Evolution points.
  • R - Peacemaker
    • Hart puts on a show for 5 seconds, causing all her enemies in a 7/8/9m range around her to dance. For every second of her performance, she recovers HP. Enemies attending the concert have their movement speed reduced
When evolved: Reduces the SP of all dancing per second. SP reduction amount increases per number of Evolution Points.
[Balance Changes]
We’re really tweaking numbers and working on finding a good fit for every character and their favorite items. Almost every single weapon has been adjusted from the last Alpha. If I were to list every single item and change, these patch notes would be more like a patch novel!
It’s been a few months since our last test, so we’ve made a lot of changes. However, going forward, we plan to have more frequent, minor, changes as opposed to infrequent large ones.

  • Traps
    • Traps now have a cast time to set.
    • Overall trap damage has been reduced
  • Mastery
    • Wild animals now give more experience initially, but additional experience decreases depending on level.
    • Animals now give 10% more experience in the beginning of the match and up to 5% less at their highest level.
    • Trap crafting experience has been reduced from 10%
    • Trap mastery level bonus damage has been reduced from 5% to 4%
    • Operating the CCTV console now grants a bit of searching experience.

[Weapon Skills]
Hart is bringing her Guitar to the mix, so that means another cool new weapon skill. Just like all the other weapon skills, each weapon type's unique skills can be unlocked at Mastery Lv. 7 and Enhanced and Mastery Lv. 14. There were also some tweaks to the other weapons skills.
  • Guitar - Love &...
    • Release a sound wave in the targeted direction, dealing 1.25AP / 2AP damage to the first enemy hit. Enemies hit by the sound wave are possessed by the music, moving towards the source of the wave for 2 seconds.
  • Weapon Skill Changes
    • Sniper (Sniper Rifle):
      • Cast time 2 seconds - > 1 second
    • Quick Cut (Rapier):
      • Damage: 2AP -> 1AP
      • Quick Cut will now always critically strike, dealing 2x damage.
      • Cooldown: 30 > 15 seconds at second level.
    • Overheat (Assault Rifle)
      • At level skill level 1, the knockback applies to every 3rd attack.
      • At skill level 2, the knockback applies to every attack,
    • Expulsion Shot (Crossbow)
      • Knockback distance: 4m -> 5m
[What’s New?]
  • Store
Your one stop shop for all things BS:ER!
    • The store is open. It will be the place for you to purchase all of your favorite BS:ER characters with new currencies, A-Coin and NP.
  • Voices
Am I crazy or am I hearing voices?
    • Sure, the ambient sounds of Lumia are great and all, but the addition of character voices make it sound even better! The playable characters will have voice lines in English and Korean! You can pick which one you want to listen to! There are specific voice lines for specific situations, so be sure you play a lot and try and hear them all.
  • New items
    • With the addition of Hart, she will gain access to Guitar item type. Following that, 16 different guitars have been added.
    • Two items that we carried over from the original Black Survival will be changed. “Holy Blood” is now “VF Blood Sample” and the “Arcane Stone” is now “Force Core”.
  • Tutorial
Getting started in Lumia can be a challenge.
    • We’ve created a tutorial with your favorite serial killer, Jackie, showing you the ropes of Lumia. It’s a great resource to help players, new and old, discover how to play and fully experience all that BS:ER has to offer.
  • Item descriptions
    • Some items have had their descriptions updated.
    • Gun descriptions now display the gun’s max ammo.
    • Traps now display effects, such as slows, roots, etc.
  • New Languages:
    • Russian
    • Thai
    • Vietnamese
  • New Loading Screen Image
    • While the game loads in, before you select your starting weapon and area, there’s a nice new image. Pretty.

[Improvements]
  • Map improvements
..I think I’ve been here before
    • We added some cool landmarks all round the map and gave Lumia a little more life to help remind you where you are at a glance.
    • Many item boxes have been changed to more properly match the region.
    • The Alley has been made smaller, but the number of items remains the same, improving efficiency.
  • New item icons
    • BS:ER has tons of items and our art team is working hard on making the icons for them all look awesome, so we updated some old ones and added new ones for items that didn’t have icons yet.
  • Initial Restricted Area changes
Where are you gonna start first?
    • The first restricted areas will not be immediately assigned at the start of the game. This’ll give you all some more time to explore and move around the map and allows for more dynamic gameplay.
  • Zoom out
    • Whenever you equip an item that increases your vision range, your camera will zoom out a bit and give you an extended view of the area around you.
  • Navigation / UI
My UI is so clean now!
    • The in-game UI now displays materials you can hunt/collect.
    • The yellow triangle is your friend! The yellow triangle in the top left of the item icon will appear wherever the item is found. If there’s no yellow triangle, it’s not in your targeted items, and you’re free to delete it.
  • Targeted Items in game
    • Previously, if you built or crafted something, the item would remain in your “targeted items” area on the top right of your screen. Good news: we fixed that. When you build or loot something in that menu, it’ll disappear. This cleans things up a bit.
    • When you select targeted items, a little yellow arrow triangle symbol thing would appear on the top left of the icons when you could craft it. That little yellow mark now follows you into your inventory! At a glance, it’s much easier to see what items build into now.
  • Automatically equip items
Your Headband didn’t disappear from your inventory! You just equipped it!
    • If you have an empty item slot and you loot or craft something, you’ll automatically equip it and a sound will play alerting you that it happened.Targeted items in inventory
  • Hyperloops visible on Saved Plans map
    Zippin' around Lumia
    • You can now see hyperloops on the saved plans menu map. You can now more easily devise an extended route for getting all your items.
  • Total stats in saved plans
The numbers.. What do they mean?!
    • You can now get an overview of the combined stats of each item you plan on building. You can check this out in the “Saved plans” section when you’re selecting your items!
  • Better highlighting of containers
Ahh, so the piano wire was in the vending machine this time!
    • Containers and boxes stand out a lot more, so it’s easier to see them on the map. It’s also easier to see which ones you might’ve missed behind walls or elsewhere.
  • Japanese fonts are now more readable.

[Bug Fixes]
Like every piece of software ever created, we also had some bugs. Thank you so much everyone for reporting them and helping us recreate and fix them.
  • Weapon skills:
    • Glove: Fixed a bug when using ‘Uppercut’ that caused the additional damage to apply to skills as well, instead of only basic attacks.
  • Jackie
    • Fixed a bug where the duration of the bleed effect of her passive went up with her character level. Bleed duration is now fixed at 5 seconds.
  • Nadine
    • Fixed a bug where the tooltip for “Squirrel Trap” wasn’t displaying damage correctly.
  • Zahir
    • Zahir’s passive, “Eye of Azrael”, is now only activated after killing an enemy.
  • Traps
    • You no longer take damage when outside of the range of exploding traps.
Squashed the bug where quickly clicking would install two traps.
