Familiar Travels - Volume One - Halftone Studios
First things first, thank you for everyone who joined our discord server and helped report bugs. Although we have a diverse team of talented writers, composers, and artists, I am the only developer for the game so had a bit of a tough time getting through some of these bugs.

I have added a day indicator at the start of each day and night, fixed the looping with every route, and added some QOL updates. In other words, the game is completely playable from start to finish. This is really the standard of quality that should have came out on release, and I deeply apologize for that not being the case.

I imagine there still may be minor glitches and typos in the game, and any help with spotting those in our discord server is appreciated.

Rest assured the second part won't be released until we are 100% stable and polished.

With this version get ready for a bunch of news, including:
  • A Bug reporting System has been added to help us during the development process. You can either manually report a bug from the pause menu, or let the system handle it whenever something goes wrong.
  • We implemented a localization system to be ready for translating to new languages! For testing purposes, aside of English, Italian is now available. Languages can be switched through Options inside the main menu.
  • We kept working on the user interface to make all papers, letters and assets detail more readable and organized. There's still a lot to do, but we hope you will appreciate the small steps :)
  • Cards granting bonus actiong (such as the Abbess) has been reworked once again, to hopefully crush every remaining bug during their usage.
  • Many other small improvements both on the AI and on the general game system (which, as always, you can read on our Trello page.

(Shortly after this hotfix we will roll a client-side update out, which will re-active the unlock effects for Blood Bond purchases. This update will not require server downtime, and players will be able to download it at their convenience.)



Blood Bonds

  • Clicking on a Blood Bond pack now locks the UI while the transaction is in progress. This will prevent the ability of clicking multiple Blood Bond packs and thus sending multiple purchase requests at the same time.

Developer Note:
This should prevent accidental purchase and improve the overall flow of the process.
We will be in touch with players that had issues previously and contacted our customer support to ensure that all transactions were performed successfully and all Blood Bonds were received.




General Fixes
  • Fixed a number of reported crashes
  • Fixed an issue that caused a visible "grain filter" during Night time of day and when using dark sight

Many of you have participated on our public tests, so you probably know that the update is about the new economy system we are bringing into the game.
