Players receive 20 XP for every minute they stay alive during the match.
Placement Bonus
Players receive an experience bonus for placing top 3.
200 XP for 1st place.
150 XP for 2nd place.
100 XP for 3rd place.

Players receive an experience bonus for their first elimination, and experience for each elimination thereafter.
Hey everyone, as promised in the New Year edition of the Staxel Reporter, today we’ll be giving you guys a little glimpse at one of the new features you can expect to see in the next content update. We’ve been getting back into the swing of things this week after the holidays, so without further ado let’s jump right in and take a look! (screenshots included)
Magic Update
As mentioned before, we’ve recently been hard at work developing the next update for Staxel but we haven’t actually spoken that much about it. We did briefly mention some of the planned features for this update in the last issue of the Reporter, so if you haven’t read it be sure to check that out here:
That said, this time round we’re going to touch on one of the new features specifically...
Islands!
Well... besides the main island at least. :P
Players will be able to travel from the main island to some smaller islands, each with their own particular uses and designs and which will provide the player with specific rewards such as materials for crafting.
We’re a good way through the first island, so let’s take a little peek at what it looks like below.
Mining Island showcase
The ‘mining island’ is the first island we’ve been putting together. The island itself will be accessible by portal, and after a bit of exploration you'll find even more portals which will transport you to the different levels of the mine. Let’s have a look at some screenies so you can see what we have so far. (Keep in mind this is still a work in progress and changes are likely to be made!)
Only one part of the island will be accessible to start with. This will lead you to the first level of the mines where you'll begin to explore the branching caverns and underground lakes. There’s a lot to discover down here, so keep your eyes open, you never know what might find!
One very important aspect of the mines is gathering. Down here you’ll find ore which isn’t available on the main island. You’ll be able to use these ores to upgrade your tools! Upgrading your tools can have a big impact on your workflow, making you much more efficient during your day to day chores, leaving you more time to relax… or to expand your farming empire.
The key to the mining island is to keep exploring, but do try not to get lost. It’s easy to get carried away when you see shiny things in the distance so keep your wits about you and you’ll be just fine. With that said, I’m not going to share any more secrets for now, you’re going to have to go in and discover the rest for yourself!
We hope you’ve enjoyed this little sneak peak of the mines. We’ll be revealing more details about the different islands you’ll be able to visit (as well as some other new features we’re working on) in upcoming issues of the Staxel Reporter. Remember to keep an eye on our social media pages, or better yet, join our Discord community to participate in some active discussion about the upcoming content!

Dear Peoples,
The 1.0.2 update is planned to be released by the end of next week.
I’m currently testing it like a madman (and reporting my findings, accompanied by some obscene insults, to Mr. Programmer) and will continue to do so in the following days to (try to) make sure no nasty new bugs will be introduced like it happened in the build of 22 December (scout and script consultant crash after loading a savegame...).
While this next update still primarily focuses on bugfixes, it will also include several new random events as well as a couple of good tweaks and a nice surprise (manager customization).
I hope that once the new version is uploaded, we can finally start working on some meaningful/bigger new features, based also on your invaluable feedback.
– by popular demand. It won’t be a flashy ingame stuff but you will be able to easily change your character’s name (and the agency’s name) in a settings file + you can change the character’s photo and the agency’s logo, too.
„Load Game&New Game vs Quit to Main Menu” bugfix
: this will rid the game of the „multiplied messages/events” bug as well as crashes stemming from this issue, without needing to quit to Windows/restart game before loading a savegame or starting a new game.
„Too few movies during September-December” bugfix
– from 2019, the number of new movies dramatically decrease from around September (and only get back to normal the following January). This was due to a reckless randomizer algorithm, which we’ve finally managed to tame.
A bunch of new random events
– bunch of new random events from our critically berated writer.
Close windows by pressing ESC „feature”
– people have started to sue us for getting bad tendonitis in their hands from having to click so much and we have no money for legal fees – hence the addition.
It's Marten here with some good news, because Dollhouse is confirmed to come out this year for Steam and PlayStation 4! Right now we don't have any more specifics, but you can expect more details to come your way soon.
Of course we'd love to launch the game rather sooner than later, but we want to do this right and not rush it, so at this point we can't be more specific than this. In the meantime we also revamped the game's artwork, so go ahead and check out the Steam page ːsteamhappyː. I'd like to thank you a lot for your patience and I'll catch all of you next time!
The Random contract rotation has been changed temporarily and only consists of Stillwater Bayou missions in order to investigate the issues caused by the Lawson Delta missions.
In the meantime we will always have Lawson Delta missions as separate contracts in all regions.
We now have better insight into the cause of the problems and will return the Lawson Delta map into the rotation as soon as the its fixed.
Happy new year everyone! Thanks to those who have followed and wishlisted my new upcoming puzzle-adventure game Discolored, your support is really appreciated!
Towards the end of January I will be sending out a demo for Discolored and I'd like to share it with you. I'd love to show you how the game is coming along and also get any feedback you might have about the experience.
The demo will be about 30% of the full game and this demo will only be available to people who sign up through the Discolored website.
Those who sign up will receive a key towards the end of January. And as a 'thank you' for being a tester, users will also have the option to have their name in the game's credits as a tester when filling out the feedback form. I'll also be sending out occasional updates on the development of the game, but I promise not to get spammy. :)
