We are happy to announce that the game's FULL RELEASE will be on JANUARY 28TH. Putting the DEFINITIVE version of the game out there in the wild is an exciting milestone for the team. We just can't wait for players to see what awaits them.
We've been hard at work putting the final level of polish on the game in anticipation for this full release. Everything else has been building to this moment since we launched the game in Early Access on November 7th. Since that time, your feedback has helped shape the game in ways we would have never foreseen. We wanted to make sure everyone had a reason to return - even veteran players. So, there's A LOT of new content coming your way.
Here's just a taste:
An all-new ending & theme song.
New voices.
Secret rooms waiting to be discovered.
All bonus main screen wallpapers.
Artbook and original game soundtrack.
New "kill screens" (poor Mina).
Trading cards.
10 new Achievements.
Some major script edits (for other languages).
And, of course, bug fixes (which we will continue to improve).
Honestly, there are so many small touches that we've added here and there throughout the experience, it's difficult to list them here. We're sure you'll appreciate all of them though. Join us on Discord and meet your fellow adventurers today!
- Added new puzzle right after getting the translocator to teach the behaviour of cardboards better; also changed the way a secret area works there; and added a new secret area here too - Fixed possible bug when putting objects into color machine - Improved handling of rank plates (can get pulled out of socket with beam; has better rotation while carrying) - Changed the way 2 secret areas near the purple crystal work (require knowledge but not abilities from later in the game) - Added new mini volcano interaction possibility with other things - Improved button prompt hint when you first need to burn a cardboard - Made progression visually clearer in Volcano1 because most people didn't know where to go - Improved magnet behaviour when attracting things to you (so they don't wildly swirl around you anymore and you can now float up heavy objects while attracting light ones) - If player gets stuck inside the door in Volcano4 they will now get teleported in front of the door and get an additional hint displayed - Don't need to do the way back across the big water under the wood logs anymore, only need to get to the chest. - Fixed laser trigger becoming green when the force beam goes through it (it now gets ignored) - Fixed missing footstep sounds when strafing of walking backwards - Shells now a little more visible - Fixed bug introduced in the last updated regarding the with chest/grave detector - Improved gun arm animation when standing close to wall - Small improvements here and there

Whether you've already celebrated the new year or will be celebrating the upcoming Chinese and Lunar New Years (or all of the above!), we wish you a very happy 2020 from Team CHKN!
We're celebrating by downloading more amazing player-created creatures. Here are a few of our recent favorites.
That's a LOT of feathers. But don't be fooled! It's just a clever way to distract you from deadly laser eyes. Tricksy dino. It also somehow looks quite fashionable, don't you think?
Marionic is back with this longboi, aptly named Cattlesnake. From the description: "While this creature may seem like an easy target, it has a pretty solid defense and a mean charge to boot." We can also confirm it makes a great mount creature!
We thought this was creepy until we actually downloaded it. Then it was terrifying. And awesome. We're not sure how it fares in combat but we're going to try… as soon as we work up the courage.
Maciek is also kindly contributing to our nightmares with this tallboi based on the Striders from Half-Life 2. If you've played that game, you're probably having flashbacks right now. It's okay; this one is much cuter.
More pigmen! To round out this list and add to our ever-growing collection of pink humanoids, we give you this pickaxe warrior. Keep this guy on your side. You don't want to see him angry. (Also, hilarious bonus: the pickaxe flops around and it's great.)
You can subscribe to any of these in the Workshop to bring them into your own games. (Click on the links and hit the "Subscribe" button, or search for them in-game.) Modify them, befriend them, or fight them to the death. It's up to you!
If you'd like to see your own creations shared in the future, be sure to link them over on Discord in the #creatures channel. Please keep sharing them with us! We love seeing all your creations.
Also, just a quick reminder that we're still working on those system upgrades. (As mentioned previously, we're currently focused on fixing lost data/multiplayer issues and improving performance, both of which are big things that require more time to address.) As soon as we have something new for you guys to test, we'll let you know. Thanks for your patience!
Happy new year and we wish you great happiness and prosperity in 2020!
so...today we have no "real" patchnotes for you....
maybe we have great news for you.
otherwise, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Heir of Darkness now uses another Engine because the old one doesnt fit to this game and doesnt support some of our planned features.
dont be disappointed if the game feels and looks like another game, we used 90% of the assets from the old engine but we cant recompile and rescript all of the assets.
now we can keep our promises about our planned features like multiplayer, unique fighting system etc.
so...this means
for US: we could finish this game earlier and easier than before. we can keep our promises about the planned features.
for YOU: same price!
massive improved graphics with 0% improved ressources needed. means, you have better graphics and needs the same minimum requirements.
better fighting and physics system.
multiplayer and live support already in the beta version.
We are very thankful for all the response we got after the latest update. We know which stuff needs improvement. In the next update, we are going to address most of your feedback.
Few of the changes to come: Fixes to graphical errors and glitches Sex progression system rework, it'll be easier and more subtle. Sex animations and controls improved + NEW sex poses! Improvements to the overall performance of the game.
